the Dragon Blood did more then take away his thirst, he can walk around in daylight and not burn up

That is a matter of will. Mannfred, and possibly vlad can also do that

True true, Fritz von Carstein could walk around in daylight and he said that it was merely a case of willpower. Hell, he taught that young vampire to do it (I forget the name, the main antagonist of the vampire wars, the one who's wife lizbet died) so you don't even have to be an old vampire lord to be able to do it.

Abhorash and dragon do teach us that dragon blood cures the blood curse. They can still enjoy blood but they don't have to drink it.

Shareya- I am merely speculating, like a good little necrarch I am interested in experimenting with the blood curse and vampirisim. Maybe even making a super bloodline with mixing the five bloodlines blood together then feeding it to a human or two and seeing what happens.

The person would die, possibly explode O_O

Walking in the sunlight does depend a bit. Some vampires suffer more due to Nagash curse and burn up even if there is only a twilight hue outside.

Ah but you are not sure :) I'm sure there would be a way of uniting the bloodlines together into one uber one.

Oh, i am sure actually! O _ O

The bloodlines are too different, Strigoi's negative effects would already screw everyone over. I also bet Necrah consider their bloodline superior to most others and do not want to spoil it.

As long as there is no proof to the contrary I will stay by my argument that the bloodlines can be sometime, somehow combined. In vampire wars one of the vonCs drinks the blood of a lahmian to become stronger so it *might* just work.

And while the Necrarch bloodline IS superior to the rest :P they do love to experiment!

Oh yea I believe vampire can preform Diablerie and take on the powers of older/higher generation vampires or other bloodlines xD

This can work to a degree but it mostly serves as a temporary energy boost.

Got to remember vampires got no issues drinking from other vampires. Specially if they are strong enough they can make the victim vamp into their little bit-...loyal follower. Also in the vampire wars, one of the vons bites a lahmian and is all arrogant how well he has taken control of her, when in reality she is manipulating his ass off :P Ah lahimans <3

Ayap! A few even I believe. Of the top of my head I can think of Ulrika's books and yet again I will be sure to slap some quotes up tomorrow once I am at home and hopefully motivated x)

There it's also pointed out that the higher ranked Von's tend to bite and drink a bit from hotheaded lower ranked ones just to put them into their place ( in a very embarrassing way ).

Cheers! Trying to make a list of Black Library novels to read

Ulrika's books are lovely as they show both Lahmians and Von's nicely. How they operate in and outside of a war, how their strengths and weaknesses tend to bite both bloodlines in the butt at the worst possible times.
The problem however is that to properly understand Ulrika you really need to at least read Vampire slayer ( and even the book before that but not so important ).

I've read Vampire Slayer so that's not a problem.

I'll put the Ulrika books to the top of me list!

Just be prepared for acts of stubbornness and occasional stupidity.

Ugh, I really need to poke that Author and see if GW has hired him for a 4th book or not.

You do that a lot then, poke authors? XD

And yeah, sure a temporary boost but that is because the blood is digested but if it was flowing in their veins (along with their own blood) the results would be interesting...

I have poked a few via twitter and such when a book I am interested in comes out.

That way I found out/confirmed < SPOILER AHEAD > that Ulrika, who runs away ( again ) at the end of the third book returns to her Mistress. But it's bit hard to say what she does to redeem herself as there is a 19 year gap between the third book and Manslayer.

Also thanks to twitter I was able to find out that Naaima would play a big role in "Neferata" and I <3 that character.

Oh and that Neferata will play a big role in the next Blood of Nagash book as well.

I can't go along with that I'm afraid. An absence of evidence does not equal evidence, and drinking the blood of a vampire from a different bloodline does not mean that all, or multiple, bloodlines could be successfully combined. There could be all sorts of unpleasant consequences for the vampire in question too.

I'm in agreement with Irisado. I have seen plenty to support the separate bloodlines, but not support the mixing. Vampires are not said to take on the traits of what they drink anyway, I really don't think that concept works.

Drinking the blood to temporarily increase strength, I can see that. To absorb and become say part Strigoi / part Lahmain (a real animal in the sack :perv: ), nope.

It's in plenty of other fantasy stories but I've never seen anything to support it in warhammer stuff (although I used it in my stories before  )

The only thing I'll say is don't some of the Black Library stories somehow support Hybrid/bastard bloodlines?
I recall reading it in one of the novels a while back (And not liking it!) but I can't remember where...possibly something old back when the background was less established.

I've got most of the Black Library novels....and I mean in the hundreds.

So far I have not come across a hybrid bloodline. The only one I have ever seen is where we went mental in the TVC - you remember the Gladius line....good times xd

The closest you have with mixing of blood is two different bloodlines being lovers and having nights of blood fueled sex ( to be blunt ).

I mean heck, there have apparently been Lahmians and freaking Strigoi ( of all things :( ) who have fallen in 'love' and ran off together to be wild and free.

Bloody Gladius's not knowing their place.

Yeah my Black Library collection is also ridiculous in it's length :P
Mostly 40K these days though.

I think the book I'm thinking of is Genevieve.
But since that book is hardly canon it doesn't really matter if my memory is right or not XD

um....Shareya the example your thinking of is actually a Blood Dragon with a Strigoi as lovers I believe the quote is something along the lines of " or a Daughter of Aborash finding love in the bestial arms of a son of Ushoran now there would be some crazy sex :konrad:

It might be the case that you could get cross 'contamination' of blood lines in terms of two bloodlines mixing, but for more than two, or all bloodlines to come together in a single vampire strikes me as being extremely unlikely.
