My collection is almost entirely from my "original playing days" between 1985 and 1994. Army-wise, I played Undead and Dwarves for WFB and SM and CSM for 40k. A buddy of mine convinced me to pick up both games again after years roaming through the wilderness of non-GW skirmish games, so I spent an insane amount of time stripping ancient (and admittedly terrible) paintjobs and trying to fill out my armies to suit the modern game, I'm really only now getting to work on assembling and painting (just in time to show my 3-year old daughter the ropes).

That is an original land raider. I'm glad I was around in the days when they were sold 2 in a box for less than $20.

Your lucky to have one period, it was a hugely popular kit that was discontinued incredibly prematurely, they were rare and valuable even when they first came out.

I myself have actually convinced myself that I have far too many miniatures lying around unpainted, so am going to dive in - not by painting Skritch as I intended, but by starting on my Studio McVey miniatures and my carmine dragon. This amounts to :-

Kind of anti-VC, I suppose. It's a force dedicated to Shallya, goddess of healing, child birth, and mercy. It's an Empire Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.

From an in-game perspective, this is an Empire army dedicated to Shallya, goddess of healing, child birth, and mercy. As such, it's not going to have any war machines. Generally speaking, the units are going to be divided between the walking wounded and those who tend them. There will be one or two other thematic units, too, such as those who fetch or transport the wounded

It's going to grow pretty slowly, but I've started a painting log on it here: Empire MASH Army
