Indeed it is. One zombie coming your way. :)

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Godammit, why didn't I see this thread earlier? I could have had a zombie :'( I don't have nearly enough.

Sir Patrick Stewart is one of my favourite actors, though nothing will beat his role as Jean Luc Picard.....

Great work Wolfie, very lifelike and easily recognisable.

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Thanks mate, but he's far from finished. Still have to tweak it a bit and then start adding detail like wrinkles and hair (or lack thereof).

Anyway, an update on the painter: He turned into a postman because it fits more into the universe created by my teachers. Anatomy was improved and colour was added. It's also a bit bolder in hat design. Inspired by John Galliano but that'll be visible in the rendering of his entire body and clothes.

Really pleased with this and I'm finally improving. C&C would be very much appreciated and is encouraged. :)

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Badge has been fixed. Thanks for the comments so far. :)

Some free work in between school assignments. Started a series of (what will be) 3 monochromatic paintings.
First up is an Ice Wizard. Only been sketching for about an hour so far and no colour yet, but any comments would be very much appreciated.

The other 2 will be a Fire Mage (male or female. Not sure yet) and either a tough rock like bruiser or some form of dryad.

Comments and Criticism are appreciated as always. :D

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

I'll see what I can do. It's very rare that I have the opportunity to do some free work due to a school taking up most of my time, but I can probably come up with 1 or 2 once in a while. Anything specific you want drawn?

Cheers, Wolfie

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Team logo I designed for our Imagine Cup team. Pretty basic, but it's my forst time designing something graphic like a logo. Managed to get something simple but (at least in my mind) elegant so I'm quite happy. Should stand out quite nicely amongst the overdesigned logos the other 500 teams have. :)

C&C would be appreciated although I can't change it anymore. :)

Perhaps a more natural looking green. That bright green isnt very easy on the eyes, and is kinda loud.
Fantastic looking nonetheless.

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

You could also possibly have picked a more "T" like tree? Might look cool with one of those African Acacia trees, not very green I guess though, just a thought!

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Finished Picard. Renders are a bit messed up, but nothing to be done about that. :(

Quick ref paint of an apple. Would've spent more than half an hour on it, but I ate the apple. :(

If this works, this should show a low quality video of the prototype of our game for the Imagine Cup. What we have so far has been made from scratch in 4 weeks and is nowhere near finished. It's merely a teaser of what the look and feel will be.

More school work. The beginnings of a Matte Painting of Paris in the Sky and I thought it'd be fun to do a step-by-step of the work process.
As Paris is now floating in the sky, I started painting some stormclouds for the backdrop.
First stage is choosing a background colour. Also added in some colour for variation.
ai31.photobucket.com_albums_c364_WolfFang007_Art_Mattewolken1.webp

Since it's very cloudy the next stage was painting some high floating feathery clouds.
ai31.photobucket.com_albums_c364_WolfFang007_Art_Mattewolken2.webp

Time for some thunderclouds. All in individual layers to be animated in Fusion 6.
ai31.photobucket.com_albums_c364_WolfFang007_Art_Mattewolken3.webp

A bit too bright for my liking ATM, so time for some colour correction.
ai31.photobucket.com_albums_c364_WolfFang007_Art_Mattewolken4.webp

I kinda like the idea of the sun hiding behind the clouds. This is something that I will solve in Fusion when the time comes, but I wanted to see if it would work now.
ai31.photobucket.com_albums_c364_WolfFang007_Art_Mattewolken5.webp

Looks good, for a quick addition, but I realized this meant all the highlights on the clouds were wrong, so it has to go.
Atm this means that I have this as a temprary matte to further improve.

As always, C&C are appreciated.

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

Hey guys,

This is a movie of the round 2 entry my team and I made for the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
I've posted an earlier version of this before, but we've made a lot of progress and changes since then.
Anyway, enjoy. :D

Movie

A note about all of your stuff but in paticular the game and Sir Patrick Stewart:

You Sicken Me

RE: Wolfie's school assignments (Photoshop)

I like the clouds, nice work. When I try to paint clouds I end up with a very convincing looking ball of screwed up paper.

The video's quite cool too, is it an actual game that you could play or just a video of a possible game?
