RE: Necron's have awakened.

Very nice, I too came here thinking that you had some info on the necrons release :(

my only suggestion would be making those hollows in ribs on the second one a little darker, or is it just a trick of the camera?

RE: Necron's have awakened.

I must say I prefer the first one, but both are good.

Have you considered FW weathering powder? Definitely worth it. xD

And what is this? DoN and Santa on xbox?! Give me your tags!

EDIT: Realised it was easier if I gave you mine. Just message me saying who you are when you add me!

RE: Necron's have awakened.

I like the destroyer lord(the metal effect you managed on this one looks great) but the other two feels overly "matted" out or flat. Could do with an extra wash and afterwards a metal highlight. Would give the model more depth for very little extra effort.

Cheers, D.

RE: The King's of Old.

You need help with your post count ??

Anyway, back on topic, I really like your Khalida (or whatever she's called by you). Do you remember how you did the cloak/s

RE: The King's of Old.

Ahhh, that does make sense. And I hope the post count rises again, I'm just getting back into the hobby!

And if you could, PLEASE? Because it's really awesome xD

RE: The King's of Old.

The turquoise part was started with a base coat of scaley green (an oop gw paint), and highlighted with hawk turquoise, and then given very fine extreme highlights of icy blue.

The red part was base coated mechrite red, drybrushed blood red, then washed baal red, and then drybrushed again with blood red.

Hope that helps you. :)

RE: The King's of Old.

Yes that helps :) Although GW don't when they stop producing paints -_- I shall have to find an alternative

RE: Necron's have awakened.

Yeah that is a very nice destroyer, i like how it seems like theres different clolurs blended into the metal. Makes it look more alien like so kudos to that

RE: The King's of Old. Updated 4-1-11 Tomb scorpain

I like that tomb scorpion santa. Really looks like its rising out of the earth in a believable way, actually displacing the clumped dirt and grass upwards.

RE: The King's of Old. Updated 4-1-11 Tomb scorpain

I seccond Sanai that tomb scorpion looks just like he´s pushing away the ground to show his massive and monstrous body :devil2:

RE: The King's of Old. Updated 4-1-11 Tomb scorpain

Man, I love what you've done with these Tomb Kings! Those Skeleton horsemen look awesome: the color scheme on the shield goes really well with the TK fluff (it just oozes royalty), and I love how you've faded the tone from bright near the top to dark and sinister at the bottom. Great work on the bones too, I think it captures the difference between TK (buried in sand) and VC (buried in moist earth) Skellies.

Oh, and the Scorpion is ace. If I ever start a Tomb King army, I may have to copy your burrowing idea. xD
