The Shade reached back and waved behind Simon’s head. Mircea blinked. ‘’Yes, of course brother.’’ he watched the black-clad figure make fun of his brother right in front of the rest of the Carsteins and nobody bat an eye.

‘’I shall have my servants pack my bags immediately………Tell me, everyone, is there something wrong feeling here? I have the strangest feeling suddenly.’’ he began to ask.

‘’It’s useless you know’’ the black-clad figure said. He cocked his head to look at Simon. ‘’Handsome chap isn’t he? But then again you where never really one who cared about appearances now Lord Marshal?’’

Karl raised an eyebrow but his tone was less uppity than before
"No Nephew...are you alright Micrea...have you fed recently?" the Baron asked a note of concern in his voice.
Then a faint smile touched his lips
"You want to be refreshed for the dance floor eh?"

Saul was so shocked he nearly had a seizure.. called 'Lord' twice in the same conversation.. he was almost certain that it had never happened before. Lord Delegardt.. he repeated the name in his head a couple of times and found, unsurprisingly, that he liked the sound of it.. albeit without the stupid accent that his conciousness kept saying it with.

He stood up out of his chair and bowed his head to the nearby vampires..

"My Lord.." He nodded at Simon, "Baron.." He nodded at Karl, "Thank you.." He addressed the new arrival, not knowing his name.

"I should probably attend my Lady.. as you pointed out, it would be unwise to leave her unaccompanied in such company.."

He turned and walked out of the room without waiting for any kind of reply.. and of course, totally ignoring Mircea in the process..

The black-clad figure knelt down and observed Simon’s hand. He whistled in awe. ‘’So that’s the Von Carstein ring? Kinda plain doncha think?’’ he questioned. ‘’But it gives immortality, true immortality’’

‘’You could have had it,’’ The black clad figure began circling the throne. ‘’But he tricked you, how sad that brothers lie and trick each other, such a cruel, cruel world.’’ He stopped in front of Simon.

‘’Damn, that’s a nice throne room,’’ he observed it. ‘’And you have to stand, how depressing, but then again that’s what the heir of Vashanesh gets.’’ he stated.

He clapped his hands together suddenly. ‘’But, if he’s the heir of Vashanesh, what does that make you?’’ he asked. Mircea remained silent, trying to ignore him. ‘’I know! You are the Golden One!’’ he shouted triumphantly.

Mircea stared blankly. He wanted to respond with his usual arrogance, but he dare not to in front of his family. He did not even notice Saul leaving. The black-clad figure’s demeanor seemed to slip.

‘’Oh, I get it, you were not around in that time, you don’t get the reference, why don’t you ask Karl over there?’’ he mentioned.

Mircea coughed. ''Yes of course, pardon me Karl, but do you know who the Golden One is? I just recalled some of the thralls taking about him.''

Lesa looked blankly at the key Walach gestured to before shrugging again,
"It was only a minor spell." She looked once more at the lizard before shaking her head. She had serious doubts as to his trustworthiness, but Vekarin had trusted her word over the Carsteins, she owed him the same respect.

"What about his magical artefacts?" she said, "will you also be giving them back, considering the harm they can do to us. I may be able to negate them, but I cannot be around all the time. Even your plate would be hard pressed to resist his blade Vekarin."

"My Liege!" The Duke looked up as Aubervillier approached. He and Victarias had walked back to the keep in silence, both enjoying each other's company, each deep in thought.
"How goes it?" the Duke questioned, gesturing to the keep. The look on his lieutenants face was enough, and the Duke shook his head, glad he had not wasted his time.
"How the Council still survives is beyond understanding," Aubervillier said with disgust, "they quarrel like old women. At one point blood was to be drawn until Mistress Lesa intervened." The Duke listened intently her was brought up to speed, ending with the capture of the human,
"I left when they said they would interrogate him. There was no use staying, and so I returned and made sure your army was ready to ride at your command."
"You have done well Aubervillier," the Duke said, a note of pride in his voice, "now go, feed, relax. I have no doubt we will move as soon as we know where the ruby is." His son bowed low, before walking away back to the Duke's encampment.
"I suppose we had see what progress they have made, and no doubt you will be wanting to see your husband." The Duke could not help the bitterness in his voice at the last sentence, as he strode off into the keep, determined Victarias would not see the pain on his face.

Trinity stood still for a moment, the sudden arrival of Muller's younger companion was an unexpected surprise. Confident and bold, she asked a lot of questions.. personal questions, in a bizarrely sensual way.. Trinity just smiled back at her with raised eyebrows.

