Hello guys.

At first i want to introduce myself: My name is Damian im from Poland. I/ve been playing WH40k for quite a long time. Last weekend friend of mine gave me 8th edition Warhammer rulebook - after few hours of reading i was illuminated: mechanics of 8th edition is more than intuitnional and looks funny (7th ed - in my opinion sucked). So I decided to start a Vampire Counts army to conquer the Old World.

I'll do my best to be an usefull community member.

Ps. Sorry for my english im using this language quite seldom (in work mainly using russian as foregin langage)

Greetings Everyone!

My name is Murphey. I jumped back into Warhammer a couple years ago after a 10 year break. I originally started with 40K and a Vampire Counts army in '95. I ended up having my armies sold off by my room mates while on deployment only now returning to the hobby.

For the last year I have been building and playing with my Dwarf army in the local store's Warhammer League. I am a fair general, but my true passion lies on the hobby side of the game. That being said, I needed a break from painting beards and wanted to challenge myself with a new army. Thus the return to the living dead (my favorite)!

My Vampire army is on a very slow build (to get it right) and will be posted in the appropriate forum as they are completed.

Hey im alexwellace (not bigheaded at all lol) and i am fairly new to warhammer with 1 other army under my belt (we)f and now im starting vampire counts because i love the fluff and the vampire themselves. i joined to mainly descouse the fluff and my army when completed.

Greetings all, Count Dorkula here. I've been collecting Warhammer models for a few years now and Vampire Counts is my first army. I've only recently had enough time to actually start playing the game so I'm still getting used to everything but am having a lot of fun. I'm rather obsessed with conversions and using green stuff to make unique models. And my army is mostly made up of geeky references to horror movies, shows, games and stories.

hey everyone, i'm deathstrike, i've been building a vampire counts army for almost a year now and love the conversion and posing side of modelling, in total i've been playing warhammer for nine years now, am looking forward to being part of the vampiric community,
thanks,
deathstrike86

Hey peeps,

I'm Andy, and I've been using the online name chaos_dwarf since I discovered the internets.

Been thinking about a VC army for a while now, though 8th ed was the time to do so!

Looking forward to discussing tactics, lists, modelling and painting with you all.

Muchos Love,

chaos_dwarf

greetings all. I am Maxis, or Andrew if you prefer. I am a player in Toronto, just getting back unto fantasy after years of being out of the game. I collected VCs in highschool and university, but fell off it during 6th, as I was playing the same group of friends over and over, and kept losing to Skaven shooting over and over again. I eventually got tired and frustrated, and abandoned the dead in the mangled mess their minis had become after several moves. Skells are the most fragile miniatures I have ever come across.

Now back in with 8th edition, my friends and I are going to have a fresh go at it. New people, new edition, new book (I stopped playing after my Sylvania list was no longer allowed to be used at the local shop because the Storm of Chaos Sylvania list superseded it.:grave:

I am very much enjoying the changes to the game with 8th, and exploring them as I re-learn the game.

Hey I just started playing Fantasy, played a lot of 40k but wanted to try this and Vampires looked very interesting. I have played probably around 10 or 15 games now and still seem to not have found a good strategy, probably because im so used to hard hitting space marines. Looking forward to some list tips and tactics.

thanks Eric

Hi all I have been painting miniatures on and off for a long time but am still not great at it. There are some really talented painters on this site. :O

I would like to post some pics of my zombies, vampires, and varghulf but am not sure how to attach/post photos in the unholy masterpieces thread. I am currently working on my newly purchased terrorgheist.

Yes. Any help would be appreciated. :vampire3:

I am glad to find you! I am new to minitures and to table top warfare. I was attracted to the modeling painting. I hope to glean much from you all. I have already suffered a defeat from the Skaven in an escalation league. (grrr...). need some better strategy, and some allies to point me in the right direction.

Glad to be here!

Hi all,

I'm a veteran player, having played since 5th edition.
I have been browsing CN on and off for a few years and thought it time to actually sign up.
I've played VCs for around 12 years and have a total collection of around 9,000 pts.
Including 3,000 pts of a heavily themed Mousillon Bretonnian army and I'm currently working on a Lahmian TK themed army and a Sylvanian Empire themed army.
All I need is more to add to my Strigos army and an actual idea/theme for my future Necrarch army (any ideas would be greatly appreciated).

For those of you that frequent other army forums, I'm AKA Asurion Whitestar, Druchiith Darkstar, Asraith Starwood and Kryss of Clan Alkema. And I obviously play those armies with several others too.

Robtion: Welcome to the forum, when I first came on to the forum i couldnt figure out for ages how to upload pics, Basicly you have to have somehting like a photobucket account (www.photobucket.com) and upload your picks onto there, then underneath the pic will be an "IMG CODE" click it and it automaticly copies it, then just paste it into the thread on carpenoctem, a long text thing will appear and when you post your thread it will appear as an image :D

SkullGirl: Good to see another female warhammer player :D

Female WARHAMMER PLAYERS???? they exist?:scared: You guys are the combo of the two best things ever made...:konrad:

hehe, me being a geek as ususal:)

hello fellow drinkers of blood,

I am MrD, The Vampire Duck. I played Warhammer once about 10 years ago with a buddy and always wanted to start my own army but never had the funds/time/playgroup/ etc. Anyways the same friend is starting a WoC army and after much looking, reading, thinking, and discussion I have concluded I am ready to join the ranks of the Vampire Counts reigning undeath upon the lands.

: ) Introduce yourself!

Hey guys, I'm LolAndy, but Andrew works fine xD

I only played my first game of Warhammer last week against a friend using a spare army of his. But I'm eager to build my own army and get out there battling foes and raising the dead with powerful vampire lords!
I'm yet to acquire any miniatures, am hoping to draft up a good imaginary army before I commit to buying anything.
Living in Australia, miniatures are hard (and expensive) to come by so I want to make sure I'm buying the right ones!!
Thankfully, a Games Workshop is opening up a couple of suburbs away soon so I'll be able to go in there and confess my warhammer-noobness

Hi all, totally new warhammer fantasy gamer here. I watched my 2 sons play and thought I'd have a go at it, big mistake as I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)
So, learning all I can about the game and my new VC army.

Cheers all.
