I'm back! Been working hard on the army but don't have any good pictures yet. Still here are some WIPs!

Terrorghiest Base and mostly completed bats:

Not entirely sold on the portal yet, might need to make the main color darker (maybe add swirls) and keep the blue only around the lightning. We'll see, it was really hard to paint on that surface so I might just leave it as it is. Opinions?

Thanks for the feedback on the bases, I will be doing those last but soon enough. Also, thanks for the compliments on the spirit host, I really appreciate it. @ Cthulhu, yeah all the swirls are freehand, just did something to fill space and it ended up looking cool.

Really nice work on the army, it's always great to see a full army shot, even if it's in blurry status

As for the portal, I saw one guy do one over on warseer that looked really cool, it's a bit hard to see some of the details because the photos are all in a bit too low light, but I think he might explain how he does it somewhere

@ Seneshal - Thank you, the portal is not only a cool terrain piece but the base for my Terrorghiest. He is being painted right now and soon will be sitting atop his magical tree.

Decided to change up the portal a bit, hopefully I can get some nice pictures done soon. Until then, here is another cell phone shot:

Thanks! I was inspired by all the haunted forest fluff in the books. I also wanted to theme the army around when Heinrich Kemmler invaded Athel Loren, hence all the ended wood elf spirits!

Wow, outstanding work! That creature must have taken you forever to complete.
I take it the TG is pinned, yes? Otherwise it'd be a royal pain to transport safely.

Thanks! Here is another shot with the better camera. Right now he "balances" on the top of the tree, which tends to work our fairly well with all the limbs / bones catching on each other. Yeah, there would be no way for me to travel with him if he wasn't detachable!

Hello my fellow masters of the black arts,

I have finally finished my 2500 point army. I've still got a display board to build and paint, but that is easy enough. I'll be taking better pictures of every unit but for now I have this:

My hoard of ghouls! I like this unit because not only does it look like a "scene", but it can also transform into 3 crypt ghouls or 2 bat swarms for later use! I'm pretty happy with how the army looks and how the list plays. I had to cut a few corners (varghulf vs mortis) due to time constraints, but the modifications I've made have still left me with a fairly potent army list.

Malikos. Your army is stunning! It's a nice refreshing army I think, especially when you put them all out on display, they really tell a great story!!
Favorite...Terrorgheist! The basing + his bony spines (color) are just visually so delicious lol.
