The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
You're off to an awesome start there, mate. A few stream-of-consciousness thoughts:
Terrorgheists are freakin' awesome, and your unified color scheme throughout the army certainly makes it feel like one solid force.
Those grave guard models are awesome. Mind sharing the conversion recipe...
Just had to pop in and check out all your new stuff, brother. The rust tutorial is phenomenal, and those Black Knights really pop... beautiful stuff, and looks pretty simple to do, as well! I'll definitely have to try out your techniques next time I'm doing armor.
The zombie giant is gorgeous...
I love your background. As I was reading about the 3 elf brothers who all have one part of the secret location, I was thinking that the best part of the story would be right before he found the third part. And then you went and did just that! Nicely done.
The musician is hilariously awesome. I...
I love the second one, Meredoth. Looks familiar. :) Great work!
Whoops, looks like I forgot to post this guy, so for any who haven't seen him on my blog...
There are some, who call him... TIM?!?
OMFG I can't freaking WAIT to see your grave guard.
THIS is exactly how an undead army SHOULD look! A motley crew, pulled from different races and liveries. Plus fifty million points for using the HeroQuest models, obviously.
I love your painting style. Must look great on the tabletop with all...
I can't imagine the amount of time you spent hacking parts together for this thing. Were the armor plates for the head and neck separate parts from the original techy bits, or did you have to cut that stuff away manually? Either way, what a heck of a job. I'm inspired!
Aw crap, another plog that gets an army done in a week and makes me feel bad about my decades long attempts to finish my undead. I'll try to be supportive, lol!
How did you do the blue on the vargheists? Looks like spray paint to me, but it's very well-controlled if that's the case. Looks great!
Thanks for the review! I'm looking forward to some painted pics. Shame you couldn't get your camera to cooperate.
From what I can see, it almost looks like the bodies would make halfway decent chaos marauders, no?
I can't believe the free bitz box, that's insanely awesome. And they clip them...
Yep, that's how you impale things. Nice work all around! Love the banner with "Tepes" on it, educational and thematic! Have you thought about doing a peasant impaled on a breaking wheel? It's all over contemporary portrayals of the medieval period. It'd give some variety to your (already...
Are those not the usual pegasus wings? I don't usually see enough Bretonnian models to know, lol.
I'm interested to see what you're gonna do with the heraldry on the shields and banners, etc. Something vampire related? Or keep it as the original Bretonnian look? If it's the latter, I might add...
I LOVE the beastman and skaven skellie conversions. Where'd you get the rat skull? Painting all looks great and I can't believe the progress you're making so quickly. Good on you for having a plan and sticking to it.
I gotta say, though... something seems a bit "off" to me about the zombie...
Hey Martin! Welcome to the boards! Always nice to see a new face, and possibly have a new opponent or ally to game with! Where are you located?
I'm probably at about the same level, painting-wise, that you are... good but always looking to get better. It's the desire to improve that eventually...
Man, no offense to everyone putting together newer skeleton models, but it's great seeing the old ones get some love. What a fantastic bunch of models. They'll look nice and random once they're all done. Keep up the great work!
Just got done spending a week looking over your Danish site, Jones. What a beautiful army. Amazing, thoughtful conversions, and the fact that you're painting everything as you go along rather than waiting until the end makes for a very enjoyable read. You should be very proud of what you've...
RE: Thirteen shades of black - WIP's everywhere! Run!
I love the wight king, gotta love the metal halberd arms. Probably helps balance out the model too, eh?
Your game night looks like a lot of fun, and not just because of all the booze involved, hehe.
