Yeah, no kidding.
People may be losing interest a little bit and may not want to continue in the planned sequel (which I personally am very excited about), but I had hoped we would at least get to the end of this one... :(

Hm, last post was on the 29th by Simon.

You know what? Today is the 21st. I'll give the rest of the forums until after Halloween to see if anybody posts to advance the story.

If not, I'll go in and write a conclusion to the roleplay myself, just to have closure if nothing else. It's better than leaving it hanging.

I don't think the sequel will have no interest. Many are waiting to get stuck in and it'd be good motivation for those involved in this one already.

As for advancing the story, there's little many of us can do... we don't know what DoN has planned with y'all and can't really say "and Nagash unleashed his cavalry" if he isn't actually going to unleash any cavalry.

It's the ever-sensitive issue of god-modding... o_o

I feel this flurry of OOC posts will serve as a good poking stick, however. People in the know will see this and hopefully advance the story as instructed in that secret batch of PMs sent out ages ago concerning the final battle...

Well it's time to start checking daily again xd

I'm really sorry, like I said in the True Blood section, I have not been on in a while due to RL issues, however I am back and ready to go!

I'm just checking and doing to maintenance this evening, I plan to write an update post tomorrow. So if you can all re-read over the last few posts and get ready to write again.

Hokie cokie, posted! Certainly felt like it has been a while, my creative juices needed some encouragement to get flowing :perv:

I will be making other posts to update other parts of the battlefield as well, however don't let that stop the rest of you from posting. However remember that the fight with Nagash is scripted, so I will be PM'ing as one section is completed and we can move to the next.

Now, one thing I do want to check - who is still interested in the sequel? I think it will work, being fresh and new, but I want to check if there is still interest.

From my side I am, I already have thought out long reaching plots that will no doubt take years of posting to come to fruition! xd I would encourage all those who do want to be in the sequel to think up long term plots as well.

Id like to participate, just wanna know what kind of limits are on new characters, as I am writing a series of fluff for my character and need to know where the TVC stuff will fit in with my characters rise to power and etc.... would prefer something as huge and world shaking as TVC to be set after all the fluff I write.

I DEMAND POSTING!!! *cough*

The sequel will grow to be as big as this TVC, possibly even moreso as it will visit more places in the world than the current one did, as we only really focused around the Empire, Badlands and Nehekhara.

Plus it will drag in more non-undead races. Indeed the Empire will heavily feature, as we as HE and Lizzies. Finally the main protagonists this time round will be Chaos...with a twist :devil2:

So, there will be plenty to explore and grow your characters. What I would recommend is that you look at your character, and how you would like him to grow over a world changing war. Start him / her small (giving them room to grow), give them a motive, something that drives them.

A good example is Simon in this TVC. He started as a relatively powerful character, with his small kingdom. However Simon wanted him to grow, to lead the Carsteins and also secretly work to bring back Vlad. This actually had nothing to do with the main plotline, but by both me and Simon discussing it, we worked it into the story to satisfy both him and the main plotline.

So in a way, part of the TVC has been a story about his character's life, as much as it has been about the war against Nagash.

This is the kind of thing I really want players to do in the sequel. I already have thoughts for my characters, which will probably take years of posting to fully tell. But like when the treachery of V'azrin finally came to light after a couple of years in the making, it was well worth it.

Something for you all to think on.

Sounds good, my vampire character needs a goal/aim for once hes established his own lands/power etc, which the TVC stuff could explore. I do have a goal of sorts in mind. (Depending on whether I am allowed a vampire character)
