Just won 60 skellies on ebay! :)

More mold lines...

Can anyone believe this miracle of postage? I won these on Friday. They show up Monday morning! That's insane!:

I love these olde regiment sets. I can't believe I was so lucky to find three of them. I even snagged both kinds in the deal. One with Axe champion and one with a Mace:

I thought this was funny too. I wasn't aware games workshop ever made products in the US:

Other things arrived in the mail yesterday. I actually like the idea of the gaming edition of the new rule book and thought I would make my own. I ordered all the rulers and counters and stuff but missed out on the dice. So I went in search of replacements and picked up these gems:

Perfect in my opinion for any undead player.

So I know I have not given you any painting updates but that's because my focus has been more directed to terrain. I have no pictures of my progress on that front but will get round to taking them this afternoon when I return from work.

Edit: ok so because I woke up at 6am I actually have time before I leave for work to show you the first of my "home turf" terrain features. It doesn't look like much now but this is the start of my "mead hall":

Which eventually will look something like this:

What is that building in the photo? Is it a scandanavian church? If you can build a building like that it will be fantastic, a change to the usual buildings you see. Good luck and I look forward to seeing how it goes

Yo Set! What the f**k are you doing? Where is all this terrain you are supposedly working on? When are you getting back to painting? What are you entering into the Golden Bat Competition?

over 400 wooden coffee stirrers.

Cut one at a time to 2cm lengths.

Individually glued one tiny piece at a time.

Ladies and gentleman.

I give you.

ROOF

Dood, your stuff is through the roof!
Heh, I give you the word pun, but please try to post in English and not internet slang. :)

Seth: your roof is looking great. About the pic you used as reference, where is it taken? I feel like I've seen it before...?

And your work on the models is, as usual, top notch!

It's the Oye Stave Church in Oppland, Norway.

I am using stave churches as architectural inspiration for all the buildings in my "city".

Although with the time it takes to make this simple roof... I could be at this a while.

I am going to build some Edoras Themed Walls to go around it. This should be an easier task.

Not only do you paint models in a beautiful fashion, but you can also build some suh-weet terrain pieces. Thumbs up, all the way.

That is an awesome roof! And, that tree is coming along nicely as well.

Uht-oh, someone won't like it that you used an non-English word. Dang, I did it too.

I scoured the log (mostly looked at pics and read stuff here and there), and I just love the hugeness of the Spirit Host  I considered to get those LotR dead folks and they do look good, but I'd want to mix some normal fantasy mini with them, not sure if the style will mix well.

Being relatively cheap and plastic, I might get some anyway! I never really used Spirit Host in game though, but I just like them nonetheless, just wish they were a tad better in combat.

I just need to keep focused on current project though. Focus.

GOD DAMN YOU AND YOUR COLLECTOR'S EDITION! I went to my local GW today (having ordered my collector's to arrive there) and they didn't have my order shipped to the right location so I won't be getting it for Saturday...... :'(

Now back on topic: I love the shingles on the long house! It's looking great.

I fear that is some way off at this point... The ground floor is giving me headaches with regard to the angles of the roof. I wish I hadn't forgotten all that stuff that they teach you in math class (you know... all those formulas that you think you will never, ever, ever use in real life).

I am picking up a paint brush today though I promise. It's time to get back to amassing the Von Kerryathe legion. The rule book has inspired me and reminded me of what it was that I was working towards.
