Show us your Terrorgheist/Zombie Dragon

I must agree that the base is truly stagering in it's awesomeness. Also the leathery skin of the terrorgheist itself is really nice. Great touch with the moldy, furry patches; really makes it your own (as if the base didn't do that enough already:))

New terrorgheist for an army I'm planning on entering on "armies on parade".

You mind telling the paints that you used?

Not at all. The first layer is a basecoat of 50/50 mix Prussian blue from vallejo model colour and pale-grey blue (also vallejo model). It was mixed with airbrush reducer and then sprayed over a black basecoat.

It's then highlighted with the airbrush with vallejo air pale grey. The whole thing is given a liberal wash of roughly 70% asurmen blue and 30% badab black. It's then rehighlighted again with pale grey to remove any tinting from the wash.

The final highlights are done with a regular brush (the lines) with pale grey (it's subtle, but the airbrushed pale grey is never full colour because airbrush layers are so thin) and finally some pale-grey mixed with off white.

The bone is vallejo Iraqi sand, washed with devlan mud. The edges of the spikes on the spine, the teeth and claws were airbrushed black.

The reds are red gore, washed with devlan mud and then given a glaze of vallejo "transparent red". The final blooddrips and gore is made by mixing uhu glue with a bit of this transparent red and just a smidge of scorched brown to darken it. The glue is applied with a toothpick in a stringy way...

RE: Show us your Terrorgheist

Ive recently completed my terorghiest who is yet to see a battle, it turned out much better than I thought it would except im still unsure on the base, I feel it needs a lot more grass and stuff.

Its currently one of my best painted models, and im not the best painter around so im quite proud of my terrorghiest, its a combination of undead parts as I didnt want it to look like every other terrorghiest out there plus it has a saddle in case I want to double use it as a dragon sometime

Also I like the terrorghiest on top of the building, I wish Id thought of that one :)

In order to get the kind of old pale bone effect I sprayed the ghiest black, painted over the bone in white scar white and then drybrushed 3 colours (first Cadian fleshstone, then small amounts of bugman's glow and very small amounts of mournfang brown, then dipped 3 blobs of abbadon black with 10 blobs of clear water and washed over the bone with it which gave it a nice effect)

Would appriciate some tips on the base, I dont want it looking overcrowded but if anyone thinks it needs a bit more let me know

OK, I love your terorgheist, :)

Thanks! Those gravestones I bought have gone a long way. They're all over my army. Definitely recommend that set. It even came with a couple crows that ended up on a Corpse Cart.

PS
Is it correct "I'm going to open" or "I'm going opening"? sorry I don't know english very well... :innocent:

"I'm going to open." is right.
