Hello suckers!. ehr.. I mean bloodsuckers ;)

I'm a guy from Sweden and I'm 17 years old.
I've been more or or less been involved in the hobby for about  6 years I believe.

I started out with 40k but turned onto fantasy later on, I have an Ogre army of about 2000pts painted and ready for slaughter and still a few more ogres lying around.. On that I have some beasties to, not much at all, just about one big herd and a few chaoswarrior/beast-bestigors (I assume most of u have seen that conversion)..

I've been involved a bit on the Herdstone forum about a year ago but I dunno if that forum is still running. However, I think Vampire counts seems to be a awesome army, and I really like the story and fluff about them. So now I've registered here!

Hopefully I will get me some undeads to play with later on and maybe some more beasties.. Rather I MUST get me some more goats later on.
Beside that I'm now working on a scratch-built vampie, I think it's going quite well actually, maybe I throw up a pic of him when he's ready for it :)

Welcome to CN! The place where so long as its dead, you can use it
Goat zombies always go down smooth :P

As for this scratch build vampire.. I have to see it! I've seen very few scratch builds, and I always love seeing them. What bloodline is it leaning towards?

See you in the Forums

hum... he appears to be quite gruesome in the face so maybee strigoi, but he could as well represent a carstein..

But there are no actual bloodlines now (rules to speak) are there?. maybee I come up with an own
Hopefully there'll be some pics at the forums soon, we'll see.

Yep, no blood lines anymore (sadly). A strigio, always a fine way to model a vamp, as an angry killing machine! I hope that pic is up soon! You might want to start a painting log for yer army then

He could as well represent a really angry carstein to :)
Yea thats a good idea!.. sadly I do not really know how to take good pics :(
I'll just start a new log right now, and ask the Q:s I need for now.

Hi,
I've been reading all the useful advice on this forum for a little while, and I thought that if I was taking advantage of it, I really should introduce myself.
I've been playing Warhammer for about 18 months - mostly as an Empire player until I was tempted into undeath by the new army book. I'm still working out how the army works, but I'm leaning towards lots of spell casting - I like the look on my opponent's face when he (or she!) sees 12 power dice.
If anyone's in the Birmingham area in England and fancies a game, come along to the Immortals club in Sutton Coldfield. Lots of Elves and Orcs to crush!
Cheers,
Geraint

Welcome to CN! We all get tempted by the dead side now and again, but the main reason you stay dead is that we have free afterlife mints :P

Mjellow folks... Here goes:

I've collected/painted/played (not that often) for about 5 years now. Mycurrent projects are VC, Witch Hunters and some Slaanesh 40k. I usually post my VC stuff at CDO's off-topic showcase... but now that my fiancè found this site for me, I might give it a try inhere too :-) I'm from Denmark and besides Warhammer I love consol games (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Army of Two...) and music (singing, playing, listening)... That's about it... oh and I'm a "she" not a "he" btw :)

It is interesting how our minds instantly label others (on the internet), as being of our same gender (in most cases).
*scurries away to continue research*
Ah, and seeing as I haven't actually properly introduced myself, here goes. I am an undead and eldar fanatic, necrons, tomb kings, vampires, and eldar. Really unmotivated with the painting (hence why most of my armies aren't painted :D). I' also the guy who has gone on a link hunt for this site, refer to the now massive and overflowing relevant links page. Other than that my current project is my vc army (which I am trying to paint).

Real Long time GW player (Fav game is blood bowl)
Long time Empire/Imperial guard player. Have VC army, love to play hate to paint. Daughter is better painter then me so I try to con her into painting all for me but never works.

G'day, Skaven Lord Vinshqueek here...

Been playing GW games for about nine odd years now (gah, I feel old now) with armies varying over nine different gaming systems (so yes, I'm a specialist games freak). Not so much of a Vampire Counts player, but a mate of mine is considering to pick his old army up again, so sneaking in to learn some tricks is never a bad thing.

i've just started warhammer, and VC would be my first army.
i have also read a couple threads and learned. hope to keep learning with this forum

Welcome to CN! If you need any help, ask the nearest zombie on how he'd do it. If he doesn't start clawing at your scalp, he's a bad bad zombie :P

If you have any queations, feel free to ask them. If you want us tp check your army lists, fire them up here. Rules questions too. Don't be shy! It scares the zombies ;)

Hello all, Skorne here.

(Picked the name long before some game company stole it for their evil miniatures...gah!)

Anyways, Have played exactly 3 games of WHFB and eeked out a 1W 2 L record against O&G, Khorne Daemons and Empire respectively. Reading the forums and learning is a good thing, I have seen so many good ideas on this site. The painting and modelling section most of all.

Happy bloodsucking, brain eating, whatever your thing is!

Welcome to CN! Learning from the older zombies is always the best way to go, after all, some of them might just have lasted a whole battle :D
Any questions? Feel free to ask

Hello all,
Been reading the forums for some time and thought it was about time I said hello. Got most of my good ideas from here!!
Play both wet and dry skellies and have had good results with your advice, so thanks.

Welcome to CN! Leave your jacket with your pulse, you're in for a long stay :P
Wet and dry skellys? Wet as in maybe pirates??? :| (hopes and prays)

Hello. I'm Crone. I have been a collector of VC for a long time now and have had 3 successive Undead armies. My last army consisted of all metal armored skeletons commanded by a cadre of 3 elite Blood Dragons and a Necromancer. I retired the army a couple years ago with a winning percentage of about 80%. In fact, the army that accounts for most of my losses is the Slaanesh Demon army from the Storm of Chaos supplement.

While I enjoy playing quite a bit, my real passion is painting and modelling. I have won 2 Golden Demons so far: bronze for single Fantasy figure and gold for single Fantasy monster. To me, themed armies are much funner to play than armies that capitalize on all of an army's strengths and eliminate it's weaknesses. Don't get me wrong: I have no qualms about people who build strong tournament lists. Rather, I personally enjoy those armies that might be "flawed".

My current army is being built around a "Beauty and the Beast" theme. The Beast is Konrad von Carstein and Beauty is my own creation: Baroness Sadira von Carstein (a lesser known sister of Isabella von Drak). The army is fairly well balanced with a unit of ghouls, skellies, zombies, dire wolves, and grave guard complimented by a varghulf, cairn wraiths, and some blood knights (eventually). Sadira spends the game using her powerful magic abilities to raise and augment the army while taunting her enemies from the safety of a strong unit of grave guard. Konrad leads one of the other infantry units but maintains a close distance to Sadira for the use of her leadership for Stupidity checks. Lugg leads another infantry unit. He is a Wight King (the Frankenstein model froim BloodBowl modified slightly) with the Accursed Armor (Yep! That's right! He is WS 1, I 1, and T 6...a fitting statline for a golem-like creation), a shield, and a hand weapon. I mentioned I like theme instead of strengths right? My necromancer completes the hero list. No real info for him yet as he is still a work in progress.

To wrap it up, thanks for the great place for us VC players to gather! Hopefully, I'll be a regular around here and get to know you all:)
