We'll the sculpt is HUGE, insanly detailed. But the price is still crazy look at the picture with the skeleton as comparison, holy hell he is enormous.!

Yes there is a triple kit wit mounted mannfred, arkhan the black and neferata three of the mortarchs.

The nagash kit is shipping the 30/8-14. The mannfred kit should get announced the same time one week of preorder, shipping about the 6th..

Compared to most Battalian's which are 500-750 maybe 900 at a push pts, that's a bargain! =P It IS Nagash after all.

Guys, it really /is/ the End Times: I just purchased the Lore of Nehekhara spell cards. That's one of the signs of Ragnarok or something, right?

I'm seriously considering getting 2 battalions of Tomb Kings...Archer spam and chariots? Hmmmm... Necropolis Knights/Sepulchre Stalkers also look awesome and oh hell why not a Necrosphinx for lolz.

Well at least manny is getting new better rules hopefully the new krell and vlad rules will make them more popular than the current VC army book versions.

and although im all for pickup games and fluff games i play mostly at tournaments and thus i hope that there is somewhere in the book they mention that the Undead legion list is totally legal as an army book and should be used as such.

Using Nagash in a tournament will be so sweet....

@Adam_Barrow @Banat I've spent my day reading their tacticas, on their forum..
Spent friday evening reading through 1d4chan TK tactics. Warsphinx/Necrosphinx and Sepulchre Stalkers came out of it most favourably. Archer spam and Screaming Skull catapults, whilst my VC handle CC.

Would possibly replace skeletal steeds with cold ones, and take Kroxigor as Ushabti. FLuffwise Rasetra was on the edge of the jungle and was famous for its lizard auxillaries and even included "thunderlizards" which I can only imagine could be Carnosaurs.

I bought the TK book when it first dropped, but never bought a model for the army. I had such high hopes for them when I heard they were being released.

@Bullhax You have rats?! Dude, I wanna see those bad.

I do non painted atm, got 150+ models waiting. My painting is going horribly slow, and I want to get my ogres done before i move on, although I don't know if I can contain myself.. Will ofcourse post pictures of the rats once they're painted.!

Wow that is some very cool artwork. What's the source?

It's in the WD that just came out.

As an aside. Nagash is 105 USD, which is the same price as an eldar wraithknight for 40k. he is approx the same size, thus they are staying consistent with kit size.

Wow I've looked through that two times already still couldn't place it.. Yay for me.!

Some leaked pages of the campaign book in italian (i think) are out. Of note - krell is a lord choice. Kemmler is nowhere to be seen (booh, hiss). The monstrous mount is non optional (for arkan at least, presumably for the others as well), so do not expect bits to put the mortarchs that you dont mount on foot. Also, you will not be able to run your current mounted or on foot manny, nor any on foor or flying chariot arkhan conversions you kight have, in a legions list.

arkhan (and, again, presumably the others) has a single combined monstrous statline, not a separate statline for himself and his steed. Preview of 9e design for monstrous mounts? And weighs in at about 650 points. More at natfka, including link to leaked images:

Interesting to note the combined statlines. equal boo hissing about kemmler, and otherwise interesting notes. I am going to pick up a mortarch kit, but mostly because i want to paint the steed.

Emicrania,

You seemed so tortured by on hand being responsible with money (good thing) and holding GW to a certain ideal (noble of you) and then on the other loving Warhammer and wanting to enjoy the cool stuff they put out like Nagash and the upcoming Morartchs. I have a suggestion that might work.

First, buy only the models from GW that you can't easily use another company's or really got to have. I am sure you are already doing this, but I guess mentally get yourself in the mindset that you are buying zombies and skeletons from mantic (or whom ever) and only occasionally buying nagash , terrorgiest etc. So, since the models are cheaper from the other company you are saving enough that the occasional expensive model isn't hitting you as hard.

Second, if you and your friends play at a FLGS, approach the owner as a group, and offer to buy your stuff from him if he can give you guys a bulk discount that at least meets the other online discounts (20% I think right?). And then apply that discount to GW.

So, you'd be getting new mantic and other companies at same price as online. You get a similar deal on GW. Your local game store gets taken care of with the profit margin you've left them. Which means you can feel good for doing your part keeping your club house in business. And as a whole your saving extra on the GW.

Then you can enjoy the occasional GW cool thing with the rest of us, looking at your warhammer expenses as a whole. Take it another step, and track your time spent playing and painting vs money spent and try to get your cost per hour low. That makes it even easier to enjoy when you compare warhammer's cost/time ratio to other hobbies. It's actually low if you play on a regular basis.

Good luck man, hope that was helpful. Your a good player from the sounds of that last battle you played and I hope we can help you have fun with Nagash and the new toys instead of it causing you so much stress.

Oh, and you can always convert your own. There is that. Though the model is so baaaaad assssssss that it deserves its own retro action show grind house style.
