"It seems my dear that for us to have any chance of surviving tonight we must change our vote. Your time will come soon though, lucian even if you kill me the others will eventually learn the truth." Markus said.

Unvote :lucian/Nikos
Vote:Serethia

To all
"I have already voiced my protests and I will continue to do so as long as he remains. Mihael is a blight upon this room. he claims he does not vote because he is not sure, but he is all too willing to Shepard others into doing the voting for him, so that when yet another human is found murdered at his feet he can claim he is not responsible for any of it. We would all do well to be without him and his false plans and schemes, all solely designed to ensure his day to day survival. Of course we all want to live on, but no one is as cruel and calculating in their machinations as he." Lyssandra said.

To Mihael
"Even if it turns out you are not a vampire, we will be free from a scourge that has been blighting this room, you who cares so little of the value of human life." Lyssandra continued.

To all
"I Say that is it Mihael who is the vampire, and if this vote goes ignored and he lives on then we will only suffer for it."

VOTE: Mihael/ Lucifer

To Markus/Kate
"What truth is that? That I have the courage to stand by my conviction? If in the event of your demise you do turn out to be human, I will be no worse than those here who mistakenly condemned Karl yesterday. But I'm not wrong about you. If you are as deranged as you act, do you even know if one of your personalities is a vampire?"

Mihael shrugged, "Valid point that I have less empathy than most, would you use the same argument to excuse Karl's death? Because he wasn't a nice human? Or the ghoul in the corner."

To all

"I understand your worries that I may be manipulating you, in my defense in my, perhaps tainted eyes, I am merely pointing out the more prudent facts out to you to, at least what I feel is spare the most bloodshed possible. For example, no matter how a person acts, it's quite obvious that we can't accurately determine whether they are a vampire or not."

"I definitely agree with that" said Flynn with a grimace "I've been talking to and observed you guys for over a day now and I still have no bloody idea who's going to be a vampire. Perhaps it's a bit too much to expect them to just own up, y'know?"

'Hmmmph. I really can't agree with any of your votes. They seem like such nice...' Clemence trailed off and put a hand to her head with a grimace. 'I need another drink.'

The guard finally got the courage to shake Lady Anita on the shoulder. Ever since the morning she had been silent, eyes staring off in to the distance. She seemed truly shocked to her core, and the ongoing deaths were proving detrimental to her frame of mind.

"Death everywhere," she whispered, "even one by my own hand.....the blood, its everywhere....." Her eyes focused and she skittered back in her chair a foot, eyes wide in horror, "is this a dagger I see before me?!"

Silence followed before the brave guard coughed,

"Erm...yes it is my lady," he said, picking up the table knife, "remember, you used it for dinner yesterday? See....nothing to worry about." He gently patted Anita's shoulder, glancing over at the rest of the guards who were watching the scene with worry, "my lady, sunset has long passed, and they have voted once more, two of them have equal votes."

Anita rubbed her eyes, smearing her make-up into a clown-like mask,

"Flip a coin," she uttered, "Heads if the he-she-whatever the hell it is. Tails is the woman."

Dice Roll:
1-3 = Heads
4-6 = Tails

"The woman it is," Anita sighed. She could barely look in Serethia's direction as this time she did not waste her time with the guards. With muttered mantra Serethia burst in shadowy flames, her shrieks echoing around the room. More thirsty than those of the mundane variety, the fire quickly ate away here clothes and revealed her naked body for a split second before she flesh ran line liquid, eyes popping in her skull. Her screams bubbled and died before finally her bones cracked from the arcane inferno.

"How do we know if it was a vampire?" the guard asked after a moment.

"It was not.....a vampire would have taken much longer to burn......another life has been wasted," Anita said before slowly collapsing to the floor.

Another day, another death, another failure!

Serethia / Shareya is dead. Her ashes reveal a warped locked, in which a painting of Antonio just survived. Serethia was a human and lover of Antonio

Night has now started.

Mihael shook his head, almost sarcastically.

"I'd rather be indecisive than kill a couple with a future ahead of them. Please listen to me next time."

Pulling his hood up he slouched, his usual walking style, to Kate/Markus' bedroom.

