Oh, Brother, these bones...
What you have done withe the Necrolith beast is basically scale modelling the hell out of it. I have yet to see better painted old, sand beaten, wind swept bones. Be- au- ti- ful!
Added this thread to watch list in hope of learning something useful from you, especially in reading and understanding the light which translates into nmm.

Awesome work!

Just catching up....

You say roughly around "tabletop" standard, but wow your models are so much beyond what I could do at my best, never mind tabletop! :rofl_an:

Really enjoy the dark sombre approach, and the zombies will blend beautifully with the rest of the Deathrattle army. As others have mentioned, the wight blade is brill, I can that looking so well if applied to a unit of Grave Guard xd

It's amazing how some people say "this is just battle ready", and come with models far superior to the average painting ...
...while you find announcements for models "pro painted" on sale, that were probably just dropped into a can of paint. :p

Ahhh yes, the Pro Painted tag. Really does amaze me though what does and doesn't sell, particularly on places like esty etc.

I've had very poor luck selling models in general, often I think attributed to me being in Aus as postage to anywhere else is pretty killer.

Then I see recasts from Ukraine/china/Russia "pro painted" of things like Ushoran selling for over $500 AUD that look like they were painted in half an hour.

Ouch. Yep, Australia is a big deal.

Tis bonkers, some of those "professional" are really poor, which makes me wonder who the hell spends that amount of money. I'ver never bought anything from Australia, does that put people off a lot then? Are shipping costs ridiculous as I can get something over from the US to the UK for reasonable prices :thinking_an:

Another superb paint job. The red cloth on this stands out for me, the subtle shading and highlight works really well. Is that a headswap as well?

Small package from the UK around 20 pound. US is about the same.

Thank you 😊. It's actually a 3d print from Rafail, as I'm not lucky enough to own the original

Yeah, yet another thing I find very refreshing and inspiring in your TK minis- the fact that you don't go the usual way of making the Liche- folks' skin light, varying between light browns and yellows, but you paint them dark greys or browns, or even blacks, like the parched mummified leather. That really adds to their menacing look, imho. Awesome work!

Thank you so much 😊. Yeah whilst I get why GW stick to the brighter colours for appearance in general and keeping it light hearted, I was entirely inspired by the real life mummified artifacts. Mummified skin is really interesting, and almost looks like dried seaweed or Biltong which as you noted, I felt looked more creepy and evil 🤘

So moving onto a Tomb Scorpion. Actually really like this sculpt now...kinda a running theme of liking a LOT of the older sculpts 😂

Not quite done, but overall pretty close