It was fair to say that Hati was a very attractive young lady, and whilst Trinity had never had any intentions towards her, she couldn't help but be pulled in by Hati's teasing behaviour.. and she was hungry; for blood and satisfaction, Saul's unexpected departure had only increased her desire for more of the same.

She took the extended wrist and inhaled, breathing deeply the scent of blood and something else, something slightly off.. dog. This wasn't a repulsive scent, instead Trinity found it intriguing; revelling in her newly enhanced sense of smell.

She lightly stepped inside Hati's reach and ran her nose up the length of Hati's arm; still curious about the dual scents.. on the one hand, the blood was almost begging to be released from her veins, but the extra scent gave it an edge which didn't really make the mouth water.. at least not in that sense. Trinity continued to inhale, up the side of Hati's neck and along her jaw before pulling away slightly.

"You don't smell like food.."

The Baron tapped the Table looking concerned...
"Marc follow Lord Delegardt....those wolves...I do not trust them."
The Blood Dragon bowed and left.
Hearing Micrea ask a question Karl raised an eyebrow
"Golden One...Golden One...the name is familiar..." he murmered.
He tapped the table for a moment then nodded slightly
"Ah yes Damek told me something about it....you remember Damek? Mannfred's son? Well he heard it from Skellen that disgusting fool."
Karl nodded once again
"Yes that was it, Konrad believed the Golden one would rise against him and some such, he believed it was Jerek I think so he tried to kill him...I can not quite recall...I think it refered to Mannfred in the end who would lead to Konrad's demise or some such." he said
Shrugging
"It was a true term anyway, why do you ask Micrea?"

________________

Marc soon caught up with Saul seeing his questioning look the Blood Dragon spoke
"Mi'Lord, The Baron wished for me to accompany you...whilst you can control your get easily by imposing your will...the Dog...ah...wolfmen may be less agreeable." he informed him.
Then wondering if Saul was alarmed he continued
"I have no idea which or how many are there...I smelt the dog flesh and that was all." he continued.

Peter ducked the bullet, but in doing so, over balanced. As he teetered on the edge of the balcony, he saw Akarin charge towards him. He ran through the flames, and the sparks ignited on his clothes. However he did not slow down.

"No Akarin, don't," Peter cried, but he was too late. The assasin jumped at him. The pair hung for a split second on the edge of the balcony, beofre the von Carstein realised his mistake.

"Oh craaaaaaaaaaaaap," the pair yelled in unison as they plumbeted towards the group of assembled vampires below.

The two combatants landed with a sickening crunch on Simon's grand table. The crunch however did not come from either the Blood Dragon or the von Castein. The smoking duo had landed with such force as to actually crack the ancient oak that the Council was seated around.

The Count looked less than pleased.

‘’It’s nothing, just a whim’’ Mircea replied. Across the room the Shade made a mocking gesture and disappeared in a swirl of darkness. ‘’It’s nothing at all’’ he muttered.

He looked on as Peter and Akarin crashed down. ‘’That was quite reckless for you, we are leaving for Nuln soon anyway’’ he announced. The sight if his old comrade reaffirmed his resolve.

*************

‘’I think we shall be fine milady,’’ Walach replied. ‘’I have fought against such beings before, and while they are mighty warriors they can be defeated and killed. If you have concern for your compatriots I can assign some of my Order to fight alongside them.’’ he offered politely.

Karl looked worried for a moment after Micrea until that is the two vampire smashed into the table
"BLASTED!" he cried out and attempted to stand however his weakened legs give way and he ended up toppling over his chair and crashing into the ground.

Akarin jumped to his feet looking embaressed
"Ah...Count! I believe that Peter might have destroyed some of your property!" he said with a note of innocence in his voice.
Walking over to the count he muttered under his voice
"Oh come Count...you know if I had been truely bent on it he would be dead." he muttered.

Karl meanwhile had seized up his cane and struggled to his feet
"I'm going to gut you Akarin!" he shouted angrily twisting the top of his cane which detached and revealed a hidden thin blade.

''Wait,'' Mircea mentioned. ''Maybe you should wait so that he can explain himself more fully, I would like to hear what exactly happened.'' he said as he interceded.

"My Lord, Akarin started it," complained Peter, "He was mocing my swordsmanship and training methods."

Sensing that all eyes were on him, he added, "And he hit me with a painting..."

Turning to Mircea, Peter forgot his current predicament.

"Are you alright?" he muttered under his breath. Mircea was staring into the middle distance, and looked pale, even for one of the undead.

