so....i got this idea for your army seeing you want in a ship or two in the army.
your idea on ME/CC as a ship, with only a chariot base for it, they may be too small, hence rowboat, like you mentioned. maybe use the Lothern skycutter body for this? wingclip it and add spirithosts.
link i supplied earlier o think boats are scratch built.

as for the SHIP. why not use a larger ship, and use it for a zombiedragon or a Terrorgheists? or both, or 3 as TG's fleet

then CT and/or CC or Varghulf even could be sea monsters of sorts. school of flying fish as vargheists?

Hmm planned on wee beastie for terrorgheist but had problems with zombie dragons. A ship would work as make sense.

I planned the ship to be fully ethereal and it will have a floating base. Found a few wooden ones I think will work.

As for row boats/ rafts for Mortis engines I have found a few.

Not always do I perfectly do what a customer wants. But it is in the willingness to change and fix anything. Which makes me different then many commission painters. With the grave guard I missed the tin bitz step. Which changes how the model would look.



I honestly thought it was the difference between the old wash and the new a second look tells me I should of known.

So with a few options on how to fix it was suggested to do a light wash of tin bits to make them match here we go.In my opinion its a pretty close match, just a hair darker than the original. If you put them both into the same unit they would look the same.

So to lighten it I went over it with a drybrush of bolt gun then washed it with earthshade as I have no more mud.

Today we have a nurgle spawn. Started life as a purple wurm mini from reaper.



Some thoughts


I think a movie based on it would be awesome. Sadly I doubt nurgle would make a appearance, but maybe his zombies will.

Nice! Your drybrushing has always been great. One thing that you could add to the beast is UHU Glue to make the slime stringing off of him. Looks great though!

So first we primer then black or base coat them black. As seen in this first picture.



Basecoat the shoulder pads and the legs from the knee to the ankle in reaper deadrose red. If the mini doesn’t have a knee area, go up the whole leg.If you don’t have deadrose red, make a 2:1 mix of tuskgor fur and dryad bard.



Over the deadrose red, layer emperors children.



Paint the trim and assorted bits p3 quick silver.



Some other details in p3 brass balls.



Now we need some highlights on tubing and the face mask. I use p3 greatcoat grey.



Skin is painted cadian flesh tone and washed with flesh wash.

Today I finished the ghoul commission. Basing was simple, sand was painted black and Drybrushed scorched brown. Finished with clumps of static grass.
