Santa's Workshop : NSFW Kharn

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW SLayer Hell Jack

Here is what she is too look like. I am going to enjoy this commission alot.

So here is the first wip of the model.

Found some fan art of her

This model would make a wonderful death wizard for warhammer with some modifications.

Fish are friends not food but humans they taste good.

Now for the wonderful unveiling. Wish pictures turned out better.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death Jack

Meeting a death jack in the dark would be a very frightening experience.

Here we are with the jack, the arms got magnetized for there protection. To help with storage and shipping. The person who assembled it did a very beautiful job.

While I’m at it I also have a wip shot of the jack with the arms on.

Here is some awesome fan art.

Now we shall move on to another wip of this beautiful model.

It’s green

Here is the finished beauty that is the death jack

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death Jack

I hope you like playing with your models turned around backwards. Deathjack is a PITA to play with.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death Jack

Well I double check I am not sure what you mean it is backwards. It's a commission for a customer.

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death Jack

aww, it's a commision. You don't play Cryx I take it? The model is not assembled backwards or anything like that. Everyone tends to play Deathjack turned around backwards because the massive arms on the jack completely get in the way when moving it into melee range of another model anc since the model's rules have 360 degree vision, it doesn't matter which direction the model is facing for gaming purposes.

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW half orc

 You actually had me worried there for a moment.

Half orc female warrior. In shinny plate mail.

Coffee yes coffee

Here is the half orc which is now over half done. Anyone loving half orcs should check out the half orc book series by David Dalglish.

Old school gaming

The finished half orc

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW half orc

Haha, sorry. That's a sinking feeling when you finish something only to see it ruined much like the "Frost of Doom" when sealing miniatures. Ugh, that's the worst.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW gnome illusionist

I swear by my method of sealing.

Don't.

Or if you have to seal it, seal it by hand. A coat of 'ard coat, followed by a coat of Lahmian medium. Nice Matted finishe, no frost of death.

Nothing more fun then playing a prank full of illusions on your own party.

But something’s are just too hard to believe. Even with seeing them. Like my daughter sleeping upright.

Back to the gnome and his fluffy bunny.

So true so true

Now we have the finished gnome is it or but another illusion. Hard to tell

[Adam_Barrow]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW gnome illusionist

Nice job on his book!

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW crimson fist squad

I've been practicing my freehanding. erv:

Crimson fist command squad before I start

This is how the banner shall end up or I am hoping.

Then we also have the most famous of crimson fists artwork. As they fight a final stand against the orks.

Marines don’t die they go to hell to regroup.

Here Is a wip of the company champion.

Cookies anyone?

Finished champion.

Company Sargent
.

40k humor

Onto the apothecary

And here is the knee I forgot to do face palm.

Aye that’s the truth.

Onto the banner

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW pirate wench

Nothing hotter then a female pirate.

I bet jack that is captain jack sparrow and will would agree

So moving on I find inspiration for my figures where I can. This bodice is the reason I did my pirate female up on yellow.

As seen in this wip.

That's the truth if it right there.

So while at the paint store my little gremlin deserted me. For a nap

So moving on to the nearly finished wip shot though I ran out of time and had to pack it up. I shall finish her at home.

Very thought provoking

Here be our captain

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death wing Dreadnought

Onto a fun dreadnought which unlike I first thought will not be as hard as I first anticipated.

Dreadnoughts are true warriors for why should a cripple be left behind when the battle gets tough.

Moving on with another wip.

Now for more dark angel humor

This is the dreadnought with one more wip.

Death wing is a awesome sight on the battlefield.

Now the death wing venerable dreadnought is finished.

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death wing Dreadnought

Dread looks great. Makes me want to paint mine....must....stay.... foc...used.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Death wing Dreadnought

Being focused is like a box of squirrels on the lose.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Heresy Era world eater rhino

Let the heresy begin, wait am I too late for that. Anyways this is a special project for a rhino close to my heart. This will be a cross over piece that represents rhinos after istavaan. But before the changing of white to red.

Now pre-heresy inspiration.

Moving on here is it with all the blue finished. Now to defile everything it stands for.

A little khorne humor.

Now we start upon the metals. This was hard as my cross over model it needs to use both I decided on bolt gun washed black for the spikes.

Since we are doing the skulls on the spikes next here is a skull inspiration.