''I am fine, it's nothing, I just need to feed soon, that's all'' Mircea dismissed his concerns. It would not do for people to discover he had been seeing things.

Karl muttered and sheathed the blade back into his cane and lifting his chair he sat down again shaking his head.

Akarin meanwhile compained
"Untrue! The peasant lies Count! I said nothing of his sloppy...ah...his swordsmanship and all I said about the training was that Drills where useful and then when he denied it I used my subtle tact to agree with him despite him being obviously wrong!"

Then Akarin brightened
"Oh! And He destroyed your antique Vase and Candlestick on the above floor!" Akarin said

Karl let out a cry
"The tilean Vase! I bought Simon that!" he shouted glaring at the Blood Dragon.

"What? You chopped through the candlestick assasin! I only picked it up to... um... examine it," replied Peter.

"And as for that vase, I believe you were the one who touched it last. Therefore it is your fault that it broke, Akarin."

Hati giggled slightly at Trinities comment. Her face being so close, she spoke softly to her.
"Of course I dont smell like food! What sustenance have you known until now? The weak and thin blood of humans! The taste of undead is as wine to water compared to such as that, here, sample it."
Hati bit down on her tongue with her sharpened teeth until blood flowed from it.
Reaching out she caressed Trinities head and gently brought it closer to her, as Hati licked her lips, coating them in her blood.
The Vampire and Werewolf's lips paused just before they connected, Trinities mouth opening to accept the flow of Hati's vitality in a kiss of life.
Her blood was indeed, nothing like that of humans, the rich properties of it less like sustenance and more like a drug. Trinities head spun as the warm of the sheer vitality of it infused her. The Werewolf's blood was infectious in its spread, there was something deeply primal about it.
The world seemed so much simpler as her throat gently swallowed the first mouthful of Hati's blood. Their perception was made of desires. The desire to mate, the desire to destroy, the desire to feed, the desire to run with nature. Emotions where uncluttered and simple...they where animalistic.
Gone were such human commodities as mercy, regret or modesty. The desire to simply take something you want, to do whatever you want was overpowering. It was as if Trinities head where filling with thoughts that where not her own but so cunning in their deception that she welcomed them anyway, or perhaps where so deeply ingrained in her primal animal that the Werewolf blood simply unleashed them. She desired nothing more at that moment than to run naked through the wilderness, to feel the wind upon her body, to feast on the flesh of her kill, to enjoy in the simply pleasure of unattached sex whenever she desired without the emotional attachments of human decorum, the muddling thoughts of marriage and the condemning rules of religion that forever tainted the ideas of what one could and could not do in the bedroom.
As the primordial desires of life where unleashed in her mind, Trinities body began to react. The blood in her mouth, the arousing aroma of Hati and the kiss they shared began to work their expected magic as her womb prepared that biological lubricant in the imminent expectation of what was to come. Hati could smell the arousal but was unable to tell from which of them it came.

Hati's bleeding tongue gently caressed Trinities, the Vampire enjoying the taste of primal vitality and the Werewolf thrilling in the ecstasy of slight pain. The werewolf's hand slid gently down from Trinities head to her back and began to slowly press their two bodies together, their breathing becoming synchronized as they shared themselves.
Yes, drink deep and become drunk on my vitality, I have more than enough for two...

Hati's tongue began to heal and Trinity began to desperately lap up every drop of it in both their mouths, even going so far as to almost suck upon the wound.
Hati gently forced their mouths apart and smiled enchantingly.
"That is enough for now, you can have more, but I also wish to fulfill my desires." Hati gently kissed Trinities lips, and then let her tongue lightly travel down the woman's neck, tasting her sweat flesh. She let her hand travel Trinities lower on back encouragingly while her other hand gently moving up from the woman's abdomen.
"Now that I have aided you, shall you return the favor? I can guarantee that it shall be an unforgettable experience..."

Müller sneezed in the courtyard.
"Someone must be thinking about you." said Völundr amused.
"Nha, one of Simon's bitch-Dire Wolves must be in heat." said Müller gesturing at the Castle. "I keep catching whiffs of the stuff when the wind blows from there."

Jason Spoke to Völundr
" The reason why, there are so many of my gets is mainly because of harrindir he has sired about five and keeps them as masters of the house hold. The rest are their gets, which are also assigned there own role in the household, networking and information gathering to assist me in various research and the acquisition of certain items. But that is true A vampire becomes significantly weaker when they sire while at the same time if feeding is kept up they can regain and perhaps even increase there physical strength and magical ability. Especially when they feed on other vampires." he paused and gave the werewolves a smerk.
_____________________________

Harrindir looked high into the nights sky as he played the notes dancing on the wind and growing as the battle below entered the keep itself. he paused and decided to involve himself in council dealings than sit back and play music like some lazy fool.