"Excellent work to those of you who abstained" Lucien said as he stared at what was left of Serethia "Another dead human no doubt to be followed by another in the morning. Is it possible you can develop a backbone overnight?"

Turning around he storms of in the direction of his room "How fortunate for you. But they do say the devil does look after his own." He snarls as he passes Kate/Marcus.

Sigmund glared at Gregor as he fled the room.

"Fools! Abstaining was the only logical thing to do! We should have been biding our time and saving as many lives as possible until we knew who was a vampire." he snarled at no one in particular.

Staring hatefully at the hostess he spoke louder "Did you have to kill her in such a cruel fashion! You need not add more vices to your character! Your sheer incompetence for allowing the this situation to happen is enough!".

Looking at the others in disgust the knight turned and strode out of the halls towards his room.

"What have I done?!" Markus said in despair then turned to Mihael in anger. "Where do you think you are going? The whole point of this relationship was to protect the real lovers, but now they are both dead! Oh, poor, sweet Serethia you did not deserve such a cruel fate. If only the rest of you had backed me in voting for Lucian then an actual vampire could have been dead this night!" Markus said fuming with frustration and aching regret but then his frown faded to quiet chuckling. Kate stepped forwards towards the pile of ashes and carefully picked up the amulet.
"Markus! Don't you see, she was in love with the vampire, she deserved to die just like him and his friend, Karl. We made no mistake. She had to die."
Kate turned and walked quickly over to where Mihael was about to enter their room.
"As for you, Mihael, you didn't vote for me. I could have died and you said nothing. I don't like that." She said with a manically cheerful smile and intensely crazy, blue eyes. She then strode into the room slamming the door shut behind her and bolting it.

Mihael glanced over his shoulder impassively.

"Well I didn't vote for either of them to be put to death, unlike you. And I didn't vote for you to be killed either, so I'm unsure why you're upset."

Mihael blankly started clearing out his pockets of rubbish from chocolate wrappers. He smiled innocently once again.

"Don't worry, I still have a clean conscience, I have indicated the first vampire and haven't voted any human to death."

Mihael looked into the distance.

"To be honest even with I had killed one of them personally I would still have a clear conscience, human kind is corrupt after all." he unintentionally flashed his innocent smile.

Anita slowly opened her eyes, wiping away the gummy residue. With start she realised that the day was already late into the morning and around her all the guards were still fast asleep. Whatever dark spell had put them to sleep this time it had been powerful.

With true terror Anita could not help but peering over the balcony to see what the night had revealed.

On the table there was a large ornate wine fountain, which spouted liquid from the top to cascade down to small bowl, which when full then brimmed over and fell down to the a next large bowl and so on. At the bottom the largest bowl had small taps at the edges to release a measure of the alcohol into a glass. It was a beast of a creation, standing over seven feet tall, the top spout more like a spear.

However the vampire had seen fit to use it for more nefarious purposes. The poor body of Professor Gregor had been impaled on the top spout through his rectum. Unfortunately such was the size of the spout and the force of his impalement that his groin had been visibly torn in two up to his ribacage, leaving a shower of gore and offal to cascade down into the fountain. As with the other bodies, the genitalia had been further mutilated, this time with visible bites taken out.

Anita was about to turn away when her eyes followed the path of liquid that was Gregor's blood. It has cascaded down as the wine had, and it seemed that the vampire had taken the trouble to fill up various goblets of the vile concoction. It was only when she stared at them more intently that she realised that many had marks as if they had been drunken from........

In her horror she did not even see the bare wall where the tapestry had been torn down, where a message in blood had been scrawled:

LETS SEE IF YOU LIKE TO SWALLOW!!

[mod]
Professor Gregor Hearthwell / The Archivist has been killed by the vampire and revealed to be a human!

In addition when you all wake, you will find your mouths fill with the aftertaste of blood, it smeared around your mouth, and if any was to be sick that you each seemed to have swallowed a good amount of it.

