Hello brethren.

I am entirely new to Warhammer fantasy. I have played rpg's for years. I finally got the dosh together and bought and painted, bought and painted and in my spare time I have bought and painted. I am also reading and studying the rules and the Vampire Counts as this is my calling. (plus they are super cool!)

I am now going to post in the army list thread my first ever list for a 1500 point army.
Please let me know what you think.

sleep well. :grave:

Hello gentlemen.

Fresh VC player, but I've been a wargamer for some time now. I've also read plenty of VC fluff and absolutely love it. I grew up with Halloween as my favorite holiday. Played lots of Castlevania, watched lots of horror movies, etc. So as far as I'm concerned there's no better fit - and since CN is the best place for VC players... here I am.

Hello!

Im very new to VC, and still building my army. I dont have much experience in warhammer fantasy, though i played necrons in 40k i while back. I have a background in warhammer fantasy roleplay, and i picked VC because i simply love the history and legends of the undead in the warhammer world. :)

Well Urzen, vampires are by far the coolest fantasy characters so that's understandable:)

If your really into role plays, there's a big vampire roleplay coming up called The Vampire Council (TVC). If your interested you can take a look here

Greetings. I have been undead since the 5th edition. I feel a hunger that needs to be satisfied...

I have always been a huge fan of the undead in the Warhammer world and Vampires in particular. And with a new book and Strigoi back in it I feel a huge urge to field an army based around them. That led me here.

Hey, I'm Rhea. I'm new to the site and really just want to know more about vampires so I can portray one more accurately in my book I'm writing. This is also the first forum I've ever signed up for, so I'm not really sure how this whole thing works :)

Hey I'm Robitus! I have been in the hobby for 6 years now, I started with Tyranids as my first force but, they have recently been neglected....

My first fantasy army was vampire counts but I sold them to a friend of mine and immediately regretted it so after experimenting with other fantasy armies I ended up back with my first love! I have recently moved from Toronto to South Carolina, so to pass the time I have just recently started a Slaanesh WoC force as my new project xD

Hi everybody.

New player here. I took a rather circuitous path to starting a Vampire Counts army, from a friend recommending the Dawn of War series a bit over a year and a half ago to my first Space Marine model to noticing the Fantasy sections on the Warhammer boards I lurked. Now my Chaos Marines languish unpainted while my first Skeleton unit is slowly growing to a respectable size.

Currently my wife and I are working on a joint project of Vampire Counts and Bretonnians with the intention of playing some games as soon as a couple hundred points of each are done. At some point I may subject the poor people of this site to my amateurish painting attempts in the form of a thread in the Painting Log Forum.

Greetings!

Old time WHFB player finally returning to the fold here. I started back in '88 and played various armies up through the start of 7th edition, which is when I and friends decided that a sabbatical was called for.

But the itch to play has returned...and undead is one army I haven't tried before so I figured why not give it a whirl.

My plan is to focus a little more on the painting and modeling side this go around. There are several games stores in town (St. Louis, MO) running escalation leagues and Warhammer nights so there should be enough activity to slate the battle thirst. However, I'm not sure if I want to get back in to tournaments or not. I had fun when the Indy GT movement started up in the US but the scene certainly feels different these days.

Hello everyone. I've been playing WHFB on and off since the very first edition, but only seriously collecting armies since the latter days of 5th edition. Vampires were my third army, after Lizardmen and Empire, started when I stumbled upon the first plastic Skeleton Horde box lurking in my loft. That quickly turned into about 5000 points of 6th ed VC, but they have lain dormant since the end of 2009 while I painted 300+ Beastmen, 100+ Daemons of Tzeentch and re-painted and expanded my Empire army towards 500 models!

I'm still working on the back end of the Empire army - just 40 Witch Hunters (!) and a pile of the new releases to go - but I want to start returning to my Vampires now there is a new Army Book. My intention is to keep the army small (by which I mean 4000 to 5000 points!) and themed around a Vampire Countess and her female companions.

This obviously means a Coven Throne and some female Vampire characters, plus some Banshees. I may try and use female models for any Necromancers, though I'll have to draw the line at all-female Zombies and Skeletons!

It'll be some time before I start posting any pics, at the moment I'll be scouting for army list advice, painting and modelling inspiration and for ideas for alternative miniatures that fit my theme. But you can check out my other work using the links in my signature, if you like.

Hello everyone!,

Complete and utter newbie here. First army and first time playing Warhammer of any kind. Just completed my first model today of my wee Terrorgheist, so stay tuned for some fail painting updates most likely! I figure if you're going to do something you might as well do it properly eh? ;) ...well, that and I'm determined to use my art degree for something!

Hey everybody I'm Heatray and I like to party :p

I've been reading the VC armybooks for the past ten years and just recently bought my first models, now I'm working on getting my army ready.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the community here and getting my army list up for review!
