I wish I had the energy to paint more. The truth is I prefer to paint while the sun is shining. Winter in NYC is not an ideal place to find sunshine. It's dark when I get on the Subway to go to work. It's dark when I get on the subway to leave work. The weekends when I am at home during the daylight periods are of course more or less always overcast.

I know.... Excuses, excuses! I am just lazy.

Here are some ghoul updates. I will try and get some pics of the ship up today too.

You will cover it with longer planks right? It doesn't seem too natural with three rows of them.

A wooden boat, if I remember correctly, has planks on the outside that overlap each other too. The other thing essential would be to have different lengths of plank. Any boatwright would not want to have that and have a weak spot in the ships hull. This will make that nasty looking boat even look sleeker than what it is.

I have a question for you. Will this be used in Warhammer sea battle's? If not it looks great, if so then you might have a problem. The keel shouldn't be there. It should be flat so it can move across a board easily.

Overall I still can't wait to see that thing done! Get it done, now.

Have no fear the planks that you can see will be inside.

I chose to put them on first to give a base shape on which to place the strakes. The strakes are going to be made of thinner longer planks (Coffee stirrers).

As far as the keel is concerned; it's gonna be an ethereal flying ghost ship.

Thats a very impressive army, a proper example how an army should be, i love the shields earlier on. Having made my own zombie giant i feel good to know that someone elses zombie giant looks very similar to mine. Nice work on the boat as well.
I realy want to see how the sail turns out for the boat, maybe a giant sheet of skin?
The ghouls look great, nice work with the gore.

OK... So it's not the best picture going but here is my army as it stands.

As you can see, there is a very long way to go:

This is the main force. The reserves remain un-built.

70 more skeletons and my blood nights.

I also just picked up enough parts for another unit of 60 zombies.... Like I need more zombies to paint...

Not actually happy with my corpse cart. I'm looking into alternatives.

Considering a second unit of Wraiths....

Definitely want more dire wolves and fell bats.

Today I began basing and building my 4th grave guard unit.

You have a huge amount of points there. What size list are you planning on fielding four grave guard units in?

He is not in a position of immediate danger. There is no one for him to attack. Anyone who could get within range to strike him will be impaled on the ridiculous horn being held by the guy next to him.

It could be better. Wish I had more time and more enthusiasm for painting and modeling. Also a great deal more money to buy more models.

thats how i motivate myself, i set out my entire army and think
hmm
why am i talking to myself and what do i need to add to kill more elves?

its a good inspration actualy that everyone should try

but with me it always ends up in a series of flashes that condence themselves into the stories about how the units got there and who brought them and who lead them in life and all kinds of stuff so then i have to write it down because its actualy good, but it really does help, its like an update of sorts, its also cool because you can pose them, like in a marching army or in strategic defences around objectives...

That's great! I can imagine sometimes the same thing. Never thought it was wrong until I started talking to the pieces yelling at them to fight better during Axis and Allies . Making a story around the army and units helps you to stay motivated. Good to hear you are still adding a few pieces too. I feel like you have got a lot left to make before you burn out! So keep those units coming, even if they are with a little bit of crazy
