It's Heavy again. i'm liking the new forum. very nice layout, yet comfortably familiar.
I had to re-register, so i thought i might re-introduce myself as well.
I'm Heavy Drinker and i've been writing VC lists and painting/converting VC minis for something like 4-6 months...
I make pretty unpopular decisions concerning my models such as making stupid huge great weapons, using a vampire ogre to count as a black coach, and painting Non Metal Metalics.
I'm a painter before a gamer, but a lover before both.
I had to re-register, so i thought i might re-introduce myself as well.

Well, many of you do know me from the old Carpe Noctem. I did have a quick peep from the old forum, but didn't have time to properly introduce myself again.
A quick run down the armies that I collect:
Tomb Kings, Strigoi Vampire Counts, High Elves, Wood Elves, Beasts Of Chaos, Empire, Dwarfs, Orcs & Goblins.
I do collect for the other main system, but I won't bother posting them.
Well, I of course must say that it is very good to be back amongst the dead (ish) people.

I'm Agifem, playing a dark elves army and beginning with a Necrarch army. I live in France, i like lemon ice cream, and i'm beginning to sound remotely skilled in WHFB. I have been playing for a year now, never even played 6th edition.

I stumbled across this site by accident and am rather pleased with what I've found.
I'm a rather old player as I've been playing WHFB since 1st edition (I did say I was old!).
My new found interest in the VC army was kicked off by me going through a box of old figures in the attic for potential ebay fodder and finding some 200+(!) plastic "Skeleton Horde/Army" skeletons I bought, and painted horribly, as a kid.
Initially I was going to chuck them all out because about half were painted with enamel paint the rest were in pretty bad condition with lots of broken bits. Instead, I worked out how many could be saved, did a test paint on a few of them and they looked superb (my painting has come on a bit in 20 years). This resulted in me stripping all of my old metal undead minis and sitting down to repaint the army again.
I'm not a tournament player, I tend to find tournaments to be too serious and I always seem to end up playing the people who cheat or argue every single dice roll. I much prefer fun games with fluffy armies and interesting battles/scenarios.
I'm actually not a big fan of the current VC army book and am hoping the 7th edition army book will be considerably better.
I play a lot of non-GW systems and am slowely turning into a snorey historicals player (primarily ancients and ultra modern). No I don't have a beard and yes I do still use deoderant!

I don't have a decent camera so I can't take photos of my minis (it's zoom is pathetic). I could scan them in but that usually makes them look a bit rough. We'll see!
I'm certainly not a Golden Demon level of painter! I did used to occasionally wargame with Neil Thomason in the early 90's but unfortunately none of his Golden Demon winning painting techniques rubbed off on me!

Greetings all.... While searching the net for rumors about the Vampire Counts book I happened upon this forum.
I have played Vampire Counts since before they were Vampire counts.... I started in late second edition. Primarily playing just Vampires and LOTS AND LOTS of skeletons.
Currently my primary army is a "Fallen Brettonian" Blood Dragon army painted in Green and Black. In total I have 7000+ points. And though my army is never finished 6000+ is fully painted.
I also have smatterings of Necharch, Strigoi and Lahmia as well as a Good sized Zombie Pirate Force.
I play Skaven, Dogs of War and have a small Ogre Kingdoms force.
Being a long time player I used to play a bit of Khemrian as half my original army of miniatures were unusable once they split the books.
Formerly played Lizardmen and High Elves.
We have a group of 9 people that meet and play at my house and a few local stores to play.
I look Forward to getting to know you all and reading your input about the game and hopefully the new army list (when ever that happens)
