Thanks! I'm not really sure if the bone details on the armor will work with all the other bone on the CT, maybe a gold color or just a bit darker bone.

As for the book, I probably should have mentioned that the gap back there wasnt quite filled, meaning the throne was sitting just a bit of an angle. It looks kinda like its at a better high, and a bit more like he's looking at the book when he's lying flat, though I might have to have it stick out and up just a tad bit more

Finished the throne, some bits on the front (Mostly the right leg and a bit of the chest) might need another quick spray of dullcoat but I'm not really sure

The front guard bit of the body. I tried something completely different with the bone (Like 4 different colors instead of just plain white and sepia), I think I like how it turned out

Finished the second bit, its a bit darker than the front guard but I -think- it blends well enough to not be noticeable.

I didnt actually notice those two green specks until the thing was sealed, but thankfully its covered by the back of the throne

I'm not sure what to do with the book skeleton. I could either do it bone like the rest, but I'm not sure how that it'd look jutting out of the stone, or I could paint it like part of the stone

The bone looks great! As if it's fossilized at least a bit. As for the skeleton, thinking in-universe - such a flimsy thing made out of stone would shatter easily, maybe gold - as a skeleton-shaped gold book holder? I don't know if it'll look like on that stone, but it could be worth a try. Also, the rider looks properly regall

Thanks, I'm definitely gonna enter the challenge as soon as its done

Took another shot with the airbrush, this time I've got my hands on actual airbrush paints instead of thinned down citadel stuff

Each ghost was done differently just to see how each style worked out. The middle one here is completely unshaded since I figured I needed a shot of that

I havent bothered doing the rest of the model just yet, I'll get around to it eventually but for now its just a test before I do the Spirit Host on the CT

For some reason the sealant on these just refused to dry no matter how long I left them, causing this weird rough look on his back, and a bit on the masks
DSCN8037.webp

Heat fixed it, but also left this weird burn mark I dont mind enough to mess with

And I figured I'd mess around with banners a bit more, so heres a colonial flag. I'm gonna have to figure out how to make the shade spread out evenly instead of clumping up like this.

Those are some awesome ghouls! Loving the models and the sickly paintcheme. If I were to redo my ghouls at some point I would definitely use some of those LotR goblins :)

The flag looks neat enough, but the shade does appear to have clumped a bit. What kind of shade are you using? For GW shade I've found the solution is to use less paint but do it twice instead, that stops the pooling. Also, if you notice any pooling while it is drying (can happy on large surfaces like flags cause the eventually the wet shade starts collecting in certain areas), use a dry brush to suck up the excess.

I saw this neat thing from Reaper and figured I'd turn it into a Carnival of Chaos master, I'll probably end up building a band around him at some point

And I figured I'd start making a Carnival board out of some bits of cheap wood and random scraps, just for the fun of it. This is the stage, I was trying to make the backdrop look like something you'd find at a cheap carnival, but I'm not sure if it really shows or if it just looks kinda lazy. Only the backdrop is actually painted, and I plan to put some kind of red curtain hanging from that bar
DSCN8097.webp

That's an interesting mini for that Carnival master :) And I must say that the skin on the Croc looks properly crocodilean ;)

As for the scene - well, cheap usually looks like lazy ;) I would paint the black lines thinner, because the painters in that scale would use thinner brushes, even if it is lazy - but I still think it looks convincing. I wonder how will you expand it :)

Some more work on the stage. Added a different backdrop on the reverse side of the original, and made a little stand thing so it could be flipped around

I still have to add a curtain, and I'll probably throw some more random bits on the stage, but for the most part its done

Here it is on the board, with some seats in front. The plan is to put some kind of brick wall around the cut, add some stairs leading up to the stage, and fill the whole area in with dirt
