It's been a while, thanks everyone for the kind words! Working on some black knights, maybe starting yet another army. Here is my christmas conversion for a local tournament:

Yeap! I think I've been the last 3 or 4 QCRs, SAWSs, the Hornet (while it was around) and various other smaller tournaments. I seem to recall that you are from the Sacramento area? Yorga knows me too, I've been known to get pretty intoxicated with the Roos brothers....

I've been hard at work on my black knights, just finished this guy up. Here is my almost finished wight king bsb!
Also, any admins looking at this know if the acronym tool tip thingy was updated recently? It seems all of the links to my pictures (and in my sig) are broken because "VC" is in the link.

Wow that is one badass BSB. Really dig the colour-scheme and the conversion work is great. The banner alone is pure gold, LOVE the gray bones looks really good on this model and make skull on the shield pop even more!
Can't wait to see them all together!

That BSB is pure sexiness. And I hope to see you at both this year as they will be my first years going. Funny how we are all so close 
Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like him. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with a vampire or a wight king bsb, figured with the closed helm he can pass as both. I just know I needed to get a bsb in my list, they are too much fun to convert up and paint.
I was really inspired to get some black knights in my list after reading the Red Duke, so I went with an undead brett theme for them. Plus, I had a few boxes of brett knights laying around too =). I think it works well with the spirit hosts being dead wood elves, kind of tells the story of a vampire who recently did some "recruiting" in the athel loren / brettonia region.
Anyways, here is a better pic of him and my first test black knight. The black knight needs some things changed. His horse is too bright, I wan't it to look more like the wight king's and I think there is just a little too much color going on. Also the little skulls kind of look like squid heads. Still, I'm relatively happy with the result and looking forward to perfecting the look over the next few models.
Also, I cleaned up santa claws and returned him to his rightful glory as a Ghoul King. Not sure how much action he is going to see but he is still a great model and was fun to paint.

No, QCR doesn't require fully painted. Although, a good portion of your overall score does come from painting. Still, you are eligible for best sports and/or best general with an unpainted army. And, it is still really fun to drink unlimited beers and play warhammer!

Thanks! The standard is from the questing knights (I think). I had a box of grail and a box of questing, so I just started mashing them together. Spot on with everything else!

Well, it happened again. Every time I finish an army, I get really excited about adding new units. I typically start to build and I get a few paint and then....
Another army starts! I've wanted to play Chaos Dwarfs for a long time, partly because I've wanted to return to my roots (hordes of chaos was my first army many years ago) and partly because dwarfs are freaking cool. This past weekend I inherited a bunch of random dwarf models, specifically 25+ Ironbreakers. So now I have this....
I think it needs more chaos added to it, maybe some more random skulls hanging from him or shave off the runes and add chaos symbols? Still, I'm pretty happy with the armor. I wanted to keep with the basing / colors of my beastmen because I want to use some of the beastmen in this army... kind of one big chaos warband. My beastmen look like this:
Anyways, what this means is that this blog will probably not be updated much longer. I would like to hear what you all think about the new dwarf ! Comments, suggestions?

After starting VC, I've also been collecting Beastmen, but they've taken a backseat to the Dwarves of Chaos.

I'm still lovin your painting technique. Really vibrant highlights. Vampire army looks great and the Chaos Dwarves are looking very promising!
West Coast Hammertime did a podcast about the Alamo and they were raving about how fantastic your army looks. Cant wait to see this force in person mate! You going to be at BOA? If so we should try and get a game in
