Entering the main hall, Lucien carefully picked his steps past the grisly puddles of Viktor's remains. "A new day and yet another human dead" he remarked somberly as he looked at Sigmund kneeling over Viktor's corpse.

"I should be basking in the warm glow of vindication now that somebody has exposed that foul degenerate Marcus/Kate and I was proven right" he said bitterly as he turned to Mihael.

To Mihael
"But instead I find you souring my triumph by claiming you knew all along? Just when I think there is no way you could be any more detestable you manage to find a new way to surprise me."

Caleb took in the events of the night. He turned to Mihael.

"Once more my suspicions are drawn to you. You and Kate/Marcus conspired together to protect the lover of a vampire and now she/he/it has been revealed as a vampire. You also withheld voting for Kate/Marcus so that you could "gather evidence" as you say. I say that you knew all along and were protecting each other."

Rosa entered, by now somewhat more hardened against the sight of mutilated corpses. She still felt violently ill, and immediately crossed over to sit down, but at least she managed to keep her meagre dinner down this time around.

The pile of dust, and everyone's realisation that Kate had been a vampire and was now slain, however, brought a glimmer of hope.

"Thank Sigmar, surely there cannot be many more of these foul beasts?" she said, before listening to what Mihael said. Rosa wouldn't stand for it any longer.

"Look here, Mihael," she started, "All along you've treated this like a game. In only the first day you told us you had identified all the vampires, but when confronted you said you needed more time. Then, when the next day your expectation came out wrong, you tried again to lead us to believe you knew it all along. And now, after so many innocent deaths, we have slain a vampire, and you claim you knew that all along too? If you knew, why didn't you speak?! I didn't vote because I was uncertain, but by Sigmar above, if we are to believe anything you say you've been certain for days!"

Rosa paused. "And now poor Viktor lies dead, after voting for you..."

Mihael turned around, his dirty blonde hair spinning slightly.

"And Antonio voted for me and he was a vampire. Why would a vampire vote for themselves? Think before you start accusing me yet again.".

Perhaps a little too impatiently, he returned to sucking the smoke out of his thing and staring closely at the ashes, hoping to garner some detail.

Sigmund stood and glanced at the other's looking vaguely embarrassed as he tucked his amulet back under his shirt.

"I...I know my choice yesterday was..." he trailed and the knight closed his eyes taking a ragged breath.

"Regardless. I'm sure Mihael isn't a vampire, as sure as I'm positive that Caleb and Lucien are human."

Sigmund scratched his chin.
"Who voted for Kate in the past?" he asked with a frown "That could help narrow choices down..."

To Sigmund
"The only people to vote for Kate were myself for the past three days and the creepy fellow who lurks in the shadows last night" Lucien replied "Karl and Ulfr also voted for them but I think you can safely eliminate them from your enquires.

"If you think it unlikely Caleb, Mihael and myself are vampires, and obviously you will discount yourself, there are few others left who it could be. I am curious to know where you thoughts lead you, I think we heading in a similar direction."

Mihael frowned heavily and looked down, gazing somewhere far.

"Lucien, are you sure we can trust Sigmund? He led us to voting another human to death.. And we still have nothing to prove he's human. Now I have been wrong many times this week I know, but.. My paranoia will not settle."

To Mihael

"I was wrong." Sigmund admitted "Although your own logic has been completely flawed up until this point Mihael." he noted calmly "Whilst I don't believe you to be a vampire, I also don't believe that you should trust your own suspicions. However you are right to distrust me but our remaining time is running short and we don't have time for that."

Sigmund shrugged and give the young man a faint smile "I am not a vampire but it's impossible to prove such a thing, so I shall give you this. If I am killed by common vote or in my sleep I only ask that you three trust each other."

To Lucien

Turning to Lucien he nodded "Then if we discount You, Mihael, Caleb and Konrad, then myself for now that would leave..."

The knight frowned as he thought "Rosa, Rodric, Arabella, Lyssandra, Flynn and Clemence."