Yummy! :vampire3:

The day has belatedly started (Sorry  )[/mod]

"Bleauurgh!" Lucien vomited violently and attempted to drag himself to his feet by clawing at his chamber door. "What fresh madness is this? There is blood upon my face but it is not my own. I feel terrible!" he whimpers as he stumbles down the corridor to the main hall. "Oh gods no..Bllleeaaurgh!" is all he manages upon seeing Gregor's ghastly fate and making the connection to the wine glasses.

After retching many more times, "Get out here!" he cries after wiping his mouth on his shirt sleeve.

Caleb awoke with a start. He knelt and vomited, the contents betraying the foul beverage which had apparently been forced upon him in his sleep. Standing, his face hardened with resolve.

"No. I know I am not a vampire, despite their attempts to make it so. I wish to ask Mihael and Kate/Markus a question. Why would you seek to protect Serethia? You say your 'relationship' was a sham to protect the real lovers. Why would you wish to protect a vampire and his whore? How would you even know without being inolved somehow?"

Mihael woke up slowly, before licking his lips and frowning.

"Blood...?"

Mihael slouched back into the main room, wiping away at his face calmly, while swallowing the rest down, not wishing to dirty his clothes: a large red leather jacket with black leather skin tight trousers.

"Morning... Oh, afternoon all" he muttered uninterestedly, glancing at the corpse quickly before shrugging."

"You'd think you all would have got the hint by now that getting close to discovering the vampires gets you killed."

He trudged up to the fountain, cleaning out a goblet with his sleeve before pouring some water from the tables and rinsing his mouth out, gargling loudly, before spitting into the fountain nonchalantly.

"Alright, my charade is boring me now." he sighed, producing a bar of very rich chocolate and snapping the corner off with his teeth.

he sat down cross legged, almost sprawling, at the foot of the fountain, while slowly snapping chocolate off with his teeth.

"Ever since day two I've had a rough idea of who could be the vampires, but I didn't tell anyone because it was evident anyone who got close to the truth got killed in a rather..." he turned around and regarded the barely recognisable corpse.

"A rather immature fashion. And I valued my life more than soke other's, as I'm sure you all value your lives the most as well." he shrugged, "Self preservation is human nature, what can I say.

The evidence is simple. Bastion was the only person to vote for Caleb on the first day, and he was killed. Now that may sound sketchy but frankly we have nothing better to work on.

Originally I thought it was TOO obvious, and thought maybe someone was trying to frame Caleb, however the fact that every person to be killed by a vampire in the night has consistently been killed shows that the vampires are obviously not trying to hide their tracks as well as I anticipated them to.

As for my fake relationship, simple. Serethia was obviously connected to Antonio somehow because she was the only one to really defend him, other than Karl who I must admit was a vampire until he died. She was evidently not a vampire though because she didn't defend any of the other's I suspected of being a vampire. Because I was bored I felt like protecting her."

he glanced to one side, an odd haunted look passing over his face.

"I lost someone close to me several years ago, he was an idol. If romance is anything close to what I felt I sympathised with her.

Equally...."

Mihael's eyes narrowed as a new idea came to him.

"Caleb and Lucien both voted for Bastion on the first day, who then was killed by the vampires when he was failed to be voted to death. On the second day, Lucien voted for Kate/Markus because it was evident we were working together and that obviously makes us vampires, even though they voted a vampire to death. I did find it amusing that you thought I was the puppet, when I persuaded them into the idea of working together. Caleb went along with the crowd and voted for the most popular. Makes sense if they're both vampires, vote like the rest to blend in, and vote for the people who seem to be making a plan."

Mihael half smiled.

"That sound reasonable to you all? They have never voted a vampire to death and have always voted for either the popular choice or someone they deemed dangerous, plus their vote died by a vampire."

Markus opened his eyes, looked around and then spat out in disgust.
"Urgh, that is truly vile."
He turned to everyone else in the room.
"Just because you like blood, vampire, doesn't mean the rest of us do."

* To Caleb *
"Honestly I did not know that Serethia and Antonio were lovers. Mihael merely propositioned me saying that there were lovers present in our company and that by pretending to be them we might draw attention away from them and save them. But now I discover that instead he was trying to protect the vampire and his beloved.

