*Closes book*

"And this is the end of the tale of the forum known as Carpe Noctem. After the "Matt-Ward Mobile arrived" silver demons desguised as post human warriors dismounted and started burning everything around them with flaming posts, such as "GET LOST NEWB" "I F*CKING HATE THESE BRONIES, THEIR MOTHERS DESERVE TO BE R@PED". Innocent posters were massacred in the thousands. People as young as ten posts old were trolled mercilessly, people who had only just posted their introduction thread were flamed alive, their screams echoing through the warp. This massacre steadily rose in its ferocity and inhumanity, until in one horrible climax, Edward Khill, the chaos God of trolling was born. The internet backlash knocked out thousands of computers, uploading Trojans and spyware all over the website. In this single moment, the entire internet was wiped out, leaving behind a gaping void of clustered bites and server ID's. Those with the foresight to seeing the Bronies had already retreated into the Darknet however and clung to their fragile lives in attachtments to emails, finding refuge for their souls in memory sticks they tried to live a peaceful existence. Other's still survived the backlash and started to survive by living off the energy of all the hating and trolling that was running rampant on the internet, because they knew when they would die their data would all fall to the singular God of Trolling.

A new young race emerged, discovering the internet from a scrapped laptop on the ruins of a once great city of the elder race, and began to use it, an administrator emerging from them to guide them into expanding through the internet.

Although to this day nobody knows of the fate of this website, some say that on a day when a user is bored of ninegag and youtube, the ghost of this website appears in your browser, and if you are drawn into it, you are lost for all eternity.

Only one man remains from those times. He lives on his own in a private server. Althought he rarely speaks sometimes one lucky individual is invited in and is told this chilling story, as a warning to us if we ever get bored on our internet forums.

It's just a story though, told as a warning.

Or is it?"

So wait, the Grey Knights purged the Bronies? AAAAAAND I'M PROOOOOUD TO BE A GREY KNIIIIIIIGHT, A DEFENDER OF HUMANITY

Bloody work. Back after a brief spell away from home. Hate being called away on emergencies. Good news I am taking my weekend tomorrow so will catch up in the morning - was going to do some tonight until the missus gave me evils and reminded me that she hasn't seem me for a few days as well.

On the positive side I assume you have all worked on introducing and describing your characters. I did spend some time thinking of my long term plot, and from that I have revised who my secondary character is going to be. New bio going up tomorrow xd

I haven't introduced yet, but that's just because I'm churning through the 4 pages of other intros first. Haven't got a huge amount of spare time, so it may take another few days for me to finally post

I don't want to hold everyone up, feel free to plow on without me if all get's rolling before me

Guys, if we're going off topic, can we at least make it Fantasy instead of 40K off topic? :D

But... but...
Think of the children! All those glittering possibilities!
Using Fantasy for laughs, people might get confused between the RP and the jokes, like water and dihydrogen monoxide. I always get those two mixed up...

You need to approve a few characters in the Sign-up thread, including Narenzade's and Nightwere's :) Buuuut ... Glad to have you back, oh Holy DoN ... Erm, I mean, Unholy DoN

(Get it, Holy DoN, Holy One? Yeah, I bore myself too sometimes ...)

Jeez, I'm away for a week and it all kicks off. I'm going to read the story so far and start writing Peter's arrival at Drakenhof. Hopefully should be up tomorrow. And yay, Nightwere's back.

OK, Malochai, here's a fantasy version, TVC style:

Rowhaine sensed the waning of necromancy; he could not understand why it was happening. That was why the vamipres had gathered at Drakenhof. Suddenly he experienced a deadly loss of power; vampires crashed to the floor around him as DoN simply stopped posting. "No!" he cried as he fell to his knees. Ponies burst into the room, slaughtering left, right and centre, even as White Dwarf released another official update instead of an army book. Games Workshop prices started rising at the alarming rate of £100 a second, and The Matt broke out of the wards stopping him from destroying the fluff of warhammer. Worldwide, fluff was immolated and replaced with the vile substance that even a six year old learning to write could do better than, as chaos overran the Old World, its denizens all hailing their overlords Cleggie The Betrayer and Matt, the Wrecker of Lore, the dreaded King of Ponies.
But it was not the end. An organisation know as The Fast Posters, led by SigObamar, fought back, bravely releasing 9th edition whilst he fired half the board of GW. Wood elves and Bretonnians got their codexes, and the brave lads of the Empire found a vast and secret cache of fluff in the depths of the TVC, and rebuilt imaginations, obliterating the shackles that held the greatest minds of the world trapped beneath the iron rule of Cleggie. Tuition fees were lowered, and blood knights became affordable once more.
Finally, in a climatic confrontation known as the Battle for Slough, SigObamar cast down Cleggie with his mighty blade, Common Sense, and smote his ruin on Sainsbury's. All-new krispy kremes burst out of the building, screaming "Death to the Matt Lorewrecker! Death to the Pony King!" as they swarmed over the mighty Chaos God. He fought back, but for every Original Glazed he cut down, five Chocolate Pralines emerged. Swarmed by doughnuts, he died screaming as he was fed too much doughnut and exploded.

Well, that's that! xD

But wait! There's more!
After the Pony King was cast down, SigObamar ruled wisely, battleing to unite the various warmodel companies. Soon he had formed a vast Empire, with GW as its capital. The realms of the roleplayers fashioned twelve plots of great strength, and gifted them to SigObamar who had fought with them against the terrible scourge of imagination, the Soapven, TV shows whose vicious chitterings echoed through the media valleys. The Greenscreens had risen up, and their influence caused several terrible moviepocalypses until SigObamar fought many battles and drove them out of his empire. Meanwhile the High Novelists taught the Imperial writzards many of the more elementary controls of the winds of magic.
Eventually SigObamar died peacefully, leaving behind him a strong Empire. However to the south lay the apparently dead lands, wiped clean by DoNs lack of posting long ago. But DoN was not dead, merely slumbering. He awoke, and began gathering an army of uninactive posters to regain what he claimed was rightfully his. The knights of Carpe Noctem, having lived feeding off others posts, found that despite DoN originally being their master, they would have to band together to fight him off. And so was formed: the Carpe Noctem Council.

...But Ward never destroyed Fantasy lore, he only took the semblance of balance it had, dumped several thousand gallons of gasoline on it, and dropped a match.

I've been a die hard fan of 40k my entire life and I don't mind Matt Wards writing, especially as he has two very wonderful qualities-
1# He isn't Cruddance, who simply should be relegated to making the staff coffee rather than writing codices
2# He isn't Kelly, who wrote Space Wolves. Do I need to tell you what is wrong with codex space wolves? *shudders*

edit: Btw DoN, can you check your pms? There should be one from me about the Are Pee.

However he wrote Deldar, which is awesome!!!

And Ward wrote Grey Knights.

Grey. Knights...

Grey Knights are balanced, fun to play with, and have great fluff. Dark Eldar got screwed by 6th edition. Ward also gave us Necrons which are beyond epic.

Frankly I don't even think Ward is too bad anyway, but I do like Kelly. Last time I checked (ie 5th ed  ) GK were ooba-overpowered.. probably not so now. So what if the evil pointy ears aren't good to play with, their fluff absolutely owns all others! I mean politics with black holes, a virus that turns you into glass by an artist?? AWESOME CAKES
