The beauty of never playing the game is that I never have to worry about what the rules say. This legion of the dead is being raised for a single purpose. To fight a single battle. When that time comes the rules will probably be different once more.

Well skirmishers now have a strict formation with 1inch space between bases, so will most likely need a tray too o_o

Kinda lame as your unit look amazing at that size! Maybe the will in their new formation too

Of course if don't play (or rarely), then it's still perfect for display

Heya, i like your sheilds, good idea and very unique, i saw you mentioned you can only cast 4 a day so it takes a while, have you thought about using quick set resin? casts in minutes.
loving the use of LOTR pieces for spirit hosts.

Just a quick update. It's 2:50 am and I have to get up for work at 6:00

OK so continuing with my terrain project I noticed something while going through my "inspiration" pictures.

So I went to work carving my own totems. Then I used them to test paint schemes... As I am still not sure what I want to do:

I've browsed this thread a few times, but I've just sat down and read the lot. You sir are an inspiration, I've reorganised my entire army into massive blocks, and the visual impact from just that is fantastic! The only drawback is all my previously finished 20 man units now have at least the same amount again added to them, unpainted..... just when I thought I'd been making progress.....:zombie:

I'd ask you to wish me luck in getting this lot cleared up before she gets home in 30minutes time...

But as you can see from the background of this pic... I still managed my miracle. (Not so much a miracle as unfortunate fact these days. The MTA [Subway] has been terrible lately and it took her an hour and fifteen minutes instead of the thirty it should have taken her). Thank you for all your kind prayers:

So the party was fun. I had a little accident and will post more about that when I have more time.

Till then I have updates on building one.

This is the outside wall which I have decided will have a row of windows. So ever the innovator I am trying something new for the glass. I have never seen this done before but it seemed like a good idea.

Backing the inside with clear plastic (cut from the packaging of a modular movement tray kit) I put a rectangular piece of aluminium mesh in each:

and having had this stuff sitting in my cupboard for 2 years and never used I decided to give it a try finally:

We will see how it looks once it dries.

Apparently nor do I. The water effect never fully dried. even after 48 hours. I poured it as the instructions recommended no more than 3 mm deep but it still left huge patches of white in the edges of the glass. However, where the water effect dried fully it looked really great. I am certainly going to try this again perhaps only pouring 1mm at a time. making sure I paint the inside edges of the windows first (Something I noticed that I missed before).

I had the mods delete a double post, which meant that while there was a page 27 there were no actual posts there anymore.

Now that we have reached page 27 again I am sure everything should start performing normally again.

I know there has been a huge decline in actual vampire counts painting here of late. I apologize. The gods of painting have abandoned me and I have no motivation. I am painting something for the invocation though so maybe that will push me in the right direction.

Have also been a collector for a while but nothing on this scale! Recently joined the forum and have just finished going though all 27 pages. I know you said you are not very inspired/motivated at the moment but you should be rightly proud of what you have achieved so far, you deserve all the plaudits. You have clearly inspired others with your ideas and innovation, and as a newcomer, whilst i know I. Could never emulate this it has certainly inspired me to. Try and accelerate the painting of my own army , so thanks for that and I hope you find the inspiration to begin painting again soon.