He looked at the man "Is that right? Many of those I named have remained extremely silent that past few days. If we fall that reasoning then it would be one of them. We could further narrow our choices by selecting only those who have actually attended the main hall recently, wouldn't the vampires need to observe us to know who is a threat?"

Sigmund sighed "There is a single glaring flaw in this line of reasoning but let us leave that for now."

He crossed his arms as he continued to frown thoughtfully. "One of those I have suspected for some time but I didn't wish to believe I could be correct."

"Would that fit with your beliefs?"

Mihael glanced up through his hair.

"Your sincerity saves you every time Sigmund. If you're a vampire, I'd still enjoy your company. Well, what passes for enjoyment for me."

Mihael snapped a piece of chocolate, crushing it in his hand.

"What about Arabella?"

To Mihael
"It is impossible to rule Sigmund out" Lucien said whilst stroking his small beard into a point "Nor can I rule out Caleb or yourself. I simply think that there are others more likely. If I am mistaken in my next vote and Sigmund is manipulating events, the chances are I will die anyway, so I intend to seize this chance to end them once and for all."

To Sigmund
"Yes, your reasoning matches that of my own and I would indeed discount those who have said nothing. There is chance it could be one of them but I think a vote for one of them at this stage would be vote wasted."

To Rosa
"I find it odd that yesterday you were so keen to play the role of the frightened and vulnerable female who could not bring herself to vote. Yet first thing this morning, you bring up the fact Viktor voted for Mihael and then wound up dead. How convenient. No doubt you were hoping for a repeat of the previous mob mentality which saw Karl and Ulfr wrongly put to death."

"I couldn't bring myself to vote because I knew I wasn't certain. We can all have suspicions, but I don't think acting wildly on them will get us anywhere!" Rosa said back.

"As for Mihael, he's told us many times that he has everything figured out, yet he has voted for a human, and now he's... dead." Rosa paused. "Mihael could be lying or mistaken, but then he could also be a vampire. I said what I said because I'd rather he came out straight and told us he doesn't know what's going on rather than leading us all to believe he knows the vampires."

Rosa pondered a little, "If he did know the vampires, then they might try and remove him. That hasn't happened. Even if he was lying or mistaken, he's managed to pass off a reasonably good show of at least pretending to know, so the vampires surely would still go after him. Unless he was one of their own, of course, which is why I said what I did."

Mihael brushes hair out of his hands as he chewed darkly.

"But you don't know whether this charade is a double bluff or not. Its plainly obvious that whomever I have accused so far isn't a vampire, because I haven't been killed by them. So its your choice what conclusions to draw."

he sighed softly and huddled into a corner of the room.

To Rosa

"The one I had suspicions about is you Lady Rosa" Sigmund said softly "I think it's only fair to tell you so."

Lucien and Mihael

"And so everyone knows where I stand. Keeping motives and suspicions to ourselves will only impede our collective reasoning."

Mihael glanced sideways. "What because she seems to perfectly innocent? A possibility I guess. If she is a vampire, I have no idea why you're telling her, that'll certainly impede you."

Sighing he flipped a bar of chocolate over and over in the air, seemingly bored.

To Mihael
"Although I do not think you are a vampire, I really can not fathom what possibly motivates you to act in the manner you do. You deliberately court suspicion and cloud the waters at every possible opportunity."

"How is it going to impede him?" Lucien repeated in exasperation "He thinks she is the vampire. I think she is the vampire. She is trying to frame you for Viktor's death. Wake up. She is the F@"&#NG VAMPIRE!" he roared whilst pointing at the brown haired woman.

VOTE: Rosa ~ Count Darvaleth

Seemingly unconcerned at the outbursts in front of him Mihael calmly chewed.

"I act like I do because it keeps me alive, and voting this early means she has plenty of time to think of a good excuse for her humanity."

sighing melodramatically he twirled some chocolate through his fingers. "Only chocolate, nothing more."

he paused, frowning... "I think I meant logic."

To Mihael

"I was telling all of you." Sigmund explained "I am seeking to do the opposite of what Lucien accuses you off."

