hey, im a new comer to the vampire counts, i have played a few years as a high elf but have found them a bit borish to play the recent months so now i wanted to play something entirely different and vampires and the whole idea of raising new troops was just very appealing to me...

well this is my introduction and i hope, when more experienced in the lore of vampires, i can become an asset to this forum in the future!

A warm and perverted welcome to all that I haven't welcomed yet!

I am sure you will enjoy the forums and find all the help you need. One thing I would highly recommend is to start painting logs, as we love to see new models plus we can give you advice.

If you do have any questions though feel free to ask.

Cheers

Hi I am new here on the forum.
I think the Necharch vampires are coolest.
I like the theeme of the older vampires.
I do not own an vampire army. Yet.
I have catched some interest for them.
And I hope you forum guys will help me going as best you can.
The only thing I own is their book.
So i can still discuss tactics.

Hi Kalerith.

Welcome to CN! Of course we will help you in anyway we can, we have plenty of painting and tactical advice that should help.

If of course you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hello all! I've been lurking around here for a while now and collecting Vampire Counts since the spring. I've been keeping up on the tactics and army building forums to try to figure out how to play the Vamps since I found this forum and finally decided to step out of the shadows and decided to introduce myself.

I have a fairly sizable army already, missing only some blood knights and a zombie dragon from having at least one field-able unit of everything from the VC army book. I look forward to conversing with all of you in the future!

Welcome Lord Ruthven!

I hope you will find everything you need here to help with your army, and make sure you post up a painting log so we can see all your models.

If you do have any questions feel free to axk.

Hey there, I'm Josh and I'm fairly new to Warhammer. I've been playing less than a year now and only have a few games under my belt and the army is definitely still in progress but I'm getting there :)

anyways I've been looking through these forums for advice and such and just finally decided I may as well join, nice to be here!

Howdy! My name is Gideon, but you may call me "The Great Maw." (haha) I am actually not a VC player, but an Ogre Kingdoms player. I also have a bit of Tomb Kings and toyed with a skink army (in previous Lizzy rules), but I am pretty much a die-hard Ogre player. I used to play Skaven pretty hardcore, but am now selling them to my friend.

Anyway, my friend is getting back into the game, and he's starting up VC. I want to learn more about them because, to be honest, they terrify me. I've only played a few times against them, and slaughtered them (the guy [same guy each game] had no idea what he was doing). Now, my friend who just started playing VC, is dominating veterans left and right... I have not had the privilege of playing him yet, but I am looking forward to it *gulp*.

Needless to say, :| I hope to learn about the vampires, and have fun here!

Welcome to CN Great Maw.

Yes unfortunately VC are a bad matchup for OK, as they struggle with things like Spirit Hosts and Wraiths,, find it difficult to deal with us magically, and if your opponent takes Konrad or the Frost Blade then it's pretty much game over.

Still we will be more than happy to help, after all we are all here to have fun! Post in the tactics section and I'm sure you'll get some great advice.

Hi all and welcome!

Ah yes the dead are terrifying indeed :D

Great Maw, I recognise you from the Ogre Stronghold, even though I don't frequent the website :P Aren't you a mod/admin there?

Hello all! Since from beginning I always play with VC. When I choose my army, I didn´t look for a competitive army or something like this, I choose by miniatures visual and special rules, and for me, necromancy and fear are the coolest special rules in warhammer world so far! So, I colect VC about four years, and I have around 6000 points. I'm not a master player, but I hope to share experiences and take some tips with you!

Thanks!

PS: Sorry by my english errors!

Hello all! Great Maw finally got me to join the forum today, even though I've been skulking around as a guest for quite a few weeks now. I'm a fairly new VC player, having actually only played one battle with them (happy to say that the armies of the night were victorious), though I've been playing WHFB or quite some time. Started out as Lizardmen, moved on to Beasts of Chaos (right before Lizardmen were updated), and now I've moved on to Vampire Counts. I have to say, I have had more fun playing VC than any other army.

Welcome all of you!

To Orsini, I see you are a man after my own heart. Fear and Necromancy are by far the best things in WHFB! It's good to see you here on CN, and since you have 6000 points of Undead goodness, I hope to see a painting log :D
And to Nagru, Im glad you've decieded to come out and stop skulking! Were all friendly here, and we don't bite (much). Also, when you said "I have had more fun playing VC than any other army." it shows that you do belong here!

So to both of you, we will everything we can to help you while your here, with tactics, painting tips or whatever you need, and we hope you enjoy your stay!

Marcus, In all my life, I always was simpatic with undead histories, toys and stuffs like this. When I knew warhammer, choose VC was very easy. In the beginning I had a doubt between TK and VC, but necromancy helped me to decide for a VC army. About paint, I confess that I buy minis faster than I paint, and I can´t spend all time that I would like to spend with Warhammer (job, family, etc), but I have some units painted, and photos will be here soon!!

Sup
This is Fangstorm
Been playing Warhammer(mostly) for a long time. But its mostly on and off. I love to paint but my real passion for the game is conversions, I have a huge VC army(about 5,00pts). This is my main army but I play Dwarfs, Empire, Tomb Kings, and just started on Skaven( new models are cool!) Website looks awesome and the Tactics Forums are quite impressive. I will definitly learn alot here.
Thanks
and remember... Death is the only certainty...:skull:

Death is indeed the only certainty Fangstorm, and I bid you welcome to Carpe Noctem. The current written size of your VC army does little to impress me ( ) but all the same, it is good to have more warriors in the fold! :vampire2:

Hello everyone, I am MysticOblivion and I am in the process of re-entering the hobby. I was originally a collector but jumped into gaming once I had convinced friends to join me.

I first encountered a WHFB rulebook at the beginning of 6th edition and started up a Tzeentch army. Once I had a decent 200pt army I discovered VC and never really looked back. I ran a Necharch army and at my peak had collected a force of undead numbering over 10,000 points. I also collected sizable armies of Beastmen, Ogre Kingdoms, Empire, Orcs and Goblins, Brettonians, Lizardmen and the newest incarnation of Wood Elves all numbering upwards of 3,000 points. I dabbled a little in 40k with a small force of dark angels but not taking it too seriously. Unfortunately, tragedy struck in the form of a spiteful woman resulting in the loss of every model I had collected.

Hell hath no fury, right?

Four years later, here I am starting from scratch. I have nothing as of right now but I plan on jumping right back into collecting my beloved VC asap, though I lament the apparent loss of bloodlines and useful necromancers.

Hello all, my name is Terry. Ive been dabling in the GW for almost 10 years of my 25 year life now. Of course started with 40k, then side steped to LOTR and then landed on Fantasy. Started with Empire, then moved to Lizardmen, then to Vampire Counts, then back to Empire and now back to VC :)

I dont play as much as i build the armies. And i usually dont build to a theme, just what i like.

Ive been looking at this site for some time now, just wanted to give a quick shoutout before i start posting some of my own VC.

Hello all.

I bid you good night...

I am called Thuryon, or, as Igor likes to call me, Masteeeer. You may address me either way. :zombie1:

I've been "playing" and painting for a decade or so (I feel so old when I say that), and after a long time playing mostly my Wood Elves I decided it was time for a change, life to death seems like a proper change of pace. ;)

I'll be posting my first army list in a few moments and I hope you can enlighten me a bit. Cheers!
