Hi im Chaos. Sold my Black Templars army about a year ago, and have just made the move to Vampire Counts. I started out with the Lord of the Rings range when it was released, but sold most of that as I'm not really into the gaming side of it anymore. I like the painting. Currently, I only have Vlad von Carstein, mounted. I am looking at building Drakenhof, then maybe Red Abbey. Design phase is difficult, to say the least, as I am working from the tiny picture from the codex. (Off the Sylvania map.) There isn't alot of images of Vampire Counts scenery online. That being said, I'm Chaos, new to Vampire Counts, and am ambitious.

Hey everyone. Im ftayl5. Got into warhammer in late 2007 with Tomb Kings, then took a change of pace and made a small Ogre Kingdoms Army, before the new Vampire Counts release turned me to the dark side :devil2: I now have an aproximately 1500pt, Crypt Ghoul army. I chose to do a Ghoul army becasue I really like the new(er) Ghoul models. And after painting up a Tomb kings army I never wanted to paint a bone ever again! I'm not a particularly amazing player and am always looking to improve.

Welcome, newfolks!

Be sure to behave around here and I'm sure you'll find whatever is it you need to become successful in your afterlife. :)

Hello to all you fine nocturnal creatures,

I am Abb, I am a British night stalker currently hunting in Beijing China. Now I have been collecting my VCs for about 6 months now but haven't really made a big enough dent in the paintng side of things.

I have won a few games and lost (quite) a few too in the 6 short months of my undead career.

What I am Interested in most (and have been for the last 20 years of callecting WH) is the converting and scratch building of miniatures. I am currently working on TWO Abbysal Terrors. They are going to be the same design and the same dimensions (to the best of my abilities) but as you would expect 1 is in flight and 1 is posing on a rocky outcrop.

I will post my first pictures, both concept designs and WIP of my Terrors and the twin Vamps that will be their masters in the very near future.

Well I look forward to talking to you all and hopefully I will prove to be a worthwhile addition to your community.:zombie1:

Howdy all!

I'm Thom (no the "h" is not a typo.) I've been playing 40k for about 10 years and just started Fantasy last year. Started out playing with my buddies High Elves but fell in love with VC as soon as I saw them. Even though I've only played 2 games so far both massacres with Lizardmen killing me and me killing a night goblin army (discovered that fear vs ld 5 is nasty.)

Looking forward to picking up pointers from more experienced players as no one at my current group plays VC.

I'm Harland.
I had a small Vampire Counts army, when I got the Limited edition Vampire Counts Spearhead for Christmas, and my collection exploded.

Harland is a special character of mine - generally just a Guy with a huge axe who utterly despises the fat toads. otherwise known as Slann. He does not belong to any Blood line, because he was one of the first Vampires.

I have played several battles, and I've only ever lost to Lizardmen. but I ALWAYS loose to Lizardmen.

Before I played Fantasy, I played Lord of The Rings.

hi,

i am mictom. i live in north germany and i just started two months ago with warhammer. never did anything like that before.

as i am working and having a family, i sporadically paint and play on late evenings or nights.

thats actually everything there is to it. i started my own WIP thread with my army. take a look there if you like.

yo i am a random paranoid low life that have an army of vampire counts containing
1 blood dragon vampire hero whit great weapon
1 banshee
10 dire wolfs
1 necromancer
10 skeleton warriors
just started whit vampire counts this month and i think this is going to be my best army yet

vampire counts was actually my first choice but there where non of those in the store so i bought beast of chaos instead.
i also got an army of orcs and goblins and 1 whit dwarfs but i don't like those

i spend most of my free time hurting my self to make me tougher, painting models or just training all my senses cuz i don't trust my eyes
I'm also not able to cry when i am awake but i don't mind that cuz it's a real pain when water comes out of your head

and also i hate people asking about me cuz all i can say is i don't know much about me myself

'ello.

I seem to have missed this one the first time around. I answer to the name 'Von' in real life, so it's more than good enough for our purposes here. Started playing WFB in, ooh, 1996? Played Undead. The first Vampire Counts book was the only thing I've ever been sufficiently excited about to advance order. Built three armies in my time: a skeleton horde led by a confused Liche, the small retinue of a struggling Necrarch, and a rather substantial Sylvanian knightly order, which I was working on the last time I started posting here, and eventually sold off via this site when I burned out on the Vampires after four and a half years and a lot of Liche Purple. I wish I'd never sold any of them, but I suppose I wouldn't still be gaming if not for my "buy it, paint it, play it, sell it, spend money on the next one" paradigm, so... swings and roundabouts.

I also play Warmachine (Cryx), Mordheim (Undead) and am looking to start Hordes of the Things (10mm game, for which I will probably be buying a lot of very small undead); I roleplay (the World of Darkness and the Iron Kingdoms are my favourite settings, with WFRP and Call of Cthulhu not far behind) and I admit to playing that dreadful Warcraft thing (main character's a Forsaken Warlock). I tend to automatically gravitate to undead factions in any game that has them, and hope to consume the entire planet's stock of purple paint by 2012.

