Voting Thread. Turning the World to Darkness: Single Model

Time to vote on the challenge that has been running for the past two months.

Our schedule:

Schedule:
Week 1, Monday: Announcement and entry thread created
Week 7, Friday: Entry thread closed. Voting thread opened.
Week 8, Friday: Voting thread closed. Result announced. Winner asked about next theme.

All models entered should not have been painted more than a year ago from the date the entry thread is closed. This will not be enforced but violators will politely be asked to retract their entry.

Only one entry per person.
Maximum of 3 images per entry (including pictures in collages), of reasonable size.
No voting for your own entry.
No model can be entered into several competitions.
Open entries and open voting. Everyone can see who painted what.
Models can be of any manufacture and conversion, but must fulfil all the criteria of the given theme.

Price: The winner earns the glory and a place in the Hall of Infamy thread. The winner also gets to selected the theme of the next painting challenge (note that the winner only has a weekend to present the decision, so please be prepared and available). If no decision is made within a week of the winner announcement, the decision falls to me.

I'm always drawn to the strange and the imaginative and the original, but in this case I had to chose the "boring" Zombie Dragon because it is so beautifully done.

Very impressive entries, are hard choice again.

I've gone for @robtion 's entry for it's originality. The vampire chick looks spot on; seductive yet evil. The skin tones and hair are a nice combination, and the bloodied feet contrast it well. She looks quite like a shaman or witch. Then there's the abyssal terror, the first time I've seen a character riding a tree (besides Merry & Pippin), this is just something else! Inspiring me with ideas for Crypt Horrors in the future...

Well yeah, if @jediguru hadn't nailed it, I'd have gone for @robtion. Or if we had two votes... That model is really disturbing me still!

@Farmer7574 Thanks for the comment. Originality is something I always try for. Glad the feral, wild look came across. As usual I had some fluff/background floating around in my head when I painted this, I might jot it down and post it in my plog.

I have left it to jediguru to pick the next topic if he would like to. Anyone want to float some ideas? Would be cool if we could get as many entries as possible.

I vote no Nagash though. @Borgnine has that one in the bag already

I was thinking this whole week about whether I should vote for @jediguru or @robtion and I missed it in the end... But that is even better, as they won both - with my vote for either of them that wouldn't be the case Big congrats to everyone that participated

As for the ideas about the next one - I have a corpse cart on the table, so a chariot theme would be the best for me but that's rare to build and it's not such a creative idea

@Borgnine Sounds perfect to me. I love corpse carts and actually have had an idea for a conversion for a long while now.

If we don't hear from @jediguru with a different idea then perhaps the next challenge could be corpse cart or even chariot (Coven throne, mortis engine, corpse cart)?

I just recently had an idea for a challenge that I thought could be interesting. And while we are spit-balling I thought I could add it.

In light of these tragic news, how about we make a challenge with a Tomb King theme? Give them a proper send of so to speak. Not sure how many would be interested in it though, but its an idea.

Chariot could actually suit me quite well however, as I could use an extra spur to build my Dark Coach.

As far as the next challenge goes, I'm fairly open to suggestion. I also cannot remember what all has already been done. Seems like almost everything, right?

Congrats to the winners, such an amazing job and such excellent character in your work. Well done.

If we go down the chariot path, I'd suggest we increase it to War Machines also (which only really includes the screaming skull). But I'm happy with whatever is chosen, even if I do have an idea for a chariot conversion in mind.

@Leithel Yep we have decided on chariots and jediguru has given the ok. Just waiting for Mad 'At to officially announce it and open the new challenge thread

I'm not sure what the screaming skull is personally but if it's on a chariot base and is in the VC army then it should be fine, just double check with Mad'At.
