Rosa felt somewhat repulsed by Mihael's awkward embrace. She tried not to show it visibly, but involuntarily recoiled ever so slightly, trying as best she could to politely wave away the offer of chocolate.
"Th-thank you, Mihael, I couldn't eat after what was put in my mouth this morning," she said. When Lucien shouted at her, Rosa's anguish turned to anger. She stood up and shouted back:
"I'm sorry I can't handle this! I'm sorry people have died and I'm sorry I'm no vampire hunter! I'm a barmaid, not a fighter! I CAN'T HANDLE THIS!"
Rosa sat down again, sobbing, "I can't handle this," she repeated, softer, "After I voted wrongly, I can't trust myself. Would you rather I just voted out of anger? That I chose you, Lucien, just so that I can say I voted for somebody? Unlike some of us here, I won't vote again unless I'm certain. I won't just jump at shadows and end up killing innocents!"
To Sigmund, more calmly
"I know you only mean to help, sir knight, but you must forgive me. Surely it's better for me to choose nobody rather than choose an innocent? There can't be more of... of them than there are of us, so if I choose without certainty there's a greater chance it'll be one of us..."
Back at Lucien
"Some of us at least wouldn't gamble human life on those odds," she spat.