Outside gaming? Hm. I teach English and Drama to young adults and up, watch a lot of Doctor Who, and am a recovering Goth. That's probably enough to be going on with.

Hello All.

My name is Jamie and I have been following Games Workshop since I stumbled along a store when I was about 10. I am now 25 and because it was always so expensive I never managed to buy enough at a time to paint it and play a game. I am now 25 and have enough income to buy hordes of the stuff but I also have a family and no time to paint it!!!

I have around 3-4k worth of 40K tau (most of which still lies in its unopened packaging) and 4-5k of VC that lies assembled but largely unpainted.

With this registration and about £100 worth of new paints and tools I hope to get this VC army operational and maybe even dare I say it...play a game.

I have lots of ideas I'd like to talk about with you!

Hey There.
My name is Chadd, i just got back into Warhammer Fantasy after a 4 year hiatus. I just purchased my friends closeted Vampire Count Collection... totally stoked about it. It's actually the very army that inspired me to play Warhammer in the first place.
I also play Ogres... eagerly awaiting the new army book.
Anyways, I live downtown in Salt Lake City, anyone looking for a game is welcome to PM me... we've got a good group with every army between the 7 of us. :)

Welcome one, welcome all! I'm sure you'll find yourself right at home here on CN. If there's something that appears to be unclear to you, just shoot a question off in our general direction and you will be enlightened. :)

Hello everyone!

I suppose I could be considered a casual VC player. I don't get in many games, and my army is far from completely assembled. It was originally seeded during an auction at the local GW, when I bought the store's old army for a steal - fully built and painted by the staff, and sold to me for a quarter of its retail value.

Now, I've got roughly 80-100 Skeletons, a comparable number of zombies, at least 20 Grave Guard, 5 Black Knights, a Black Coach, three Spirit hosts, a Lahmian Vampiress on Winged Nightmare (Err, the old Winged Nightmare, so I guess an Abyssal Terror under the current rules?), a Strigoi vampire, a unit of ghouls, fifteen Dire Wolves, a vampire model I converted myself out of several pieces, and a bunch of other incomplete models compiled from various bits I've accumulated along the way.

I'm one often struck by the desire to convert models, and new inspiration inevitably tears me away from any project I start before I finish it. I have an idea for a themed VC army that I really want to get going on, and all my research so far has suggested I'm going to have to build the models from scratch. It'll be a tall order for someone like myself, who is lacking in sculpting experience, and I'm hoping to find some constructive criticism and encouragement when I acquire the resources to get started.

Oh, and my posts have a tendency to meander - it will not be uncommon for me to start on one thought and end somewhere completely different.

:konrad:Hi everyone! just picked up counts when the new book came out after taking a long break from fantasy. After playing almost exclusive 40k last year, I plan on making the counts my primary focus. Nice to see a site dedicated to the pointy-teeth brigade!

[/font] Hhhhhi... :Vampire1:

I absolutely LOVE the change!

I used to play Necrarchs/Blood Dragons.. Aaaah those were the good days where a bloodline gave you some thrilling advantages(sigh)
Now i'm finding it very difficult to put a army together and find a good strategy to go along with it.

I paint now and again with a collection ranging from zombo's to a Vampire Lord, have to admit that the shipping costs aint no joke so aquiring new models/units is a real mission. As for the battlefield, i've only ever encountered Empire and Orcs.....HATE artillary!!:mad

I don't visit the forum often, but hopefully that'll change! Pleasure to meet you all:mrgreen:

And thats me.

Hi there,

(Thanks in advance to any welcome I receive).

I am a WFB "noob". Recently I cracked under the pressure of square base players to the left and right and embraced the sword and shield way of life, setting aside my bolter and power armour for 1 week in 4.

A friend happily gave me the starting of a Bretonian army, to which I thanked him and proclaimed a week later that I thirsted for blood and the necromancy skills to make it happen. The idea of raising skeletons and zombies from the dirt to fight the living is a very funny idea that instantly made me laugh (no offence to those hard core players but I cant play a game without seeing the funny side).

Have just won myself a small army from the spirit of recycling (ebay) and have been working on a 1000 point list to aspire to.

Anyway, this post already contains enough rambling to have me proclaimed a madman so see you around and apologies in advance for dumb "noob" style questions.

waaanial, this forum is not a hobby forum. It is a lunatics asylum thinly veiled by a disguise in the shape of a forum about warhammer vampires. You will feel right at home.

Welcome ya'all, and remember to make sure to collect your meds at 6 am every morning. 9 pm is lights out, and any trouble makers will be further medicated and straight jacketed by our orderlies. Electroshock therapy and lobotomies are available on request.