He got up and placed the instrument on his back and walked back inside, he approched main hall in quick succession only to over hear Simon divulge the where about's of the Ruby. His eyes sharpened and he hurried outside towards his gets. Most were still practicing, others sitting back contemplation about their knew master 'Jason'. That was until they saw their master and hurried to meet him " To Nuln, the lord Von Carstien requires an item a ruby gem from the countess herself. I want you all to infiltrate the court and insure the council will attend the next function of the countess, it is of the utmost importance. Those who succeed will be rewarded by Jason for their skills and talent in this mission." with that the gets were already on the move heading towards the coaches and moving away from Nexeternus.

Vekarin laughed hollowly at the Lizardman's sincerity.
"Meditate thus risk I retribution of Mage-Priests from Lustria!? Venerate I them power, them there when sculpted planet, None other larger stronger. Shake I meditate on aftermath possibly chose direct view to wards warmblood-realm."
The armored figure turned to the remainder of the assembled vampires.
"Er wird nicht schaden sie uns ." he declared, "Laßt ihn frei. "

Huakroataxa watched as the female deliberated internally, before melting his bars. He sheltered his eyes, and watched as the metal cooled.

Vekarin stepped forward, his gauntlets clearing the molten slag from of the cage from the Lizardman’s path. The heat was tremendous, but the runes on Vekarin’s armor flared and repelled it. He stood back.
“Ich glaube, meine Kopf aushalten können den Stress, Herrin.” He commented.
“You're untrapped, Saurus, however Tlanxa-Code compelled hunt Nagash’s legions yet completion battle.”

The lizardman stepped presently out of his Cage, and brought out his Cold one and serpant also. Immediately, Xalot snapped out, but was restrained by her master, with a little difficulty.
After snarling the larger reptile down, he turned and placed a blue hand over his heart.
"I vow not to slay any of your council until Nagash lies dead, as is proper. I would, however appreciate being reaquainted with my weaponry, and Xalot's saddling. It will make it easier to restrain her...urges."

"I have no knowledge of the whereabouts of the Saurus' weapons. I assume they reside in the care of the one who imprisoned him in the first place." Vekarin told Lesa, turning back to the Saurus.
"Do you have the identity of they who imprisoned you? I believe that they may posses your artifacts."

"The council is a coalition brought together simply by their shared wish to topple the dread lord Nagash." Victarias told the Brettonians, "And even that is questionable, as each lord has their own reasons for their hatred of the Black. I doubt very much that there are any lords within the Council outside of Lesa and those of the Blood Dragon bloodline that sincerely strive toward his downfall, and I am not convinced of the all of the Blood Dragons either."
"You have done well Aubervillier," the Duke said, a note of pride in his voice, "now go, feed, relax. I have no doubt we will move as soon as we know where the ruby is." His son bowed low, before walking away back to the Duke's encampment.
"I suppose we had see what progress they have made, and no doubt you will be wanting to see your husband." The Duke turned from Victarias, stepping toward the great keep of Nexeternus.
"Duke..." She said after him, he turned, their eyes meeting. Victarias couldn't stifle a smile that broke onto her face.
"I just realized that I don't even know your name." She told him.

Todd strode into Simon's throne room with Mrs. Lovette and Toby in tow, wearing a fading leer. A look of surprise flitted across his face as he bumped into a curious Geralt who had followed Peter and Akarin's duel into the very same place.

As Geralt rejoined his employer, Todd gestured to Toby, who stepped forward and presented Simon von Carstein a scroll case. inside which contained the parchment that bore the transcript of the interrogation.

"My good Count, on that paper before you is everything I extracted out of the prisoner. I have marked out what would be of interest amidst his answers, to spare you the trouble of sifting through many trivial details." He turned aside to Mrs. Lovette and whispered something to her.

Below the throne room, in the depths of the vault which contained the imprisoned Saurus a minion bat flew into view of all present. Almost immediately Mrs. Lovette opened a portal from the throne room and stuck her head through, before nudging Todd.

"And now I must take my leave. Other matters demand my attention for the moment." And with that he and his retinue trooped through the portal. Before he stepped through though, Geralt took the chance to look at Peter and Akarin and chuckle. He had heard Mircea and Karl questioning the duo, and their pointing fingers at each other. Sometime it could be quite entertaining when centuries old vampires behaved as though they were ten.

