The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Correct. Unit 1 will have the option to do a combat reform. Should they decide for whatever reason they don't want to, you are indeed stuck fighting the way it is. And just for info you can not come into contact with unit 2 on your charge. They do not move over either.
Just be careful of what hits you though. I thought a large number of zombies would take awhile to go though till I played a friends VC army and I was playing Ogres. He had a unit of around 50ish zombies and I hit it my unit of 4 MF's. I figured I would be tied up a couple turns but what the hell...
If you are within the generals IP then you use his LD. Nothing in the Thrones rules say it doesn't benefit from IP. All friendly units within the Generals range use his LD.
If I'm running my BK bus I put the NS om a WK and put him in the middle of a lance formation and my blender Lord on one side and a hero vamp on the other. Both vamps usually have either a 1+ or a 2+ AS and a ward save. Really limits the high S attacks from the front rank and only the limited...
And there are no rules that say fliers can't fly over either and treat it like any other impassable terrain. So all we are left with is peoples opinions. And another of GW's wonderful world of rule snafu's.....
Sorry to disagree but there is nothing in the rules saying anything about vortexes going to the high heavens/stratosphere. Sounds more like an opinion. Not anything based on any rules.
I don't think this is correct. Can you point to any rules/FAQ's that would support this? You are a flier. You fly over other units, all types of terrains, fanatics and such. So why can't you fly over a vortex?
And any unit forced to move thru a votex pops out the other side and stops 1" away...
Blender Lord, WK with nightshroud, hero vamp in lance formation. 10-12 BK's depending on points. Your R&F are protected till you lose a character and your champ.
Well, for one that has played in GT's both small and large from Connecticut to North Carolina over the last year or 2, it has been played the way MC and Skittle and others have stated. EVERYWHERE. But can't say for the west coast or over seas. But I do see a pattern.....just...
Run your bus in a lance formation and use characters that are hard to kill. You really don't rely on ranks and it limits CR as they can't attack R&F. I put the Nightshroud on a WK in the middle and my Lord on one side and a hero vamp on the other so it really limits the S on the first row in...
That's what I thought. The challengers continue fighting, so there is no challenge ending and being automatically re-issued.
Here is where you are wrong. It IS RAW that impact hits are not allowed. In the challenge neither combatant can not be attacked by other models that round. Impact hits...
Would you care to point out in the rules where is says a challenge ends after each combat phase and automatically re-issued? I don't see it anywhere and on Pg 103 under round 2 it states that the combat continues in the next round.
You would not get the impact hits against a lone character in a challenge. Unbreakable aside, you could get CR from the charge/flank/ranks against a lone character in the challenge though.
Pg. 100 Make Way. If there are more one or more stranded characters on both sides, the players roll off and the winner decides which character makes his way first. Players then alternate choosing characters to do their make way. Also they must have a footprint compatible with the units R&F.
Incorrect. Pg. 103 under characters and mounts it states "If riding a mount, that mount must direct it's attacks against either the other competitor or that competitors mount (if riding one). Nothing in there says anything about just melee attacks.