The knight smirked "And your being still alive has less to do with your acting and more with your sheer incompetence and lack of investigative skill...same as me."

To everyone

"I feel Lucien explained the reasons well enough...and he was right about Kate yesterday. I'm with him on this one."

VOTE: ROSA (Count Darvaleth)

The perpetual scowl on Konrad's face did not waver when he took in the sight of the unfortunate Viktor's corpse. Upon seeing what remained of the vampire they knew as Kate/Markus, however, he looked as if he wanted to smile, but didn't. Instead he took a moment to recompose his usual mask before turning back to the gathering of whoever remained.

To Mihael

"Indeed. And nobody is choosing to call your double bluff yet." Konrad said in a sombre tone(beneath his usual gravelly rasp).

To the rest

"I too do not think Mihael is a vampire. Killing Viktor in the night would be too obvious a sign, and I do not think he is that stupid."

Mihael looked at Konrad, with a very different light than he did to the others.

"Do you...?" he murmured, snapping chocolate off with his teeth.

To Mihael
"Would it make you happier if everyone voted for you instead Mihael?" Lucien sighed deeply "Did your parents starve you of attention or something when you were little? Tell you what, if we are both still here come the morrow, I promise I will do everything I can to get you killed."

"In the mean time, perhaps you could possibly vote or voice your own suspicions?"

Mihael chuckled and sprawled backwards on a chair.

"Well considering I never had any parents and have lived alone all this time, maybe I relish attention. As for my suspicions, Kate. She's unnervingly innocent to my paranoid eyes.

And now now, you should only kill me if you think I'm a vampire."

he grinned devilishly as he rested his arms on the sides of the chairs, while holding the chocolate bar in his mouth.

Rosa sighed. She wasn't sure if she should feel afraid, or relieved. Maybe better to let it all end than suffer longer?

"I see that my death is likely forthcoming. I hope that those who survive me will not be led further astray by Mihael's words, be they lies or bluffs. I vote for you, Mihael, although I imagine in the end it will account for little."

Rosa turned to the hall at large, "Do not let Mihael, Sigmund, and Lucien gang up like this. If you don't break their grip soon it may be too late."

Finally, Rosa turned to the waiting Anita.

"Anita, if I should die, please let it be by the crossbow. I will stand with my arms open for a clean shot, but my final wish is that I shouldn't die to your sorcery. Let me go like my father did..."

"Facing the foe," she whispered.

VOTE: Mihael (Lucifer)

"How incredibly moving" Lucien sniffed whilst dabbing mock tears from his eyes with his handkerchief "Who could fail to be moved by a fair young maiden making such an eloquent and well reasoned plea?"

"How unfortunate for you that you are no fair young maiden, you revolting leech. I wonder if you gave Viktor and the others the choice of this quick clean death you yourself seek before ripping them to pieces?"

Mihael chuckled and smiled maliciously through the chocolate bar held in his teeth. He was spinning his pistol around his right index finger as he slouched almost horizontally on the chair, his arms on the back of it. He gave the impression of some great cat sprawling out in its territory.

"Last time I checked Rosa I was the enemy, not Anita. If you want to die in front of the enemy let me shoot you and then we cam vote another person off. If you're going to die anyway and you're human you'd want this to happen, as we'll be one step closer to killing the vampires, because its one night less of them killing one of us in our sleep."

His eyes twinkled with a hint of insanity.

"So either I shoot you, or you admit you're a vampire."

He casually snapped the pistol around so it pointed at Rosa's forehead, his arm almost statue like still, a stomach clenching *click* was heard as Mihael's thumb cocked the weapon.

His insane eyes bore into Rosa's.
Right now.

"By brandishing that thing around you are playing straight into her hands" Lucien snapped "It is obvious you are not going to shoot but if your constant stupidity allows her to worm her way off the hook you may want to save a bullet for yourself."

To Rosa
"I see you did not vote for either Sigmund or I who are accusing you but instead you choose Mihael and hope that others will repeat their past votes for the fool. Your scheming is so transparent it would be amusing if it did not have such grim consequences."