"The truth's in the middle, Baron. Perhaps your 'friendly' bout became a bit too unfriendly." Geralt quipped before following his employer.

**********

Appearing amidst the gathering of Lesa, Vekarin and Walach, he stared with surprise at the now unfettered Lizardman. Todd launched into an explanation of how Zaak the Uncanny had left him a letter upon his departure explaining about his capture of the Saurus during the battle against the Scribe.

"Perhaps I should ask why the Lizardman walks free with three of you looking on?" He finished.

"The good Baron's concern is touching, but I don't think we have to worry about the wolf-kin too much. Their mannerisms are a little odd and they smell funny yes.. but in my own eyes they have proven themselves to be less trouble than many others amongst the council." Saul grinned at Marc, the Blood Dragon was genuinely concerned about the Wolves.. so he kept his tone light with only a small hint of sarcasm.

"Besides, what's the worst that could happen?"

The two rounded a corner that led to the corridor that Marc indicated.. and Sauls' jaw hit the stone floor. No way! He rubbed his eyes and glanced at Marc to see if he could the same thing that Saul was seeing, a predatory grin senting across his face..

Trinity and Hati.. in what could only be described as a 'thought-provoking' embrace.

"Perhaps the answer would be because we set him free." Vekarin told the newly-appeared Sweeney, "There was no reason to imprison a fighter who can aid us in our war against Nagash. You say you know of the circumstances of his capture, do you also know of the location of his weapons and artifacts?"
Vekarin's questions were interrupted as another figure descended into the dungeon. The light footsteps belonged to none other than Requarah, who entered, a moment of fear crossing her features before her face broke into a smile as here eyes alighted on Lesa.
"I knew I'd find you here, mum. I hope you're not having too much fun with your caged Lizardperson. I'm glad to see you awake once again, after the battle I had feared..."
Requarah broke off and spoke to the entirety of the assembled lords.
"I don't know if you've been told, but Lord Todd here has uncovered the location of Lord Carstein's precious bauble. It's in Nuln, and we'll be heading there presently, as I understand. I'm so excited, I do so love Nuln."

"Whats the Worst that can Happen?" Saul asked with faint touches of sarcasm.
Marc snorted
"They are animals Mi'Lord, I don't trust these animals anymore than I would trust an uncontrolled Vargulf or Doom Wolf...no they should be watched carefully...this is the Vampire Council...those beasts don't dese...I'm sorry I forget myself...this is not my concern nor my place to say." he finished muttering.
Marc gestured to the corridor he believed he remembered Trinity being down and the two turned...and where greeting with an unexpected sight.

Where Saul found such a thing...well interesting to say the least...Marc was unimpressed, indeed he was even abit disgusted, these wolfmen where Animals.
If this had been his get he would have crushed her will in moments and perhaps slashed this creature's throat as well.
Perhaps it was better for the Council that this incident was for Saul to take command of and do as he wish...Marc perhaps lacked the diplomatic touch when it came to Muller's people.
Marc's lips twisted into something between a sneer and a snarl as his hands hung loosely at his sides, ready to withdraw both his blades if such was necessary.

Saul saw Marc tense up next to him, his hands twitched towards his swords; a look of contempt on his face.. perhaps it would be best if he was removed from the vicinity. He turned his head towards Marc, his features devoid of any emotion.

"Thank you for your company Blood Dragon, but you should return to the Baron.. he will no doubt have need of you, and I will deal with my 'Get' and her 'friend' myself. I'd prefer it if this.." He gestured to the scene in the middle of the corridor.. "remained between us." It was an open request but Saul's tone made it pretty clear that there was no negotiation.

Marc turned his stoney expression onto Saul, he stared at the other vampire for a moment before speaking
"Usually I would decline such a request, the Baron is not only my Master but your Lord in terms of the von Carstein line." he said calmly.
Then he nodded slightly
"However your get is your concern and no others." he said allowing himself a faint smile.
Leaning forwards slightly he spoke quietly
"I am serious though...be most careful...I can smell the beasts blood...which means perhaps your get fed on her...blood is powerful, perhaps your new thrall shall be negatively effected."
Turning Marc began to stide away then casting a dark look towards Trinity and Hati he muttering something under his breath before leaving.
________________
Baron sat down still glaring darkly at the Blood Dragon Peter and Akarin when Marc strode in
"Any problems Marc?" he asked.
The Blood Dragon shook his head
"No Mi'Lord." he said but Karl could sense a note of discontent on his servants voice.
Obviously however Marc didn't wish to speak of it so the Baron merely nodded.
