What are your favourite GW Miniatures?

Simple question just to see what models everyone likes that GW produces.
I for one, like Konrad, The original Haldir's Elves (not so sure about the new ones), Captain Sicarius and lots of others. Is it me though, or are the best miniatures metal? what are the better plastic ones?

Oh this is a hard one. I can't really say any single one to be my favourite since none has struck me as perfect yet. I quite like the current plastic chaos warriors and knights though.

Varghulf! My overall favorite, but nothing else really rings right to my mind. There's always something to nitpick, but that model to me has it all.

I have to say that the Wood Elf to the right of that is really good looking - never saw that one.

I like Tyrion myself. He's on a bit too skinny horse though, so far from perfect.

In plastics, Silver Helms. They stole my heart from the beginning.

love the lotr diaramas, I like the majority of the lotr stuff that's actually in the films and books but the black numenoreand (as an example) don't have much description and I think they look like fantasy miniatures tbh.
Also love the shokk attack gun just 'cus of how wacky it looks.
I'd love to try 3 balrogs in lotr war of the ring in 2k pts, that would be fun.
Yes I know elves are good with fight 6, now i'm going to put this here balrog on the table, and his 2 buddies.

Plastics will never have quite the same style as metal models simply because plastics are designed to be more flexible/customisable. This doesn't mean there aren't some great plastics about, just that they won't ever achieve the level of quality the best metals do.

This guy here is my favourite. This is simply because I love the warrior priests and this definitely is the best of the lot.

Also the new Steamtank is awesome. My local store just got it in today and I got to pick it up and look at the inside as they were assembling it. And I don't care if I declared I would boycott GW's new products because that one'll be mine (eventually).

God there really is so many I like, I love the new VC stuff and I'm not affraid to admit that, that includes Mannfred, I agree with DS as i do like the warrior priests that one inparticular as well as new plastic Empire Greatswords. cant forget Chaos Knights
except for goblins i cant think of anything i dont like from the LotR range and if i had to pick from 40k Chaos space marines are my fav

Plastics are becoming better; I love the Cold One Knights and the Chaos Knights oh and I'm happy with my new plastiuc Chaos Termies. My favorite metals were almost all mentioned already; Konrad, Mannfred (hated it first but's starting to grow on me), Wood Elf Noble with GW, the new DE sorceress (finally able to retire the old standing Morathi one) and Archaon (yay for Napoleon stance). For 40 K I haven't really had any awesome metals; they're cool but just not great.

Bretonian Grail reliquary is a very nice piece of work (I am trying to think what to pass it off as in my mousillion themed VC army).

I absolutely agree about the ogres too having assembled about 3k of OKs for my daughter we have only 3 metals everything else is converted. Not a great army to play but a modellers treat.

Bretonian Grail reliquary is a very nice piece of work (I am trying to think what to pass it off as in my mousillion themed VC army).

Yup thats very nice Dark, I have just bought two bat boxes though so I have a super abundance of corpse carts at the mo! I wonder about Black coach tho' these are said to be a way of getting the undead to and from battle....

I'd have to say, either Green Knight, most Woodelf nobles, the chaos 'Warrior' class' (knights, heros etc).

They are all superb models.

If your talking about models produced for GW, the Avatars of War dwarf Thunderlord has so much personality. That is an 'epic' model.
