Hello there, Rooty!

Good luck on those exams, I'll be interested in seeing what you'll come up with around the forums when you're cleared. Also, great choice of avatar - you've gotta love Dark Omen! :)

Welcome Rooty,

I hope you enjoy your stay here at CN. Make sure you post up pics of your models, and if you do have any queries with the 7th edition feel free to ask in the tactical section.

PLus if you do like role-plays or creating brand new armies see the links in my sig. Also don't worry about your English - it's fine xd

Hello, I am SigmarRex, and although I am not a VC player, I have been playing
for some time and have developed a great appreciation for the Undead!

Vampire Counts have always been some of my tougher opponents (Now Dark Elves of recently) , but exciting games have always resulted. I wouldn't consider myself an Empire "expert", but after playing exclusively with Empire since the beginning, I feel i've become proficient with the army over the years. Naturally, I enjoy discussing the hobby, gaming, painting, tactics, and everything related to fantasy (or any other type) of wargaming.

Hi, i've been a long time lurker and thought i may as well get involved with this awesome forum. I've been into Warhammer for about 8 years now and my VC's have been the only truly constant army i've had!

I'd say I'm more of a hoobyist than gamer. But that said, i've won my fair share of battles and i've picked up a fairly solid grasp of whammer tactics.
I'm in the process of making and fully painting a 3000 point blood dragon themed army. I've got a converted zombie dragon and corpse cart on the way and lots of skeletons and wights.
The only army i've really finished entirely are my space marines (around 40 models) so hopefully im up to the challenge of over a 100 models with my VC's! xD I'll try post a WIP blog with some pics up as soon as i can.

Cheers,
Dz'arkoth

Welcome Dz'arkoth, where in Australia are you from?
Looking forward to seeing some of your painted Vampires.

I'm from Melbourne, the coldest state in the world atm :wow2:

Hi, been lurking these forums for some time and recently got interested in starting an army with the "new" armybook. And it's always nice with a supporting community so I'll join in on the fun!

I've been in the hobby for 10+ years, started out with 40k but got hooked by fantasy around the end of the 5th and beginning of the 6th edition. I used to be play in tournaments, I was never really a competative player but more of a social one. The increasing competative nature made me lose interest but the 7th edition brought me back. And what a resurrection it has been, I really love gaming again!

I've collected and played with almost all the armies out there at one point or another. Currently I own and intend to finish the painting on the following armies: Vampire Counts (duh), Daemons of Chaos, Orcs (the goblins are done ^^), High Elves (almost complete), 2 Warriors of Chaos armies and Ogre Kingdoms.

That's all for now I guess, I gotta go assemble some skeletons now!

Hi,
I'm from Italy and I was looking for a VC forum... Here I am XD

I hope to find a lot of blood friends here!
I collect and play VC from 2003, and now i'm building (building is the exactly word, because it's a long work) my personal army: Spanish Renaissance Vampire Army.

Hello forum friends!

I am completely new to Vampire Counts but have played Warhammer on and off for several years. I became interested in VC after I saw how much trouble they give my precious ogres (which is my preferred army). Kind of a "know thine enemy" thing.

Anyway, I own the newest VC codex, but havent bought any models yet. I want to discuss tactica and see what direction I want to go before I commit to specifics. I am pretty sure I want to run just a balanced list - tarpit my enemies by summoning a lot of undead and then flank them with hard hitters like Grave Guard and Blood Knights.

I look forward to the discussions, and I will see y'all around the forums!

Hello Lord Curtis. I believe you'll find our army lists and tactics sections to be of use when trying to determine how to build your forces, heheh. :)

Welcome to CN!

Been playing Warhammer for 20 years (first 8 years on and off) my last ten years very heavy into the tournament scene but the last year I have really given up on it due to funds and the DoC book should be burned! :mad2: and the V.C toned down a bit too.
my V.C army was my first army and after reading the new V.C ARMY BOOK (not codex) I found this site from the Chaos Dwarf e-zine and joined to say HI!
I plan on gaming with my V.C more and getting all the specials and rares painted up in the coming months.

Hi all.

Besides my perhaps self-evident penchant for crabs, I've also recently decided to start a VC army. I've been on a general hobby haitus for sometime now (I haven't played a game since just after 6th ED WHFB was released, and my brushes have gone untouched for over a year) due to schoolwork and a sudden guitar obsession.

It's the holidays now though, and I've decided to raise myself a new army. I don't really care for gaming anymore (too many 12-year old kids at the local GW, and no local gaming groups) so I'm just going to be painting up VC stuff as and when I get an urge to. Just ordered the battalion and the Empire wizards set (to make me some lovely necros) and should get them by saturday. Ebay has become my new best friend on that note... after visiting my local GW after a year of abscence, I was shocked by some of the price increases and the fact that the staff who had taught me all I knew about painting and gaming had resigned, and also the fact that WD has become nothing more than an £4 advertising pamphlet, yet another reason I'm not keen to game in my local store.

Anyway it feels good to be back, and even moreso to have found a nice forum like this. I'll see about starting a painting log once I work out how I'm going to paint my stuff when it shows up, and if anyone has any suggestions on painting or models that'd be good to look into getting, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

Welcome to CN Crab Battle.

I understand many of your feelings as they echo many of mine and others on here. I hope you enjoy your stay and look forward to seeing your models. Why not check out the Golden Bat Painting Competition in the "Dying to Help" forum, I'm sure you can put some of your freshly painted models in there.

Also, if you like role-playing or creating brand new armies have a look at the links in my sig.

Greetings "O'Dark Ones"
New to this site, looking for fellow minded members that adore dry bones.
I'm currently working on a prodject that is half way to completion.
"The Charge of the Undead Brigade." Six hundred undead cavalry agaist the guns of the Empire, inspired from "Charge of the Light Brigade."
Using the old GW undead range from the late 80's early 90's (best figures by far)
Will post photo's as the prodject progresses......

Into the valley of Death
Rode the Undead Six Hundred
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the Undead Six Hundred.
'Forward, the Undead Brigade!
Charge for the guns!' they screamed:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the Undead Six Hundred

Hi all,

I have been playing VC for nearly a year now and have only just found this site. Let me honest with you, I could have done with all the good advise I have seen here prior to now :).

I am in group of about 4 regular gamers located in the Ramsgate area. I took me a long time to figure out how to use VC's and as they where my first WHFB army I think I made things hard for myself.

Now I have the hang of them I enjoy playing allot more. I regularly come up against DoC, Dwarfs, Orc's, Lizardmen and Tomb King's.

I would say my favourite unit is grave guard. My least favourite unit is Blood knights, my opponent is too smart for me to use these effectively.

Anyway, I hope get to know you all and together may we bring undeath to the world.

Hi,
long time Empire and short time DE player here.
I am just about finishing my DE now, and have bought most of my IG which is my current project. I am looking at VC for my next, (I tend to think one ahead), hopefully to start by the end of the summer.
I want to make an army with a non fighty Vampire lord, and plan to use one of the old Necromancer models to represent him. I know the new book was meant to focus back on Vampires, but personally I prefer to focus on a Lichemaster. I also don't want to make a horribly overpowered army, as that is just not fun for anyone, unless your opponent is prepared (ie tournament play)

Thanks!
