Hello,

I've been playing Warhammer on and off since the late 80's (3rd edition). Dropped out of Warhammer during the 90's and started back up with the release of 6th edition. Played mostly Empire and Ogres through 6th edition but 7th edition doesn't really suit my style of play with Empire so I've gone back to the dark side to my old love of the Undead. I've begun resurrecting my old skellies and found CN's painting and modeling threads a great resource to keep me motivated as I raise my undead armies.

Greetings fellow denizens of the night. I used to play Warhammer almost religiously several years back. I used Skaven for the longest time with a brief stint as Lizardmen and then Bretonnian. I fell out of the hobby a few years back.

The undead have always interested me both as an army and lore in general. I never picked up an army because a good friend of mines was an undead player, and I liked having a unique army in our playing group. A couple years back he ended up selling his undead but by that time I was already out of the hobby. During this time my gaming group was mainly playing Warhammer 40k. Recently the group has picked up Warhammer Fantasy once again, instead of dusting off my Skaven army, I decided to start a brand new one, and decided on Vampire Counts.

I enjoy all parts of the hobby, but I hold a special love for painting. I have been perusing these boards for a couple of weeks now and finally decided to register and introduce myself. Thank you for all the useful information both in tactics and painting/modeling advice. I shall be around.

Welcome Pureblood. If you love painting, please open a painting log, many of us (including myself) would like to see your work. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hi to you all. Im Jari from Finland, 27y old (well still young for a vampire)

I was dragged back to warhammer fantasy by 2 of my friends recently. I used to play back when Nagash was still around, i think it was 3rd or 4th Edition of Warhammer back then (Starter box gave u Helves and Gobbos). Im trying to find all my "Old" undead models, but i have moved like 5 times after i stopped playing, only thing i remember that they are inside on dark millennium box somewhere in my cellar. Well, i just bought Vampire Counts Spearhead, 3 Grave guard boxes and Zombie box.

Need to learn play again with these new dudes and rules.

How goes it everyone, I'm bahamutzer0. I only just started getting into fantasy recently, been reading The Vampire Genevieve book and have played I think 2, maybe 3 chronicles of WHFRP. I've been playing 40K on and off for the past few years, mostly with my Necron army and for some small battles I play with my Chaos of about 1k pts.

I chose VC to be my first fantasy army because of various reasons. One because I've always been fascinated with vampires and the undead, my dad likes a lot of the old Universal and Hammer Films monster/horror movies and I've grown up loving that stuff. In my mind at least, VC is also the closest army to Necrons (WWB=IoN).

yeah, so I'm somewhat of a noob and I'm looking forward to gaining some experience and knowledge from you all.

Hello,

My fake internet name is rufus, and I've been playing warhammer for some time now. My first army were the undead, back before the schism into vampires and mummies. I always planned to repair and repaint my mouldering horde of the walking dead under the sixth edition list, but I never quite got round to it.

But, a couple of weeks ago I bought the latest army book, which I like very much (bringing back wraiths and getting rid of bloodlines both make the vampire army much more appealing to me). So, now I am working on making a presentable army. Once I've sorted out all the old stuff, I might even buy some of the new models...

Oh, and I like this forum!

Hello,

I live in Alaska and I started playing VC with the new codex. I played a few games and went to the Ard Boyz tourny earlier this year.

My VC have some dark elf halbard guys and chaos warriors in the units of GG to represent enemies being raised to fight for me after I defeat them. I will be using the new chaos knights as black knights.

I also play 40k: Necron, Dark Angels, Space Marines and Tau
D&D/RPG: Currently playing in a True 20 campaign

I'm trying to build the Warhammer Fantasy player base in my area so I don't have to drive to Anchorage for a game.

Hi,

My name is Ric (yeah I know not a very imposing vampire name) and I'm 39 years old. I'm getting into warhammer fantasy for the first time because my son plays orcs/goblins. I'm very much into strategy based games so I'm looking forward to breaking down the rules and building strategies. I bought a used army online for about $200 with a decent number of figures and I'm looking forward to painting and tweaking.

Hi, I'm The Voice. I got introduced to forums by an online campaign called Animosity 3, and one thing has led to another to bring me here! So I'm probably still a bit of a newbe to forums...

I've collected Vampire Counts since they seperated from Tomb Kings. I've got quite a lot of points, but seen as I keep changing what I want my army to be, I've probably got less points than you might expect. At the moment my force is trying to be hard hitting, with zombie units pinning my enemies down whilst the nasty stuff attacks the flanks. Meanwhile, zombie units are raised everywhere to screw over the plans of enemies and generally serve my diabolical ends!

Anyway, I've written some fluff for my army. The link's in my signature if you're interested.

Indeed, welcome The Voice.

I'll read through your fluff (Tommorow probably, I'm out of the reach of a PC for most of the evening) and comment on it.

Hi, i'm StoneDog, 24, been gaming for a good few years bouncing between 40k and fantasy and with a campaign coming up in a few months at the club i play at i decided to take up the Vampires as a new army (in addition to my dwarves)... Partly because no-one locally plays undead and partly because in the process of deciding between the dead guys and the dark elves someone else decided on the pointy ones

With that said, i love the models and background for Vamps and can't wait to start gaming with them

Im Sandro well I guess that was stating the obvious I've been playing Warhammer for about a year now as Dwarves and am just now starting up vampires

Hello everyone My name is Randy and I have played warhammer both fantasy and 40K for several years. I just decided to start a Vampire counts army because of the different units and conversion opportunities plus I have always been a zombie fan. My first units should be arriving soon so I will post some pics as soon as possible.
