It's time once again to ferret out those murderous vampires in a new VAU - Vampires Amongst Us. A cross between Cluedo and a roleplay, sometimes gory and often hilarious! Find out more and sign-up! here.
Hello fellow lost souls, I haven't played Warhammer in many years and thus this army has been collecting dust on the shelves. Recently though I started a small 40k force and thought it was a good idea to finish my last few VC models and post them here. Enjoy! The Zombie Horde: Zombies...
Try removing the mold lines before painting. Also, it is better to use a couple of thinner layers of paint instead of thick one (there are also some basecoat paints). Anyway, having that out of the way. Your conversions are really cool and your army theme is fantastic!
First one is quite cool. They sound a lot like Warcraft's Abominations or Magic's Skaabs. Even if not used as their own unit, these would also be awesome fillers for zombies. More skeptical about the second. Cavalary should be fast and agile. Often these constructs are slow and clumsy (thus...
Missing the Elven hosts, but other than that this trailer looks awesome! Of course a lot can go wrong, but Total War has quite a good reputation and GW wants a new/renew player base for their reboot, so lots of potential as well.
Really love this army, especially the clowns! Missing some balloons though. Since you already have one ogre for the cart, I would suggest a couple more as zombie fillers. Zombie ogre clowns are just really, really scary...
Thanks for the reply, The old Zecharias ZD used a 50x50 base. However, the model is still game legal, so wouldn't it hypothetically be legal to place the new dragon on such base as well (assuming it fits). Since Im doing quite a lot of conversions I just want to be sure, because sometimes...
Hi all, Quick question. What are the rules for bases (eg: for conversions)? The dragon for example has a extremely large base, making it vulnerable for lots of attacks. I could use the High Elf dragon (chariot-base) or the older model (50x50). What are the limits though? If I decide to place...
It is the bad guys who are aways attacking and since GW doesn't want to kill an entire playable race (or just weaken them to the point of extinction) the bad guy has too loose. A good guy will rarely attack the bad guy, because attacking is bad and defending is good. If we do not look ag...
A dilemma. I personally love the blood and the contrast it gives with the black-white theme, however, it is indeed unrealistic. A matter of personal taste I believe, but I really like it as it is.
Vampires should make break-tests, the rest should just crumble. I like the idea of a crumbling army when the general dies. It gives the battle something dramatic: Evil will win, but the good guys still have a last change to save the world: A Jedi, a magical ring, etc. The compensation should...
I've been in quite some situations where the enemy units just got completely destroyed just because of a bad fear roll. I don't like it that a player can loose so many points just because of failed 1 roll. Therefore I do not mind how they use fear now: a small extra bonus. But like said...
Chaos Dwarves boring? They are like the normal dwarves, only with centaurs, rockets, demonic cannons big beasts, slaves, etc. Also: http://battlereporter.freeforums.org/warhammer-army-books-fan-made-unofficial-f88.html Or just convert an excisting army. :) As for mtself, I am a big...
My girl also wants to start a Halloween theme. Can you explain what stuff you used for base and tree? Thanks! And the zombie looks awesome! Try some gloss over the blood! :D
About the core units: I believe the skeletons will indeed be dropped in points and be made more useful. This because not only they need it, but also because people have to buy more skeletons ($ for GW). I also believe there will be new zombies. The old zombies are out of date and the...
