how big is that new Griffon he looks about the same size as a hellpit baring the wings.

It is about HpA size but the wings are just beyond massive.

Because the mortals need all the advantage they can get. Smaller base-size = less attackers. It's just the tilt that GW puts on everything that they deem "worthy"...

Personally I would feel that the griffin and sphinx should be on the larger base too.

The bird feet are outright fantastic! The feathers look a bit dark though, a little more contrast in the highlights would do them good I think
