Interesting info, N.I.B. I guess they'll try to make up the potential lost money by selling extra minis on the new army books. Which they could do in our case by (a) reverting ghouls to the skirmishing unit they were in 6th; and (b) making Zombies the new "must have" core unit, as they're about the one unit that nobody seems to have loads of already.

For their cost, I use skelies just to Bunker my lord. They just don't do the work of an 8pt model.

I think the skellies issue really is a points one, though (but I'm just theory-hammering right now - I have yet to play a game with my slowly-growing legion of the damned). I remember reading an interview in 6th ed saying that skeletons were intentionally overpriced because you're effectively also paying a premium for the possibility of raising more. And I think they were priced about right then. They got cheaper in 7th, which also makes sense because of the change from ranks of four to five. The thing is just the 8th ed rules DRASTICALLY changing unit dynamics. Ghouls are a bargain at 8 points, but Skeletons just really need to be 6, i'd say.

I was saying that I had also read that on a Spanish blog and that I was counting that, as I haven't read it anywhere else, at the end this turned out to be just a misleading rumour, as our armies will be clearly damaged by this increase in points...

I mnentioned a while back that all GW stores at least in australia were planning a ton of zombie themed events in january (these go across all of the game systems) however it seems no one took heed to that
I suppose it was priveleged information from a store manager when nothing was concrete instead of an actual listed event on the website

That Coven Throne is sexy and exactly how I envisioned it. Also, Heinrich Kemmler is coming in finecast too.

The Vargheists are cool and I'm glad the wraith riders (Hex Wraiths) are actually a unit. But the coven throne is my favorite for sure.

I think I'm in love with the new Black Knights. Finally they're getting a decent representation!

And the monstrous infantry is interesting too, I've always liked playing around with those in my army lists.

It looks a bit skaveny how they have done the warriors in the smoke/ cloud.
I am positively giddy. piety I don't have the cash to buy it all at once!
I must buy multiples of everything.


So looking at it now it looks like we are not getting bloodline rules back, but some bloodline theme models.
Either way though its good and I love Krells axe!
