That Nagash is amazing. Who did it? By the way, you should call this thread the "Vampire Counts Un-inspiration thread, because most of these just make me want to give up the hobby!

Another thing I'd like to know, why is it do you think that the "realistically painted" models seem to be "in fashion" at the moment?

Models in the current sylvaneth line, here there are some really cool conversions done by Melcavuk over on the Order Alliance Community.

"in the beginning there was accord between the gods in Sigmar realm and that accord was thus "All that is living must one day die, and yet without life there can be no Death" and by this accord Alarielle and Nagash were thus bound. All things, even her Sylvaneth must abide by the cycle of Life and Death, to this date there are still some of her fallen Ancients in the service to the god of Death."

Melcavuk's Forest of Death.

Just some examples (in the linked thread you'll find the various WIP):

@Unas the slayer Sylvaneth are indeed a great fodder for undead(ish) miniatures and conversions, a great find! Reminds me a lot of those from the Gardens of Hecate blog (a great collection there too, check it out!).

I also moved your thread here, because it didn't fit Dead Shall Walk - and it reminded me of this Inspiration thread - a good occasion to bring it back to the top of the section ;)

I want to share two crazy things I happened to stumble upon, a Khemric Titan and a Necrolitch Colossus:

I don't know if I've seen a project crazier than that colossus. Both of them are made by a guy named Kahless from Austria - HERE you can see the thread and some more pics of that insanity he made...

Hi!

Yes, these two are mine.

My English isn't very good, so I dont write much in non-german-language-forums.

You can finde more of my miniatures in the gallery on warhammer-board.de.
( I wanted to post the link to my gallery inthe german forum, but the forum here says i am not allowed to post links. So you have to search for it on warhammer-board.de > Galerie > Kahless)

If you have any questions, just write them here.
I try to answer (in English).

Yours, Kahless

And here I am sharing a Mortarch conversion that left me with my jaw on the floor - Mortarch of Night by C'tan - there are so many versions of this models, but this one speaks to me more than any other. Those green skulls that look like they are glowing / are made out of green gemstone contrast beautifully with that dry bone and rusting armor. It certainly inspires me to maybe actually buy the model and try it out ;)

Yet another cool idea I found lately:

A flying vampiress converted out of new St. Celestine model. Not much converting needed and she still looks fitting, even if taken from the grim dark future of the 40K universe. Credits to RM Miniature Studios.

People are getting creative with the new nighthaunts. A simple, but very effective idea how to use some additional highlights to make your spooky ghosts stand out!

I found it on Pinterest, with no info on who to give credit for it, so if you know the author, please let me know!

Once again, something I have found on Pinterest with no links or description...

But still, check out this red and blue Nighthaunt scheme on Reikenor here! I find it quite original and striking - it would be interesting to see the horse painted not just red, but with muscles showing ;)

Wow! That is just insane. Inspirational and a depressing overachievement at the same time.
