Bit of an odd question perhaps, but how many bloodlines are there? Obviously there are five currently known to the empire, but in Nagash the Unbroken there are descriptions of a shapeshifting vampire and a Cathayan/Nippon (can't remember which) vampire. Is there any more info on "lost bloodlines"?
I'm particularly interested in the Oriental themed vampire as I'm thinking of starting a Mordheim warband based on them using the "Spirits of vengeance" and various other wyrd models.
Cathay has vampires.
There was some fluff floating around for the Jade-Blooded vampires.
The Author of the Liber Necris intended the vampires from Cathay to be descended from the Master Vampire Harakhte who had been the Court Vizier in the City of Lahmia.
They where to be obsessive compulsives (e.g. bow a precise amount then take an exact number of steps backwards).
Nothing was ever really officialised about them, I personally wrote alot of mini-fluff pieces on my computer ages ago about these order-obsessed vampires (The lack of fluff leaves alot of room for creativity).
There is also believed to be another bloodline descended from Maatmeses the Chief Justice (Judge, head of law-making) in Lahmia, I think the idea was for her bloodline to be sort of Jungle Dwelling, Voodoo sort characters. Theres some awesome fluff based around this Master Vampire and Bloodline written by The Pale Lady in the story forum.
And I believe only seven master vampires survived the fall of Lahmia so seven bloodlines would probably be all there is.

and vampires grow more powerful with age , and neferata being the first vampire and most of the other master vampires slain would that make one of if not the most powerful vampire alive ?
Neferata is definitely one of the most powerful vampires still alive.
Abhorash would most likely defeat her in a full out fight but only the Gods know where he is.
Maatmeses and Harakhte may also be comparable in power to Neferata, if they still live.
Arguably Melkhior would have been close to her in Strength after he drained W'soran although he's as mad as a hatter.
Then theres other variables to be taken into account, e.g. vampires who master powerful magics, drink the blood of a greater vampire, find potent artefacts, drink the blood of a dragon etc (Like Zacharias)
But it would be safe to say she's certainly up there.
