Well I suppose you could try to throw the Chaos Star out the window but it resists and zaps you with dark energy knocking you halfway across the room? That's what I'd do if I were Graveclaw, but means that you're not godmodding and just chucking something evidently plot-important out. In character but not too powerful.

Edit: Or maybe touching it just burns so much you can't pick it up.

He is quite irritated. It took that long to get this paranoid group to agree to use it and then it blows up in his face. He really wants shred something at the moment, preferably something that doesn't want to be shredded!

In reverse, during the first TVC there was one guy I constantly referred to by his character's name when outside the RP. I just couldn't stop and get it right. :lol:

Well... I had an interesting holiday I guess... So now to catch up on what I've missed.

Umm... The major event was the mirror freaking out and melting into a symbol of chaos (the universal one right? and it was a symbol of chaos wasn't it?) and people trying to throw around the blame... Anything else I'm missing?

And Helena's back in the room (unless that's what you mean) and Niklaus had volunteered to join Kithan's scouting party to the Pinnacle (if a Lahmian sees him, he's probably dead, but he needs to do something before all the bickering kills him, and he's very careful). That's it. And I'm sure it was the generic sign. Nothing specific was mentioned.

And like always for posting after not having done so in a long time, I feel as though I have forgotten some things, so if you see something off in my post, just tell me so I can try to fix it.

Also, I didn't miss anything with how people acted after this incident right? Everyone basically went straight to trying to figure out who to blame for things going south... And did I miss something else for what happened to Esmeralda after the mirror melted (or potentially before... all I can seem to see is her screaming in pain after seeing stuff, and then the mirror melting)?

Another thing, in Dread's post, he says

The vampiress' scream, and a pained bestial shout pierced the air for but an instant, and the outer rim of the mirror shattered, bits of it flying around the room.

Am I reading too much into it, or did something else shout in pain along with Esmeralda? Sorry if it was something really obvious, but I can't recall anyone seeming to take notice of it in their posts (though my memory might not be great right now with how late it is for me...). So is something else in pain from what happened as well, or just more description for Esmeralda's scream, and a poorly placed and?

I read that as something like a daemon roaring through the mirror in response to Esmeralda's attempts at communicating through it. @The Dread King should be able to clarify further if its necessary.

Also, Kithan did actually send some retainers to help Esmeralda right after the mirror had gone boom (link to the post). You might be able to work around that by making the retainers appear ineffective in their efforts and then have Kavok decide to take care of it personally, or something.

Edit: And Niklaus seems to be getting worried that Helena is going to screw things up for him. :lol:

Well, every time Helena and Niklaus talk they seem to drive each other up the wall. Also Niklaus is a control freak and Helena isn't exactly what you would call a master spy, so of course he'd be worried about her coming on a spying mission.

As I have written in the IC thread (but to make it clear to those who haven't read it recently).

Here are a few things your character can do IC. Of course, we'd also like it if you stated your own opinion in the OOC thread too, because that is what really counts.

- Say where you want your character to go (the options have been listed in my latest IC post, but of course you are welcome to suggest more)
- Say which mission you think are the most important to do soon (which you are most looking forward to, and which you think would fit in with the story well if done soon)
- Depending on the number of active RPers, we will decide how many simultaneous chapters will be opened after this, and the most desired storylines will be given the highest priority
- Decide whether or not the mission to the Pinnacle should proceed using characters - because characters could visit later; NPCs could be sent while the next few chapters take place
- Engage in general IC RPing - the inaction is over (for a good while at least, with luck - new chapters will start soon!)

My apologies for the delay in this most recent IC post of mine, guys, but I'm glad that the storyline is finally progressing properly again.

Thanks for the feedback, Vashra; if enough RPers want to have their characters go to the Pinnacle in the next chapter (rather than at a later date) then that will be done. Make sure to post in the IC thread as usual, though! I realise that my latest post was particularly long (and probably boring as well), but that's no excuse!

And so I will remain Lord of Shadows. it suits myself and my playstyle, and none of my characters like Nagash (except one ). In fact they think he's evil! So Lord of Shadows it is. Although it does sound impressive.
