I actually like the spider head guy.

To be honest i did intend for it to look similar to an ettercap, being an old DnD fan myself, and if the head is mounted directly onto the torso it will be strikingly similar

Adam_Barrow are you an old DnD fan aswell? (or anyone else for that matter?) in that case i might tempt you with another Plog of mine based on regular whfb dwarfs as DnD Duergar with special guests like Illithids and umber hulks in the army

its time for another battle report, this time an unholy coalition with the wicked elfs from the land of chill. against the green horde of orcs and gobbos

it ended in a closely fought defeat at the last round, my unharmed vampire lord kited around the battlefield and held in check them sneaky greenskins! revenge will be ours!

Yep, started playing dnd way back when I was in eighth grade. I'd love to see some dnd models.

Loving the conversion work. And the paintjob on that creepy fleshy monster thing(for lack of a better word) looks great.

How much converting did it take to make the strigoi(on foot) stand upright(and look natural)? don't see any green stuff or cut marks on it, driving me nuts. Oh, wait, are those Crypt horror legs?

well i promised melle to do a tutorial on how to do that one and ill do one rather soon, the thing is that there are no strigoi legs there, its regular bloodletter legs, with some initial thinning off on the thies and the holes where the legs are supposed to be they fit even better than on them bloodletter torsos

perfetc fit so to speak, ill try and get a tutorial on it this upcoming week.

it honors me to hear you enjoy it im far too lazy for updates but heres a quickie, something else this time, some .. prey if you prefer

starting up a second force of empire, and had some initial ideas about the greatswords that i think i solved quite nifty, seeing as i refuse to have the elite infantry of the army wearing feather-clad hats and other things unsuitable for a battlefield i wanted to go for a all out plate style.

had some ideas about the demigryph knights helmets and after a quick fix i think it turned out good, still just a rough try but the finished product will look awesome.

three helmets turned into regular plate helmets

had some trouble with the standard bearer and musician so turned the bad axe arm into something better, easy pose turned lower arms, splendid!

also had the great pleasure of some lady company for the army, for cold night and the likes
(models supplied from a sculpturer in russia called vinnie)

had some initial thoughts about a engineer, and with some greenstuff i think this lad will look quite pleased with himself

not to forget i made a small change to the little ugly demi-ghoul necromancer whatnot
i think he looks even more grose now

and last but not least my general, a big sturdy lad - totally unfit for a 20mm base, a good two heads higher and broader than a chaos warrior. seen here posing with Archaon on foot from 2004 - one of the largest models GW has produced on a 25mm base - purely for scale. so this human knight is just h-u-g-e

its quite a good sculpt the metal one issnt that impressive but the resin one is, and im sure the "ukranian slave girl and renaissance girl" is likewise good sculpts.

decent shipping cost aswell, cant complain!
if you mail him he'll even send scale comparisons with .. *hush hush* GW *sneak hush* models.. you know for 28mm scale comapres but that is not allowed as we all know marketing with other companies models issnt something GW takes lightly

time to delve deeper into madness, heres a big update for you guys, been a bit lacking during christmas but its worth its wait

first off i made 20 black guards for my GF and her Dark elves

and a dark pegasus för her impression of morathi the first sorcress

i also made my most powerful wizard, balthazar gelt the patriarch of the collages of magic.
allthough he is not meant to be on foot i had to do one incase his pegasus dies.

and this little freak, supposedly my lore of the beast wizard, or necromancer wichever you prefer. he got a facelift since last you saw him, gave him a plaguebearer head and greenstuffed over the cyclops eye so he is just teeth and forehead :tongue:
he issnt done yet either, just gave him a few strokes of the brush but its a hint

next up my other engineer, this one was a bit tricky cuz the handle and trigger finger had to connect perfect and i think i sorted that out pretty neat

and a battle standard bearer wip, he will either get a new plastic/metal staff, and i will make one on horseback aswell, so i can choose wichever i prefer.

lastly the updated pictures of the empire army, and also my GF's dark elves.

The rest is great too, especially loving the black guards, great conversion idea and well executed. What did you use for head? Can't put my finger on it...

oh Johnny you little trixter, i did write that it was only in case the pegasus dies, since he cant voluntarily dismount his steed nor can he be bought without it, but if the pegaus is hit by a, say bolt thrower and dies, then Gelt is left on the battlefield without the 50mm base, just think about it, the pegasus dies, so the fly special rule dont work anymore is gelt left on the 50mm base to continue with his base movement? no he is unvoluntarily dismounted and has to continue on foot on a regular human 20mm base with his base movement, it works just as if he had ridden another multiwound mount, like a dragon. only when the steed has a 1-wound characteristics does the steed die with the rider and never without
the whole monstrous cavalry and cavalry rule is mainly for rank and file one-wound-troops on multi-wound mounts. when there is a character they are not treated as a regular rank and file

also the heads on the black guards is regular cold one knight heads, with some exotic cabalite heads and a few heads from the dark elf dragon lord kit, she hassnt decided wether or not she will glue the headgear onto the helmets or just greenstuff the holes, bah women

use highest wound AND Toughness.

it sounds just like that 40k rule where you get extra coversaves from being behind another unit and if you save any wounds allocated to you by the coversave given by the unit then nothing happens, like someone just dodged the bullet for you but he's just fine

i even did a mem to point out how stupid that rule is