Though I doubt khorne would approve of the suger goodness

Now since this was a cross over model I had a hard time picking which legion they impaled. After a thought I choose salamanders. I felt a loyalist world eater would just be confusing. So I picked the drop site massacre victims.

Here is a few more skulls for the skull god

Next we added the gold accents upon the tank a dedication to khorne

I have always wondered how many skulls khorne has now

Down to the final details, mostly iconography. Then she was done the grand chariot of squad Taylon

[Kingside_Bishop]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Heresy Era world eater rhino

Nice job on the iconography; neat, effective and communicative. I like how clean the rhino is too... obviously a chaos tank (spikes, salamander helm, etc.), but it hasn't seen the millennia of dedication to the chaos gods that would have resulted in the kind of neglect we usually associate with chaos rides.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Heresy Era world eater rhino

yes my army has not yet fallen to mass murder on a galactic scale yet.

thanks for the kind words

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Red Genie

So this genie of the lamp shall be like jafar in aladdin

The mini being used is a old ral partha ohh the memories of that era. Here he is with the basic base coat.

Humor

Hmm three wishes would be interesting but can’t get over the fact that all magic has a price.

So here we are looking at a adorable picture of a kitty and its human pet.

Next is the gold pants on this genie. Painting this makes me want to watch Aladdin. So gold cloth is hard but I am very happy with the end results.

This is how I did it

I made a mix of p3 menoth white highlight and p3 brass balls and base coated it. Then I washed it sepia. Drybrushed it the mixed paint. Then Made a wash of brass balls ad washed it lightly.

Ohh and here is his lost lamp.

He is now ready to grant your wishes but beware there is always a price. All that is left now is some gems and the base.

Inspiration

Now the genie is done. Now where is my plunger so I can get him back into the lamp.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Iron Golem

Iron golem which if I remember right started life as a clay golem. Least the one I own was painted as one. The era of ral partha how much we forgot about you.

I feel unrelated humor is always fun.

Here we have the cobblestones done and the model primered we are ready to get busy.

So here was a tid bit that I never knew about Lamborghini. They started as a tractor company, and at some point the owner of Lamborghini was called just a tractor manufacture. Which was a insult he answered with all his talent. And we today see the result of his answer.

Moving on to the model itself two drybrushs and a wash later.

This is how we teach the next generations

Now we have picked out a few more details and of course the red eyes.

Ohh iron golem sort of inspirational picture.

Now we bring the iron golem to a close he turned out good I feel.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW stone Golem and firbolg the giant

A smaller version of giants, but still deadly to the normal humans and Demi humans.

First wip

Here is some art of the firbolg

They have always reminded me of a overly large dwarf. I think it’s the heavy use of Norse influence in both races.

Here is another inspiration shot.

Now we unveil the finished giant.

Stone golem which is very nice looking, it’s from malifaux started life as a ice golem I think. But will make a very nice stone golem.

Makes me wanna break out the snow golems

It is always sad when one paint is discontinued and the replacement is just not the same. Alas it is close but not the same.

Here is a picture Of the full moon from a few weeks ago. Over what is called casper mountain. Such a beautiful shot.

Here is the final skin tone on the golem well wait rock tone.

Well that fence isn’t high enough.

Here is the final outcome of the stone golem.

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Fire Giant king

I still feel this model looks like a dwarf with gigantism. But what a fun model to paint.

My daughter wants a snake this reminds me why I don’t

Love how the golden armor is turning out.

If mothers would understand it would not be as fun.

Now for bragging I got a promotion.

I now am certified to drive the loader at my work. Here Is a picture of the beast.
One step closer to world domination.

Now back to the giant of fire. Still in wip stages.

May he rest in peace as a good hero should

Then we have he mighty finished giant

And here he is with eyes I decided to pull a salamander space marine for inspiration. Demonic red eyes it just screamed fire giant.

[Seneschal]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Fire Giant king

Very nice fire giant. he reminds me of those in Neverwinter Nights, "Tremble before me!"

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Fire Giant king

Whoa! cool mini and nice paint job. Where is that miniature from?

[Santawraith]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Fire Giant king

Reaper miniatures he is the fire giant king, its a fun model think Ill order one for a dwarf statue when I am doing terrain again.

Up next soon as a wash drys I have a mind flayer.

[jediguru]

RE: Santa's Workshop : NSFW Fire Giant king

That is NOT a cheap mini. sheesh, $50, ouch
