Hello all,

I've been collecting and painting a Vampire Counts army for a few months now and finally decided to introduce myself on the forums because it looks like I will soon be playing my first Warhammer Fantasy Games now I have some models painted.

Incidently I am 24 and I have been following Gamesworkshop since I was 11. Its only recently in the 3 years or so have I been able to afford to buy it however. I have 3000pts of Tau and around 4000pts of VC mentioned above.

I havent played any games before so I will proberbly be returning here for advice as I learn.

Please lookout for pictures of my army which will be on here as soon as I figure out which thread they go in!

Hi to all ,I am from Belgrade and I collect for long time first time it was in 3rd or maybe 2nd edition when I have mix of Chaos D.E. Undead and O&G army ( in that rules they could go together I like that it is more fantsy some kind of monster army) in last few yaers I collect VC army and still have Chaos all types Chaos Dwrafs D.E. Empire Bretonnia Ogre Kingdom O&G also some of 40K Space Wolves Dark Angels some of Blood Angels and Blood Bowl playing RPG painting & converting some stuff

Hello Everyone,

I would like to start off by saying I am a long time collector of Warhammer (both fantasy and 40k) but I haven't had much opportunity to play in recent years (last time I played a game of more than 1000 points was in 1997). I actually have an Orc army and a Death Guard army that have been my main focus for the last few years but I am looking to get into the VC, as I have had my eyes on them since they were simply "Undead" before all the neat Vampire stuff.

Essentially I am here to sponge up any advice in regards to army lists, tactics, or anything else you guys can throw at me and I already have three themes I would like to discuss with you guys on an approriate forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Hola!

Used to play an Undead army back in the day, but donated it all to an acquaintance when I didn't have anyone to play against anymore.
Recently I learned that a friend of mine still had his Empire army and after reading his army book I got all excited about the game again. Sadly Undead didn't exist anymore and I think they kind of butchered Vampire Counts with taking away all the different kinds of bloodlines (and Nagash for crying out loud!).
Still, my old general used to be Mannfred von Carnstein most of the time and as long as there are skeletons and zombies to command, I'm game with it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I still have like a bazillion miniatures to assemble & paint.

Hi all!

Evrard here. I started my Warhammer addiction as a WAR online Witchhunter, however, like any drug, I soon abandoned it for the hard stuff. I've been working on my Vampire Counts army for about a year now and I'm thrilled to find a fun place to show my little bloodsuckers off.

Mmmm, that's the kind of stuff we like on Carpe Noctem. xD

Welcome to the forum, Evrard and all others who joined since I posted last!

Welcome, be merry, and warm your cold blood with tales of grandeur and slaughter. Why? Because Vampires kill things, and kill them just enough to have them usable later. We're the ultimate economists and recyclers of the Warhammer World.

Hi, fellow Lords of Darkness!

I'm perhaps known from dogsfwaronline.com. I'm 28 years old and coming from Germany. Have played WHFB for more than 15 years, my armies are:

Dogs Of War about 2-3k
Druchii about 1.5k
Ogres and WoC (Warbands;))

and.....UNDEAD HIGH ELVES! :grave:

Hey guys,

I am Antonio, I live in Victoria, BC, and run Chaotic Order, the Island's Gaming Forum.

I play Bretonnians (3500pts) and now VC (2500pts). So am joining the board to learn more about it and to enjoy myself and see what I can burn and damage along the way. So I will probably be lurking a while to read and learn about this army. So bear with me if I start to ask some weird questions.

BTW if anyone is interested in coming to my site, it has been slow lately, since our weather on the west coast has been simply beautiful and so most individuals tend to go out during the great weather, so visit be a member and go from there.

Thanks,

Antonio

Hello,
I'm James and I recently started a VC army.I have the battalion, a winged vampire Lord and will soon get some dire wolves. I hope to meet you all.:skull:

Hello.

I used to field an Undead army regularly back in the days when it was all under the umbrella (so to speak) of Warhammer Armies: Undead.

While I have played Vampire Counts in sixth and seventh edition, my days of playing Fantasy appear to be coming to end, due to a lack of opponents, and trying to juggle my time between Nottingham, Hertfordshire, and a PhD, meaning that I tend to focus more on 40K than Fantasy these days.

That said, I still have a love for all things Undead, so while I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to current tactics, I may well be able to contribute to discussions about background, although I probably won't be posting that often.

Thank you for reading.

Welcome to Carpe Noctem Irisado. :)

Understandably juggling time between hobbies and PhD's can be quite difficult and is often a losing battle; I just hope you know what you've got yourself in for here at Carpe Noctem because we are.. erm.. 'demanding' to say the least xD and we don't like to let people go once they've entered our dungeons... I mean forums. :devil2:

 bonus points from me for that... I shall be expecting to see you around my favourite section then.

Welcome also to Azzurro and JamesDracula, I hope to see you both around the forum as well.

As you have an introductions forum, I may as well use it.
I'm Bodric. I'm new to VCs, but not the hobby (I have many points of Dwarves)
nice to see such a welcoming forum to begin with :)

Yes Bodric, we pride ourselves in our hospitality. We'll let everyone into our fold!

...good luck ever getting out again though~

:vampire2:

Welcome to all of you new members that I've yet to meet around the forum! :D

Hi all
I'm getting back into gaming from a 6year brake after school. Haven't played fantasy before but have always had a soft spot for VC so decided to start one up and give my mates Bretonnian army a good kicking (skeletal fingers crossed). After using this site for a few tips and tricks I though it time to join up.

Hi new to VC and back into warhammer last played in 5th edition. Used to play HE's but felt like something darker. any way ive been browsing this and warseer's boards for a couple of months and thought it was about time I introduced myself.

Welcome to Carpe Noctem DukeBorric. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask them. With the new rulebook just around the corner, it's a great time to get back into Warhammer. Also, judging from you're name, you wouldn't happen to be a Raymond E. Feist fan would you? Love his books...

HI I'm malatith, I just started playing VC's but I usually play high elves.
I have been browsing this site for a while and I have wanted to join for a while.

Hi, I'm a player of Warhammer Fantasy and 40k. I'm form spain and I don't speak English =S, I will try to understand me, okis? ;) Bye!!! ^^

First you need to get to your User Control Panel. You'll find it under the tag with the same name above here in the navigation bar. Select the option named "User CP". You'll be taken to a new screen where, on the left side of the screen, you'll see a bunch of options with "Change Avatar" being one of them. From there you can either choose one from the default gallery or upload one yourself with the "Browse" button, alternatively provide the URL to one. Remember that the limitations for avatars are 150x150 pixels and 200 KB, although one that is a bit too large will automatically be scaled down to fit. I hope this helps~

And lastly, I give a big Welcome to all those who I've yet to meet and greet! :)
