On those who are very susceptible to it, such as humans and elves etc, it would work very strongly.
On others such as you say Lizzies, they would be more distracted than seduced as this unknown feeling is in effect forced on them.
Those resistant to magic would feel its effects less, so a Bloodthirster would be be distracted only for a second.
