Evening, I am Vlad von Car-stain,

I have spent many years in the games workshop realm but only recently have I ventured forth into the awesome place that is warhammer fantasy.
Obviously i headed straight for the undead ones and after toying with the idea of playing tomb kings i headed for the shambling ones.
Since I have only just started I only have one unit of crypt ghouls that I haggled off a friend but a lot more is on the way, the battalion for starters!

The world shall tremble under my iron fist!

I have been playing warhammer since 5th ed. I have 2 armies, Wood Elves and Vampire Counts. I hail from South Africa where we have a small but growing gaming community.

I have roughly 3000pts worth of models for my VC and about 6500pts for my woodies.

Hi and greetings from Finland.

I have just started collecting Vampire Counts and I love them. They are so totally different from anything I've played before. With this army I've taken a fresh approach to things. Anything goes: I will try new painting techniques, use models from various companies and so on. I especially enjoy the possibility to use truly formidable leaders in the army: Vampires are a nice change to the Imperial Guard officers and commissars I usually use.

Something about myself. A student from northern Finland, enjoying the autumn and it's dark nights. Employed as a post office worker, veery cool. Hobbies include miniature games, rpgs, football and some martial arts. And I have a cat! If I ever post something odd, it's probably just her stepping on the keyboard.

That's about it, looking forward to sinking my teeth into this forum good and proper.

I do not actually own a VC army or even a Warhammer army. I'm a 40K player and I plan on starting one the beginning of next year and wanted to immerse myself into the army that i'm hoping to play. Get familiar with the rules and tactics before I get my hands on the army. The reverse of what I did with my 40K armies. So I guess i'm offering my neck to this forum

Hello fellow counts and countesses.

Here is some basic info about me. I am 25 and have played Warhammer on and off for about 13-15 years. I own a moderate High elf force, a huge Orc and Goblin Force, a Large Vampire Count force and about 2500points of Wood Elves. I also have a small Brettonian force but i don't like them... Thinking about trying to convert some into my VC eventually.
I love painting but at the same time don't have very much time to do so. My skill are limited but not bad I am always looking for suggestions so hopefully i will get some posted pics on here someday soon.
Besides Warhammer i love video games and all that jazz. Right now i go to Central Connecticut State university for the study of Anthropology. For thoes that don't know what that is I am going to be an Archaeologist someday hehe. I guess this is the more important stuff about me but feel free to message me if anyone wants to talk or has questions for me!

Just joined, and have just played (and enjoyed) my first game of 8th Ed (and my first WHFB game since 3rd Ed!). My VC won btw (500pts vs Lizards ).

I have been playing since 1st Ed, but kinda lost interest when 4th Ed came along. Many years ago I started collecting a Dark Elf army (boo hiss) but never got round to using it. Vampires were more my kind of thing but the older miniatures never did it for me. Now we have fairly decent GW models, with a large selection of sweet alternatives (Heresy, Mantic, Rackham etc). So my WHFB project is to build my VC army integrating my Dark Elf stock and various other company's miniatures that fit the theme.

Anyhoo, glad to be here. Let the blood flow free!!!

Hey everyone,
my name is Sebastian and I've been painting for about 6 years until one year ago when I quit because I lost some interest and I didn't have as much time to paint. I've recently started painting again and just finished a new vampire which has gotten me craving for more!
When I quit I also threw away most of my Warhammer stuff, and the rest I can't find, so I'm starting all over. My army will most likely be a von Carstein or Zombie Pirate themed army.

Hey there fellow suckers, my name is kevin im 29 from edinburgh, i have been playing games workshop games from 12yo to present.

my armys are my Vampire counts and dwarfs for WHFB and Ultramarines and Orks for 40k also play there side games when the occasion fits.

WHFB is my primary game at the moment and im just loving Vampires in the new rules, i have a modest 10,000 points or so of vampires and 5000 points of dwarfs my own gaming room and a few good friends that i play regularly with and you might sometimes catch me in my local games workshop on a tuesday night, well look forward to reading your posting future and my the blood always flow deep...

You can usually find me at the local club; Wasa Wargames Club, when it's open...
I play Empire, Bretonnia and Vampire Counts. That's also the order I've collected them, started playing around year 2000. Not too great of successes in the club's tournaments though I had quite a hillarious time borrowing my friends Orc and Goblins in one tournament. Now how to play with the new Ghouls with the new rules I'm not entirely sure of...

I've just started Warhammer Fantasy, had a dark past as a Tyranid somewhere, then my new Flat buddies got me started on FANTASY
Obvious first choice were VC.

Started 40k last December with the AoBR set. Latter on got into Warmachine, and now Warhammer.

Lizardmen, just started them.

What does/do your family/significant other/friends think about your 'funny toys'?
It is a hobby, they aren't bothered.

A man after my own heart, bulldogs are indeed awesome! I really want a british bulldog but have been put of as theyre meant to have genetic health issues and are high maintance. Still one day. Welcome to CN!

I started dowing tournaments in 1993, but i allways got seconds place because of the undead player. After GamesWorkshop replaced it with the great army Vampire counts ,. i had to play it !!

Well, I'm new to, but I'm not a new whf, and not to wargaming at all (I've been playing lotr Sbg for years). Found this community due to an article in the Word of HAshut, which is a Chaos Dwarf magazine. Yes, I'm a chaos dwarf player, so what the heck am I doing over here ? Well, cause chaos dwarves are not allowed at all, my army will look like and count as (in gw shops, tournaments etc.) a VC <--> Chaos army. But it will certainly gonna look like a VC army.

Hello,

We are Benoit, art director, and Mireille, project leader, both founders of Raging Heroes, a young French miniatures company that launched in December 2009.

We're obviously very pleased to present our miniatures on this forum, but also to be able to hear your comments, feedback and suggestions on our creations.

As wargamers, we always wanted to put together gorgeous armies with their own unique look. And so, with Raging Heroes, we aim to create the minis we dreamed of but could not find on the market, minis that can be key pieces for your armies and leave your opponent drooling with envy...

In addition, we wanted to indulge ourselves, and you as well, by providing multiple options. Most of our minis come with a choice of arms and heads, and even armour variations. So, not only can you easily customize your models, but in addition, we happily contribute to your Bits box ;-)

Our figurines are sculpted using 3D sculpting software and transformed into masters using a highly accurate 3D printer that is mostly used in the medical field. This technique allows us to offer our minis in two sizes:
- Heroic: human-sized hero characters that fit into a unit,
- Legendary: giant creatures that can be demons or avatars. This large size also corresponds to the 54mm-scale appreciated by painters.

While our first models have all been dedicated to Fantasy, we are also launching SF models in late 2010!

Finally, it seemed important to mention here that we faced quite a few technical challenges in developing our production system, and at the same time, we were not fully prepared for the success of our first minis… This resulted in significant shipping delays for several months. But we worked hard and did not give up! We significantly improved the quality of our masters, we are now working with one of the best foundries in the world, and we have set-up an efficient but low-cost global shipping service.

The_Risen, Zombie Giants were mainly a thing of the 7th edition rules where the Dogs of War were still around, which meant that you could actually hire a Giant into your army as a rare choice and then zombify his appearance accordingly to your taste. However, you should still be able to make use of one if you talk it over with your gaming friends.

And I'm also glad to see you here, Benoit and Mireille. You've made some interesting miniatures, that's for sure. It's good to see that you're willing to participate with your target audiences.
