I made some further progress on this guy tonight. I'm just trying to get a feel for colors currently for his cloak and his face...
Still a ways to go on him, but we're getting there!

I actually preferred his skin earlier, it looked more 'dirty'.

Haha,like I said, I'm still getting the tones I want so I'm just messing with it. I'm going for an undead feel for his skin. With that being said, I should really use a different background for pictures so his face isn't as washed out.

I got up early this morning and got to work on this guy right away. Really took the time to work on the tones of the skin and some parts of the armor. I'm really looking to get that "I'm alive again??" type of look and feel to him.
I also messed with the lighting a bit and switched bulbs to make it look like sunlight is creeping in from the edge of the crypt (right hand side).
Let me know what you think!

I added the helmet to the base last night and I worked some more on the face. Now it's onto the cloak and such. I'm debating if I want to keep the sword rusty or perhaps throw in some glowing effects on it.

I think the sword could benefit from some work. What about instead of glow a veined darkness kind of effect?

Personally I would keep the sword as decayed as him if it is too bright or glowing it will contrast and take away from him. If it is the main focal point that is fine to bring it out more. But if he is to be the main focal point then it needs to be as rusty as him.
If he is just awoken and his Armour rusted why would his sword escape the passage of time?

Made some further work on the skin tonight. I want to keep the current tattered look going. I just need to figure out what to do with the eyes, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Also, I worked on the cloak a little bit. Tomorrow I'll tackle the back of the cloak and begin my finishing touches on him.

He's coming along though.
I took some time to add some dirt pigments to the armor and the cobblestones around his feet. I wanted to give the impression that dust and sediment had collected on him as he was entombed.
Also, I did some work on his eyes, which are hard to see regardless, but they're nice and blood shot now with clouded irises.
As always C&C is appreciated.
