RE: Borgnine's Log: Finished Krell + VargoyleWIP
Good spot, Mad 'At, I didn't even notice it at first, but that Vargoyle has clearly been eating a bunch of 'roided-up dwarven bodybuilders. Yeesh!
Great army shots! And see, I'm not the only one who still paints my bases goblin green. (Or is that my color-almost-blindness kicking in again?)
How'd you do the tall grasses/ cat-o-nine-tails? Looks almost like brush/broom bristles.
Thanks for the tutorial! Gonna have to try this... I never thought I'd be able to have a playing surface that didn't take up a whole closet when stored. Truly an inspiration!
Yeah, I haven't found too many resources for skeletons other than human ones. If you're willing to fudge the concept towards more "zombie-like," meaty bones, you might use the Forge World "Hounds of Xaphan"...
Wow, that Mortis Engine is phenomenal. Love the green ethereal effects.
Your basing is top notch! Very atmospheric, love the skellies crawling from the ground. I can't imagine how much money you must spend on static grass... your floor probably looks like a barn interior after a game, lol.

RE: Borgnine's Log: Finished Krell + VargoyleWIP
Gorgeous looking Krell. Love the detail on the cloak and the marble axe. Great conversion on the vargoyle too! Looks just like the rulebook pic.
Your army is an inspiration. I'm stealing ideas for the "Krell's Children" painting challenge, which I'm assuming you got off the ground. I want to see this thing finished! Great work.
That is one of the most colorful and yet totally undead looking paint jobs I have ever seen. It's tough to balance the two. Read your whole thread just now, everything looks amazing. That corpse cart with the necromancer holding the floating skull is a real standout. Great job!
I'll say it again for emphasis...
MAN, YOU HAVE A GREAT ARMY!
Love the heroquest skellies carrying scythes. So characterful!
All your lords and characters are really diverse, but they all still fit together pretty well. Is that a 5th ed. chaos warrior head on the liche priest? Neato!
That...
When I first saw you'd named your Terrorgheist "Joan," I assumed it was after Joan Rivers. Talk about a dessicated corpse, amirite?
Seriously though, great plog, love your paint schemes and dioramas.
This plog is pure awesomesauce... gory and horrific in the best possible way!
My girlfriend plays Dark Elves too... I wonder if there's something in the background that draws girls to 'em... hmm...
Ah shit. I've been staring at that exact same model, unpainted, in my "to do" pile for years, and never realized it was a woman. Didn't really look too hard at the breast plate before, I guess.
Great paint job you did though! Your army looks great. Black coach is ace, and I definitely think...
