I think all models in the Brettonian army should Hate him. He did cause some pretty serious problems in Brettonia and they aren't the ones to forget transgressions.

For Lesa, I'd drop a couple combat statistics (maybe Strength or Attacks, because these are made up by her Master Sword) and give her Master of the Dark Arts to increase her magical abilities.

Aaargh!!! Remember that you can only use powers that we have created or agreed on that the particular bloodline has access to! I don't think her strength should be dropped as she is a 2500+ vampire, but yes perhaps her attacks should be dropped.

Maybe create another special rule to give her extra PD?

@ yes I agree about the Duke.

Because Don's trying to keep the powers line specific?

I'm guessing I'm not actually sure but I thought that was the intent with the Special Characters?

Well just because the power itself belongs to a different Bloodline doesn't mean that it applies. Look at Chaos Daemons, many of them have Daemonic Gifts associated with gods other than the ones that they owe allegiance to, but they still have them because the rules fit the model. The name of the power doesn't matter, only the effect, and I don't see why we can't give those effects where they are relevant.

I partially agree with you from a fluffy perspective afterall nothing about this power Master of the Dark Arts is specifically Necrarchy after all.
So I'm sure Lesa could either have that or if she can't then that same power under a different name?

Or a magic item of sorts that grants her additional power dice... remember, we have magic items and vampire power to play with.

I think she should have a special ability. She looks a bit plain with nothin but Bloodline powers and a sword. Can't think of anything suitable right now - I also notice neither has a ward save, making them vulnerable choices for generals (particularly Lesa)

I don't think the read duke should have +1 to hit and Infinate Hatred along with WS 9. I think he should gain +1 str from the Master Forged Blade instead of the +1 to hit (At the moment Lisa has a higher str value in combat).

Lesa:

- She may roll for her spells. In this case she can choose to roll on different Lores for each spell if she so chooses, and can substitute any rolled spell for the first spell of the lore it was rolled on. An duplicated spells must be rolled again.

Can she roll on the lore of vampires using this option?

Edit: I think Lesa's powers would protect her in combat with ASF, and enemy's needing to pass a Ld test at -2 to strike her.

Yeah, as long as Lesa gets bunkered she'll be okay. Close Combat isn't really a problem for her, but getting nailed by shooting would be.
I also have to say that Rubber Ducky brings up some valid points, and I agree with him on the Master Forged Blade. It doesn't make sense for the Duke to his but not have a very good chance of wounding.
Also specify that the Master Forged Blade is not a Magic Weapon, because I could see this causing from confusion.

Ok, I have updated the first posts with the comments in this thread.

Now I think the Duke is complete (barring points). I have swapped the +1 to hit for +1S. The only thing that is of slight concern is his lack of ward save. Perhaps some kind of extreme parry special rule?

Now Lesa - CRD - yes she can roll on the lore of vampires. I was thinking of also giving her a mount option as she normally rides a shadow dragon in the TVC - any thoughts?
I was also thinking she should have one of the master powers, and does everyone still think she should have more PD?

Here are some stats I threw together for Requarah. She'd be somewhere around 200-250 points.

M – WS – BS – S – T – W – I – A – Ld
6……..5…….5…..5….4…..2….8...3+1…7

Equipment:
Ring of Regeneration (Regeneration/5+ Ward Save, I can’t decide)
Hand Weapon and Pistol

Vampiric Powers
Behind the Scenes
Seduction

Magic
Requarah is a Level 2 Wizard and knows Invocation of Nehek in addition to two spells from the Lore of Vampires

Requarah doesn't have a lot going for her besides Lvl. 2 Magic (but that can be achieved by adding 30 points to any normal Vampire). I couldn't decide between the Regeneration rule for the Ring of Regeneration (which seems a little too powerful) or that 5+ Ward Save, which seems a little more realistic in terms of power but is comparably mundane. Any thoughts?

I think she needs something more unique, a special rule of some kind. At the moment she isn't much more than a normal hero. Looking at her history perhaps her Behind the Scenes rule could be enhanced or something?

I think her ring should just give her standard regen to keep it simple.

I was thinking the same thing, but his rerollable armor save should keep him safe against most attacks. With the ammount of hurt he can dish out a Rerollable 1+ armor and a ward might be too much. Maybe make him immune to killing blow instead

Now Lesa - CRD - yes she can roll on the lore of vampires. I was thinking of also giving her a mount option as she normally rides a shadow dragon in the TVC - any thoughts?

It would depend how powerful it was, as she is already very powerful, and i think all the special characters should be about as good as each other at there diffrent roles (hero/ lord level respectivly)

I was also thinking she should have one of the master powers, and does everyone still think she should have more PD?
The extra power dice should be fine, which master power where you thinking

I was thinking about hero-level characters for Blood Dragons and Victarias came up as an option for one. Fluffwise she was origninally designed for a lesser Lord-level character but with a couple of stat drops and some disadvantages (Stupidity, for instance), she would make a very good Konrad-esque character.

She is in the VC army book - have none of you read your fluff?

She is a nutty necrarch that specialises in puppets / experiments if I recall correctly.

As for the Blood Dragon, Victarias would make an interesting choice, though she would be far, far older than the Duke who is the Lord character. xd

I'm surprised there are no other Blood Dragons to use as Hero options.

Walach is cooler (and 2nd gen) than the Duke (probably 3rd) he should be the lord with the Duke as the Hero :D OJ I Don't even like Blood Dragons xD

And really :O Where is this fluff? Is it in one of the older books?

Nope, no mention of a lady Kalfon.

As for Victarias, she may be much older than the Duke in years, but remember that over half of that was spent incarcerated in hell. As we know intimately from TVC, that has imposed certain limitations of Victarias' skills and abilities; she has forgotten much of what she learned before her death.

Yes, nights dark masters are the correct source.

No wonder some of you did not know who Madame Kalfon was as i think that the only source i ever read that ever mentioned her.

However i think she can be a intresting Necrarch character as she differs from the other necrarch vampires. Maybe some rule for the half undead spider sprites may be a good idea.

I just had an idea for a hero level character of the Lahmia bloodline. I hope you like it. :D

Selena, the Curse of the Courts (around 260 points)

Selena is one of the more ‘active’ damsels, sent by the silver pinnacle, residing at the courts of Bretonia. Her unnatural beauty combined with her social skills, give here the edge in infiltrating the higher ranks of the Bretonian society.

M – WS – BS – S – T – W – I – A – Ld
7…….6…..5/6….5…. 4…..2…. 8..3/4… 9

Selena is a Lahmia vampire, is a Level 1 caster and only knows the Invocation of Nehek spell.

Bloodline Powers:
Behind the Scenes
Innocence Lost

Special Rule:
Neferata’s “ambassador” (more precise: negotiator/infiltrator and assassin):
My dear Baron, I have the honor to offer You a final message from my Lady … Your time has come…
+1M +1WS +1BS +2Ld (indicates her social skills)
She cannot join any units (this would blow her cover before she starts her mission) and can never be the armies general.

Equipment: additional dagger and poison.

Magic Equipment:
Asp Bow: Counts as magical Great Bow.
- Gives the wearer +1 to BS
- gives the possibility to target a character or champion in a unit at a -1 to hit penalty

Cloak of Mist and Shadows:
- Shooting at the wearer has an additional -2 penalty to hit (shadow ability)
- Infiltration: can be activated once per battle. At the start of her movement phase, the wearer can chose to activate this ability and become ethereal until her next movement phase. (mist ability)
