1) Vampires; Great background and great army. Always liked vampires, so collecting an army is only fitting 
2) Dark Elves; The only truly evil race in the FB world. Great background and great models.
3) Empire; The common man, fighting against the armies of monsters etc. Also the theme of the whole faction, ie. historic Germany as the basis
4) Skaven; Hordes of rats and their weapons which are more or less dangerous to the wielder as well.
5) High Elves; Magic and dragons, 'nuff said