"The past is in the past, no use worrying about it now. People said things and accused others. They might have been right they might have been deceitful. Who knows? But now Gregor is dead. Will someone not help me get him off this foul fountain, so that we can lie him with the others who have so far died, the poor victims of these insane psycopaths, poor sweet Bastion and gentle Obadiah." Kate said with imminent tears, picking her way through the blood and gore to the fountain of blood and examining the best way to remove what was left of Gregor from it.

Caleb looked at Mihael, then at Kate/Markus. He addressed Kate/Markus first.

"So you tried to protect random people on the whims of a stranger? Why deflect attention from the real lovers? What does it bring you other than suspicion? What if both lovers had been vampires? If you are human how would you have felt, knowing that your fake relationship could have helped hide our tormentors? I find your reasoning deeply disturbing."

He turned then to Mihael.

"The idea to protect the lovers was yours. What could you possibly gain from it? Dont answer, you can do nothing to sway me. You have constantly boasted and bragged of your so called intelligence, how you know who the vampires are. THAT I believe, though not because of your 'theories', but because you are one of them. It is late in the day already so I will waste no more time. My mind is made up."

VOTE: Mihael/Lucifer

"I respect you Caleb, regardless of whether you are a vampire or not." Mihael muttered while studying a piece of chocolate with fierce intensity.

He giggled slightly. "You are only further drawing suspicion to yourself Caleb, immediately voting in retaliation could be seen as me being correct and you now trying to kill me before my argument gains momentum."

Mihael finished studying the piece and stuffed it in his mouth before moving his hair out of his eyes and gazing mournfully up at Caleb.

"If you were as intelligent as you thought you were, you wouldn't immediately vote for me, in your own words all it does is attract suspicion to yourself."

Rolling his eyes slightly before adopting another sprawled out pose Mihael sighed and repeated himself to Mihael.

"I've already told you why I knew for certain Serethia was not a vampire before I decided to assist her. I assisted her because I have been through a similar pain to hers and I sympathised.

Maybe you could now tell me why you think I'm a vampire properly this time rather than just insulting me."

Mihael looked up at the others, before stuffing half a bar in his mouth and fiddling with the silver wrapper.

"I suspect you because you voted for someone who was killed by a vampire, then someone who was drawing attention from the lover of q vampire, evidence you'd rather be rid of, then you voted for her, the evidence of antonio's vampirehood, to die.

The second I reasoned Antonio could be a vampire he voted against me, and you have repeated his action."
he finished his sentence with an authoritarian crunch.

"Anything you have to say?"

"I voted for you before your suspicions were fully voiced."

OOC: Wrote post with vote before reading Luci's edited part accusing Caleb

"I did not vote for Serethia, I said I would make no move to defend her. Gregor, the poor wretch, suspected that we were lovers. Not defending her was an attempt to assuage his fears. I voted for Bastion, convinced he was a vampire. When he was revealed to be innocent I was astounded and also trying to recover from being attacked by a REAL vampire. That bastard tried to take me with him. Why, I do not know. Perhaps it was because of my nobility, a quality which seemed to appeal to him. Nevertheless, the attack unnerved me and even unmanned me to a degree. I still have not recovered.
I voted for Karl not because of the popular vote, as you say, but because some very valid points were brought against him. I agreed with the arguments presented and voted accordingly. His death added to my ordeal and so I was unable to vote in good faith last night.
As for you, I have stated my reasons. I will do so again. I have suspected you from the start. You spoke early about vampires, showing a suspicious knowledge about the subject. You seek to confuse and distract us here with your talk of theories, never actually contributing anything until the humanity in the room has been thinned out. For all I know the vampires could now outnumber the humans and vote the rest of us to death for their sport. Also, you have sought to protect the lovers, even though one of them was a vampire. Despite your claim of shared pain, the lover of a vampire must be considered as an accomplice. And the protector of that lover an accomplice also."

Mihael looked up and smiled sweetly.

"Thank you Caleb, most informative. Could you explain why you voted for Bastion on the first day?

And in reply to your points, both Antonio and Karl proved that no matter how you act or what you know, that is no evidence to your being a vampire."
