Ok, that's probably true for me too! Aim is to "finish" the army over Christmas hols, so I've got everything I plan to include to that point.

Hmmm. Bought an old metal Dark Pegasus with a view to making a Vampire on winged mount, but Morathi's legs are cast onto it. Not sure which way to go with it now.... also, how to fit it on a horsey base? Things to think about...
@Shadespyre Your skeletons are cool, are you going for a block comparable in size to your previous unit? Good luck with the rose shields, they'll look great in the end.

@Farmer7574 This block is nominally 10x5, I think the others are 10x6. But there are so many odd extra skellies (I found bits for 2 more today) and unit fillers and so on that the current unit sizes are uncertain anyway... working on my Dark Peg conversion at the moment, trying to sculpt thighs and a bottom for a rider. New skills!
Done almost nothing this week. Scored a huge lot of models from ebay and I've been sorting out, stripping and in some cases re-listing them. Not really anything fitting this project though.

Amongst other things there's a couple of nice dragons, some old Ral Partha giants and some Mithril Miniatures LotR boxed sets. Some early Grenadier D&D models I didn't already gave. Plus a bunch of modern GW LotR stuff which I'll sell on.
@Shadespyre I'd like to hear what new GW LotR stuff is aimed at resale. There are a fews bits and bobs from that line I'm still interested in. Maybe pm me so we don't clutter this thread?
Possibly the last batch of these I'll have to make...

Not sure if this is where to post this, but my answer is finally (after years flitting between game systems and projects) finishing painting my first VC unit. Good feeling! Varghulf is next on the list...

Thanks Adam_Barrow and Farmer7574!! I've started a PLOG here with both the Ghouls and the Varghulf. The Ghoul King will be next, followed by a Zombie Dragon I have waiting for paint...

@Absyrtus I think it might just be - I've had him for more than three years so he's up for a bit of paint. Since he used to be a champion of Khorne, I'm thinking all bronze armour with verdigris. Not sure about the axe though...
@Adam_Barrow My Nagash is in exactly the same state, although I'm gonna build up my army a bit before starting him (he just wouldn't look right commanding one single measly unit of skeletons!).
Perhaps you can build up to him. After a long painting break I usually start with something really simple.

@Farmer7574 Not a bad idea. Maybe the stages of painting him can replicate that, since he'll be assembled and painted piecemeal. I don't have much left that needs assembling for this army, and even less to purchase (x2 trebuchets for Screaming Skull Catapults are looking to be my last Undead purchases).
Slow going, but I think I've finally got the dark pegasus conversion sorted. Just a couple of details to tidy up and then you can see some pictures of it (unpainted).

Just got an army shot done but Tinypic keeps removing/deleting the image whenever I upload it...

I hope this is just a temporary problem of theirs...

Currently experiencing PC problems, so I can only get on here at work. Gonna try some Necromancy on it tonight (or maybe try re-installing Windows or buying a new graphics card, choice of 3 options!)
Done a little painting but pictures will have to wait until I can get that PC to run outside of safe mode! :frown:

Damn computers... If it was mine, I would suspect some anti-virus shenanigans... All the best in bringing it back to life! Minis are easier than that

I've temporarily restored PC function by disabling the 3D graphics card. I don't have time for games right now anyway, so that's on the shopping list for December. Crisis over, so I might be able to post a few new pictures soon.
