VAU: The tale of Quitzal; Sign up/Interest

Have opened an IC thread and begun sending out PM's regarding statuses. Sign up is still possible until the 5th of September. So please get your character bios in and get Role Playing!
Also this VAU will need to finish by 24th of October as I am going away so that is about 7 weeks or 7 votes. There will be additional murders during the night though.

Also I have decided I am not going to tell you which of the special abilities were used just to keep everyone guessing.

Quick question.

Can we reveal our trusted companions to the other members of the group? Recognize them on sight, talk about previous adventures together etc?

After considering this. Ask your companion . If they are happy about being open that you guys are friends then go for it if you want. If you want to keep it a secret that is cool too. With only seven people at the moment it shouldn't be too hard to work out anyway.

Another question, are we allowed to have private conversations with people other than our companion via PM, if we state that "Character X draws Y to the side and whispers in their ear" IC for example?

You may have a conversation with other people However you cannot reveal things that you know to them. Particularly you can't be like my companion is a vampire so vote for them. Maybe PM me first and I will check what you want to say.

Also I have given everyone 10 Hit Points. This will allow some bad stuff to happen to you without you dying immediately, particularly as there are not very many of you. If you are voted off you will die. Other actions though will merely lose several hit points. For instance if the apothecary tries to poison you. You would lose a hit point. If you reach 0 then you will die. Does that seem reasonable?

seems reasonable, but I would have either less hitpoints or more damage, 10 times being poisoned before you die seems a bit easy >_<

How would the challenge for the Knight work then ? I understood originally that only one person can walk away alive from such a duel, after all they are not going to stop hacking at each other if one of them is still alive.

Perhaps after slashing and stabbing them several times you decide that they can't be a vampire and let them crawl away. Otherwise it will only last about two weeks that's all.
Mello some of the results would be losing multiple hit points depending on a dice roll i thought. So 2 bad things could kill you.

That's sucks Sweeny. But this round shouldn't go for too long, it was only designed to be fairly short. Maybe in the next VAU then.

I've just got back from a week or so in Cornwall, so sorry about my abscence. I just need to catch up tonight/tomorrow, then I'll start posting in the VAU.

Woo more people joining in in the party!!!!! As for now it is first blood to the scenery, having overall dealt 4 hit points damage and caused a mysterious limp to our dear Mihael which none of us knows (apart from him and bounce ) how he got and what implications it might have.

Bounce - is there any healing anywhere in the VAU? Not asking for specifics, just whether somehow I can heal myself. I feel like an idiot for exploring that fire

Some places may heal you if I roll well while exploring plus I think one of the special abilities can heal. However not particularly much. There are meant to be a lot of deaths after all.
