But really looking good mate. Commission or is this Santa time?
Today was a day that pissed me right off, the necron Army I painted and hell drake are not good enough for the customer. I was right proud of the drake. Screams I will now go back to my playing violent games to calm down.

he wanted the commission for free I do not paint for free there is nothing wrong with the models they are what he approved in the final photos before shipment. key word Approved, I am sorry that you too feel that I was in error. Now drop it.

this. ...
first thought that comes to mind is:
sweet, army is painted, now, how do i skip payment....?
segmented in your next post, that waa exactly what he was after.
really sorry to hear this santa.
not sure how commision goes but im pretty sure he's seen ur work, ordered a painting standard, u do it, send pictures then ship.
not only did you paint the army, he sent you a box of broken rubbish that u fixxed up and assembled, then painted. ...
hope this settles for the best.
Tawg, yes those are super amazing. we talked about them in chat the other day. walter would make a fine bsb
Unless you're saying the undead might mount him on a banner :skull:
Oh, also, just for Santa: Page 21 of the 40K rules says "Overwatch can not cause Morale checks or Pinning Test. Any shots fired as Overwatch can only be fired as Snap Shots (see Page 13, on Snap Shots)." And the rule for Snap Shots on page 13 says "Some weapon types, such as Template and Ordance, or those that have certain special rules, such as Blast, cannot be fired as Snap Shots."
Ah, which is confusing because when you read the rules for "Template" weapons on page 52, later (Which I suspected would be the case), it says "Temple Weapons can fire Overwatch, even though they cannot fire Snap Shots." I guess that's not a terrible way to write the rules over-all since it precludes them from moving and firing if they are not assault weapons, and avoiding the use of the fact they auto-hit when other snap shots suffer worse chance to hit.
I'm sure you probably knew all this, but I was curious, and it helps to discuss rules to help remember them (At least for me) It's an interesting concept this "Overwatch".. interesting that a horde of Orks would do as well as a well trained squad of Marines :grave: But I guess it's mostly for who has the better guns, a chance to help even the odds when a really combat-y unit is coming in at you (Hello Tau?).
@ Tawg Yes the familiars are random reaper critters mostly from there familiar packs.
Love the witch hunter with duel pistols has a very van helsing feel to it. I want her now too, hmm more then just as a model.
I have seen the commissioner ones before someday plan to have them for my mostly traitor guard. The dog is awesome, I actually have the original gw female commissioner well two of them actually. So these others would fit it right along side them.
@ Melle You have the right of it though payment is given before shipping. He approved the pictures so that was last chance to change things unless he wants to send it back. Then I would have no problem changing things for him. But he declined the offer. Wanted a refund hmmm sorry no.
@ Tawg again All you do is attach the banner to the ground and have the Dog guard it, safe from all it will be till the dog falls.
Yes the rules seem to contradict themselves almost need to look for a faq I think. But as they play it here flamers can shot once and it is very annoying when charging. Worst one was when I charged the stern guard with combiflamers, was a sad day for that world eater squad.
@ melle the other option with walter is model a flag over him like barding instant banner bearer. He will even have freedom of movement.
As children, Aries are typically hungry for success. They like to be a good sport in whatever they undertake including their studies. As they get older their attitude gets stronger, and because of their competitive nature, they will do what they can to reach the top.
ok. i see. thought you didnt get paid. and thought weird if ship be4 payment. glad thats ok then.
hmmm....walter with a flag....like the old wrestler 'the brittish bulldog' you are thinking i guess? strutting around wrapped in the brittish flag, except walters chillin', not struttin'
dog guarding banner pole it is.
let ya know when hes arrived
also, you need step up your zodiac models a peg or two

I am kinda in love with Ram horns, not gonna lie. I think antromorphs with ram horns are probably my favorite.

Do you have any pictures of the original ones? I imagine they aren't quite as fun :ghost:

Well, it allows them to fire, but the rules on page 52 explain that when a flamer uses Overwatch (Since how do you lay a template on a unit that is literally in transit :skull: ), instead of the template they fire off D3 Auto-hits. The template would be devastating for a unit, clustering up for combat :zombie:

@ Tawg hehe yes I plan to someday get one of these to use as a bray shamen
Yes I do here is one though it is somewhere in this plog too. And I agree not as fun. But still a great far better then some of the male commissioners out there. Sadly the picture robs the mini of it's paint job.
I am sorry I did not mean to give the impression that it was a template. Just that due to overwatch it has became a very popular weapon.
@ Melle I am you shall soon see it though few would now of what I am doing and only see them as the different dragons.
Here are the legends of ultramarine chapter. Each a living legend

This word press plog has been brought to you today by the omega symbol. And chapter approved.
That's interesting, you used the watered down blue for shading the red cloak afterwards?
I've always been interested in trying that sorta "Clashing Colours" for shading/highlighting; I've always heard that mixing a deep complimentary colour to make a darker shade helps keep the vivid colours, rather than black which will dilute the saturation of the colour, and bring it closer to grey scale.
But I've never been so bold (Or productive) :ghost: Also, love the white hammer, well anything white really, that's like my favorite colour.. I might try to do my necrons in mostly white..
Its a hard shading to get right,as the colors clash making it look bad or sloppy or in the case of this cloak very well done. Cloaks and cloths are the only time I get it too work for me.
Yes most of the time black does do just that, to most I suggest keeping in the same color spectrum. It is like cooking sometimes being bold is good other times it turns out bad.
White is a fun color to do when you do it well it looks good. White necrons might be cool, depending on the accents. Would be interested seeing them at least.
that whitecloak is really good.
always wanted an army of whitecloaks (wheel of time, robert jordan. may he rest in peace) but the white and lack of fitting models always have put me off.
same with the crusading brettonians. all that barding*shrug*(proabably why they never get out of their drawer)
anyways, a tutorial or recipie coming up for it?
pretty please, with sugar on top
